In games Austin Jackson started at Right Tackle for the Dolphins Achane had more than 5 yards per carry in 5 of the 8 games. After Jackson got injured he averaged over 5 ypc only 3 times. 4 of Tua's 6 missed games were in those first 8. Achane was over 5 ypc in only 1 of those first 4 games Tua missed. His yards per carry didn't drop because of increased volume. It dropped because they couldn't run the ball effectively after Austin Jackson and Tua got injured. His yards per carry was still insane in many games this year when there wasn't a disaster around him.
I'm going to answer the sandwich question definitively. It's in Kansas City, maybe half an hour from Arrowhead Stadium, all highway miles. Just off I-435 and State Line Rd on the Kansas side there's a butcher shop/restaurant called Fritz's Smoked Meats and they serve a hot sandwich called the Bette Roger's. Ham, brisket, bacon, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, mayonnaise, and spicy mustard on a hoagie bun. It's absolutely perfect, and I'd stake my reputation on it.
I have to second mikes favorite sandwich spot. We have Ike’s in California, and it’s by far the best sandwich spot I’ve ever been to. Give it a try, you will not regret it!
You guys should do playoff shows. You have a lot of DFS listeners. Thanks for all the free content. This comment deserves a like. P.S I was a footie for about 6months. Still a listener though!😊 I did like the video too.
In the off-season, I think it was Jason who suggested not saving FAAB for later and going hard for your guys early. So I did. In week 2 I dropped half my FAAB on Irving and a sixth on Mayfield. I missed the playoffs because my WRs were lacking (Pickens, I'm looking in your direction), but I turned Mayfield into a 10th in next year's draft and I enjoyed my Irving/Gibbs backfield all year.
A Survivor story: Dear Andy, Mike, Jason, and The Ducers! First of all, Bonjour from Hungary! My name is Daniel, and I’m writing to share a story that connects you to one of the most challenging and transformative experiences of my life. Three years ago, I was a contestant on the Hungarian version of Survivor. It was, without a doubt, the toughest challenge I’ve ever faced. ( I think, in one of the Spitballers episode you were lamenting about what is the wors part of it. It is the rain, by a mile...and the bugs) Anyway, my tribe started off terribly-we lost every game and were constantly heading to Tribal Council. It was demoralizing beyond belief. I was so determined before the show, and I couldnt believe it will be my Survivor story. My willpower and self-belief were hanging by a thread. During those dark nights, there were a few things that kept me going. The promise i made to myself about not giving up, no matter what, the thought of my family members... And there was one mantra that I couldn't stop repeating. I heard it on a silly fantasy football podcast, years ago, from three goofy dads, especially from a guy named Andy Holloway, who were talking about struggling fantasy football teams, and supported them with a simple but firm advice: "Whatever happens can happen in reverse." That simple yet profound message became my obsession...and also pizza, but that is not important now 😂 It reminded me not to give up, no matter how dire the circumstances. And wouldn’t you know it? With persistence, a bit of luck, and that mantra in mind, I went on to win Survivor that year. It was the craziest experience in my life. I just wanted you to know that you had a part in that victory. Your positivity and humor reached me in a way I never expected, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Oh, and speaking of victories-after a 7-year drought, I finally reclaimed my fantasy football league championship this year! It’s my third championship, and I honestly I couldn’t have done it without you guys, without the laughs, and encouragement I’ve gained from listening to you all. Thank you for everything you do. Keep up the amazing work-you’re making a bigger impact than you might realize. Thanks, Daniel My insta is pinterdani_offical if you want to vet my story Oh and Andy, i think you would be a great Survivor member 😊!
Devon Achane lost Big Bob Hunt to run behind. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that Carolina’s run game improved drastically when Hunt showed up and Miamis got worse after he left
Yes, love Ike’s! That sandwich is called the Paul Rueben and is my favorite as well. Mike - Get Lettuce, tomato, pickles and banana peppers. Thank me later.
Re: sandwiches, anyone finding themselves in northern Virginia should go to the Lost Dog Cafe in Alexandria. They have a ton of great sandwiches but my favorite is the Rottie: chicken, bacon, avocado, mozz, and garlic aioli. They also do pizza, pasta, and shakes, and they collaborate with dog shelters and do adoption events (hence the name).
My most regretted draft pick? In my league you get to pick where you draft based upon numbers drawn out of a hat. Last year I had the second to last choice and the only picks left were the first or last (12th) pick in the draft. In our league the team picking first never makes the playoffs and they are usually one of the lowest two teams in the end of the year standings, so I decided to pick 12th. Had I picked first I would have drafted Christain McCaffrey, instead I got Josh Jacobs.
Hey Ballers, Have you all ever went back to your pre season rankings and seen what draft position would have won the league if the whole league drafted chalk base on your ultimate draft kit? Thanks Jay
Guys I figured out the Montgomery knee thing - Dan Campbell bit off enough knee caps that he had some extras laying around. The hard part was finding one big enough for Monty's knee LOL
Comparing folks who play once per week and are not babies with folks who play 5-6x per week and are babies is a wild take. Even starting pitchers perform at the same frequency as football players.
In response to the shot at baseball and not pitching deep into games…. Didn’t lead running backs on teams used to get 25-30 carries a game? And now they split carries or max out near 16. Or couldn’t quarterbacks get hit high or low in tts old days without it being a penalty?
I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. Living here is a bit overrated. Weather is nice year round but can get muggy and hot, traffic bad, worst state to do business, no access to alot of the restaurants and stores and goods available on the mainland, alot of bugs, people joke the roach is our state bird, shipping things here sucks and always gets lost and takes long.
I made playoffs with 5 of my first 6 picks being absolute busts… CMC, White, Pittman, cooper, A. Rich. Only KUPP at pick 4 was any good and I traded him after week 1 before the injury for JT n London. Fantasy is a fickle beast…😂

...... And no talk about age. One of the final three this past season was 69. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Mike’s doppelgänger is Coach from Ted Lasso!
Woooooaaaaaaah
Or the ‘Hobbit Lover’ from Clerks 2. Kevin Weisman.
Coach Beard, I see it.
I always thought a good one was Chris Stapleton lol
👆🏻nailed it!
Andy, gotta have the producers make you a Survivor audition tape!
This was one of my favorite shows for you guys! Loved the non football plus the other great questions! Go for Survivor Andy!
Have you watched their Spitballers podcast? If not, I highly recommend! Hilarious.
We will never stop congratulating Owl !!!
🙌
I'm here for the fantasy baseball podcast, what is this nonsense?!?!?!

Fantasy footballers + survivor = happy

Never joined for the offseason before, but this is just great. Love the show guys!
Just sitting here grading quizzes during my planning and I hear my name/question regarding Bucky. Thanks Ballers! Keep those thumbs pristine.
Mike seems like he’d be a Chrono Trigger fan. Love the love for Ken Griffey Jr Baseball - easily the game I’ve played the most in my life.
I love these guys.
Fantasy Faceoff had me dying lmao! I rewatched Andy's face like 8x 🤣

OMG the mayo/pudding has to be in the list of one of the best show moments of year/season
My wife and I have been watching a lot of Survivor lately
I’m now expecting to see Andy on a future season
Thank you, Owl! I really appreciate you picking my question and adding it to the end when Andy asked if they should move on.
Long live the champ!!!!!
We need twice a week Spitballers during the off-season!
We’ll be nice and let you keep one day off through the week.
You guys should do playoff shows. You have a lot of DFS listeners. Thanks for all the free content. This comment deserves a like. P.S I was a footie for about 6months. Still a listener though!😊 I did like the video too.
Y’all were really on for this one. I enjoyed this episode 😂
Andy and Nate is such a great combo lol

Yup......dump now, not later. Well done
Jason slipping in the face tat joke to no reaction was hilarious
Really wish I would’ve listened to Mike when doing my dynasty startup for Bucky Irving and Rico!! Could’ve been huge difference makers

Welcome to the fantasy baseball podcast
“You wanna race right now?” Just sent me 😂
Amazing episode!
It’s good morning time
Was not expecting a Boston Rob reference today 😂😂😂
Yes, love Ike’s!
That sandwich is called the Paul Rueben and is my favorite as well.
Mike - Get Lettuce, tomato, pickles and banana peppers. Thank me later.

I keep adding "Off-Season Time!" in my head to the intro.
Funny that when Andy said Jason segal I immediately thought of Steven seagal too so I was on the exact same wavelength as Jason
My man mike! A link to the past is #1 of all time
Nice video game pics!
Jason loves FF7! 😮 I love you even more now bro ❤
33:53 😂😂😂insert How High *GET EMMMM*
If you're in PHX and like New Yorkers, I recommend giving Rocket Burgers and Subs a try. Chef's kiss.
As a LA native and a frequent visitor of San Diego I can agree with Jason driving in LA and SD are drastically different. i’ll take SD 20/10 times
Big Culps, huh? Love it Andy. If you got the reference, we can be friends.

Fantasy footballers actors. Mike= Nick Offerman. Andy= Jason Segel Jason= Will Farrell
from the thumbnail i thought jason had a different outfit on today… he’s like ernest
We have an Ikes in Santa Barbara, great choice Mike!
Put the foot logo on the top of the hat for the clean finger grip 👍
The New Yorker from miracle mile deli is the best answer!! 🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵
Hello Footclan!
I love San Diego too!!
Jason said go to youtube, so here i am to finish the show from spotify.
44:50 @Andy, I think focusing on being a dad is great
I love big Culps and I cannot lie
Hey Ballers, Have you all ever went back to your pre season rankings and seen what draft position would have won the league if the whole league drafted chalk base on your ultimate draft kit? Thanks Jay
Guys I figured out the Montgomery knee thing - Dan Campbell bit off enough knee caps that he had some extras laying around. The hard part was finding one big enough for Monty's knee LOL
Greetings from San Diego Jason, BONJOUR!!!
Are the new hats going to come in different sizes? I have a "Mike" sized head😂
I need Andy on Survivor like I need air
Civilization II: Test of time. Hands down best game ever made!
Yall won me my 3rd title ..thankyou ..humbly
What were the superbowl picks
That first line after iron goat is dirt therapy, I just hit it for the first time the other day! Suck a dope line!
Bioshock is such a good set of games.
Worst pick - Lev Bell holdout year
Haha same, or CMC with the first overall two seasons in a row and he was injured a majority of both
The sandwich is a muffuletta from central market in New Orleans
Andy to Jason: YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH ABOUT BASEBALL
Nick Offerman would slay as Mike The Hitman
Just woke up time!! 🎶
I love it here
If Andy went on survivor they're ratings with skyrocket
Good morning gang!
31:16 “Breathing the Insides of Me” sounds like a steamy love song 😂
My brain went the same place with Jason Segal /Steven Segal
Comparing folks who play once per week and are not babies with folks who play 5-6x per week and are babies is a wild take. Even starting pitchers perform at the same frequency as football players.
It’s Football Time!
We Are Penn State!
Throwing a baseball is the most unnatural thing in a sport. You’re stretching ligaments that aren’t supposed to be stretched
Ike's is solid!!
God of War (2018) is a phenomenal pick. Lttp is a really excellent pick as well.
I have so much respect for papa josh saying god of war 2018
the 40/60 revelation, mixed with Andy's face was LOL funny. Great episode

Keifer Sutherland for Mikes actor!
@TheFantasyFootballers Jeff Probst, the host of Survivor, asks every episode for people to apply. They are getting desperate for players so DO IT!!!
Jonah Hill for Jason is spot on
It's baseball time!
at 1:25 the phrase you are looking for is "back in the late 1900s"
Mike could be Travis Fimmel (Ragnor from the Vikings)
Who designed the hats and thought a giant unicorn point coming out of the crown was the best idea?
Dameon pierce #2 in a rookie draft. It was good for one season...
We talking everyday sando? Turkey bacon easy
But more special occasion sando? Pulled pork probably
God I love this show. But I have beef with you Jason, you convinced me to draft Kenyan Drake in the 3rd round
I’m with you Jason FF7
HALO 3!!! Let's go!
I made playoffs with 5 of my first 6 picks being absolute busts… CMC, White, Pittman, cooper, A. Rich. Only KUPP at pick 4 was any good and I traded him after week 1 before the injury for JT n London.
Fantasy is a fickle beast…😂
Worst draft pick? One that sticks out in my mind is drafting Andrew Luck pretty high in a 2B league, only for him to retire a couple days later 😭
I rode Jared Goff , Ja Chase and Mike Evans to win my championship. Also Goff wasn’t my starting QB, Kirk Cousins was lol
David Spade would play Andy 💯
