Sarah deserves a real garage! She does amazing work with what she has but I hate seeing her struggle with the space. Those jack stand freak me out but she is a brave woman! It would be awesome if she could get that abandon warehouse she does the car reviews in and also make a garage in there!

WRC drivers are some of the most skillful drivers in the world, opposite lock at 100mph on a forest track!! I used to live not far from Colin McRae and remember him doing exhibition stuff at truck shows when I was younger. As he used to say "When in doubt, flat out" the guy was a legend!

Never apologize for not having videos or anything. The amount of work you do on your own, in your garage, with shoe string budget, and how much imagination and knowledge you have will put many to shame. We are with you to the end of each project. Love your videos, all of them. I actually been looking in Copart for a focus I can rally, really follow your steps, well, not all the imported stuff, but I got the idea. Thank you. BTW, at 2:30 LOL

I'm always treated like 'dad' knows how to fix it. One of the things I had to instill with my daughter was the real honesty, which I see in this channel, is we don't always know. Maybe guys have to put up more of a front? Anyways, sometimes you have to figure out as you go. You don't always have every tool out there, a lift, etc. My daughter is starting to do her own work, even though she's not planning on any vehicle-related career. I hope Sarah can find more success, get a bigger house, garage, etc. But as a viewer, this channel is more relatable right were it's at.

Hey Sarah. What you are experiencing in Tucson with real estate is also going on in Columbus, Ohio. Here, if you like a house, you need to offer 5 to 10 percent more than the asking price just to be competitive, and most houses or condos are selling in a couple of days. On top of that, the appraised values are not keeping up with the prices sellers are getting, so the buyer has to be willing to come out of pocket to make up the difference in cash. I went through this last year and my daughter this year. It’s nuts right now. Great video!

Sounds much better. Looking down on the reinforcement @6:31 you may be able to get away with an extensive cutting job. You can bend in the entirety of the front face and bolt each end back on to the original attachment points on the vertical bar structure behind it. I would start off by notching out the ends of the bar, say roughly two inches off the top, bottom side, and "rear" layers behind the front face of the bar. Then, identify where the front bumper/bar starts curving extensively as the bending point. I would notch out a V section off at that point so that when you bend the front face in, it rejoins the V cutout and closes it up to weld. May take you a full day if you're good at math and nice with a measuring tape. But personally I don't mind the occasional next-day-wardrobe-change.

Learning to weld opens a lot of doors. Have fun, but I think you would prefer a tig, just a much cleaner process in all respects.
Did you get the rear lights to work properly with just some wiring changes? The 3 and 5 door models use the same output for brake and turn, which means when the brake lights are lit and turn signal on, it removes power from that bulb to flash. When brake lights aren't lit, it applies power to that bulb to flash. The wiring is the same from the GEM between the 4 and 3/5 door models, just with a splice joint running to the brake lights off the supply to the center stop lamp.
Without running new wires for the turn signals from the front of the car, you are going to be flashing your stop light as your turn. You could get a pretty cheap Ford specific diagnostic tool (IDS is what I would use, but I've heard good things about ForScan) and reconfigure your GEM as a sedan, which will output the turn signals only on that wire, and then wire in the stop lights to the center, high mount.

I found what you said about real estate interesting since I'm a recent transplant to the area from California... also I want to connect you to a racing friend of mine in Costa Rica... we should have you come down to do a segment.. maybe he'll let you drive his subi. :)

I love this thing. People by SXS's and do up golf carts for 10's of thousands of dollars. A lifted focus looks way more fun 😄
