Sarah deserves a real garage! She does amazing work with what she has but I hate seeing her struggle with the space. Those jack stand freak me out but she is a brave woman! It would be awesome if she could get that abandon warehouse she does the car reviews in and also make a garage in there!
Great watching you knock the shit out of your exhaust joints with a big hammer. Come to think of it, I could watch you doing just about anything. Your skill set is growing all the time, thanks to your positive determined attitude. And you’re stunning.
WRC drivers are some of the most skillful drivers in the world, opposite lock at 100mph on a forest track!! I used to live not far from Colin McRae and remember him doing exhibition stuff at truck shows when I was younger. As he used to say "When in doubt, flat out" the guy was a legend!
America is literally the perfect country for rally racing. We have the diverse landscape and environment that makes rally exciting; It's a sport deserving of more coverage and participation here for sure. 👍
Never apologize for not having videos or anything. The amount of work you do on your own, in your garage, with shoe string budget, and how much imagination and knowledge you have will put many to shame. We are with you to the end of each project. Love your videos, all of them. I actually been looking in Copart for a focus I can rally, really follow your steps, well, not all the imported stuff, but I got the idea. Thank you. BTW, at 2:30 LOL
I agree Sarah, rally racing is so underappreciated in North America. I personally love watching rally racing when ever I can, to me rally drivers are the pinnacle of driving as they are almost always driving on the razors edge. I am looking forward to seeing more of Sir Cosworth...
Be proud of your electrical skills. So many skilled mechanics struggle to make simple wiring mods. WRC is a fun sport thst yes, is severely under appreciated in the USA
Keep up the great work! Its awesome to see a vet get nice and dirty building some sweet rides! Its especially awesome to see a beautiful female vet, thats kind of dorky having fun doing these builds and learning/growing there mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills doing things herself!!!! Keep up the awesome content!
I totally agree WRC deserves more attention here in the states, it’s the main reason I bought my Evo. In the younger days, I loved watching WRC on the Speed Channel, and at that time Mitsubishi was mopping the floor with everyone.
I have been just as obsessed with WRC. Speed used to show highlights of the races at ungodly hours of the night. I'd stay up and watch them. I wasn't even grumpy when I had to wake up three hours later for work.
I grew up in New Hampshire too! Around Newfound Lake. I’ve also run (as in with my feet, not a car) the Mt. Washington Road Race 3 times and love the hillclimb!
I'm always treated like 'dad' knows how to fix it. One of the things I had to instill with my daughter was the real honesty, which I see in this channel, is we don't always know. Maybe guys have to put up more of a front? Anyways, sometimes you have to figure out as you go. You don't always have every tool out there, a lift, etc. My daughter is starting to do her own work, even though she's not planning on any vehicle-related career. I hope Sarah can find more success, get a bigger house, garage, etc. But as a viewer, this channel is more relatable right were it's at.
Being "all over the place" is really how projects like this go. You do a great job of showing how much work it really takes to do these kind of projects. As a mechanic myself, I get really tired of people who think this stuff is easy. Your skills are very good and take a long time to acquire. Looking forward to seeing you use the welder! A skill I definitely do not have.
I agree with you rally car is where it's at for excitement. Even when they are not crashing rally drivers do an amazing job of car control on ALL surfaces in ALL weather.
You really are amazing with what you know and figure out. I am so amazed at your electrical talents and actually all your talents Keep up the great work and you never have to appologize for anything or any video they are fantastic! Stay healthy and safe!
WRC is amazing. They hardly show any of the races here in the US anymore. Good thing we have internet now! The car is really coming together. Looking forward to see you rip some more with it!
I bought my WRX because I wanted to be able to do everything. And when I took it off road it performed flawless. I've also been a fan of WRC for a while it's the only real racing we have here.
Sarah, PLEASE do us all a favour and use a back up method of keeping that car in the air! Either use your Quickjack, or maybe some ramps underneath the rear tires. I can't stomach to think about one of those jackstands letting go, and your there in your garage alone! Love your content, and want to see lots more!
Sarah great video I could not believe when you where hammering the crap out of that exhaust system, but you got it then you knocked the muffler off.I really liked the sound. With your content you will have 300ksubs by the new year. Keep up the great work.
Your determination is motivating. Love the direction with the Focus. Also, I agree that it's exhilarating to watch rally racing in person. I've spectated the 100 Acre Wood Rally in Missouri at least 5 times.
I love the ADAC rally! The vineyards, them nasty Hinkelsteins that will destroy your car on contact...that is one gnarly rally. I’d love to see a WRC tarmac rally in LA. We have so many great driving roads here. Could easily have 15+ stages without running stages twice.
I been watching your RUclips channel since you started I must say Its very well done fun for friends and family to watch keep up the amazing work and congratulations on your new shop
Happy Hump Day Sarah!! Yes, bombing down dirt roads is rather gratifying, years ago it was a friend's 83 Celica GT, and my 96 Crown Vic. The Vic made Gardner Canyon Rd washboard disappear. Stay excellent Sarah!😎
Awesome Sarah....you always have the best attitude with your projects. You are the best in what you do for us i applaud you.....great video and see you next time
I just always enjoy your videos because you not only pay more attention to detail than many other channels these days but you also show that in your videos... It's just real fun to see how this car slowly comes together and starts to look and to be more and more awesome... I'm not really into those building car X in 10 minutes videos...
If property prices are high including commercial then it's time to ..... build your own. Build a place, if you ever want to move you can rent it out at a premium price. Win, win.

Looking great with the new bumper. I do recall reading somewhere that M-Sport who built and ran the Ford Focus rally cars used within the WRC used the US version of the focus instead of the European version as it was a wider car.
If you have access to a really good saw or plasma cutter, you can just lop off the edges of the front crash bar. Way easier than taking it off and/replacing it.
Hey Sarah. What you are experiencing in Tucson with real estate is also going on in Columbus, Ohio. Here, if you like a house, you need to offer 5 to 10 percent more than the asking price just to be competitive, and most houses or condos are selling in a couple of days. On top of that, the appraised values are not keeping up with the prices sellers are getting, so the buyer has to be willing to come out of pocket to make up the difference in cash. I went through this last year and my daughter this year. It’s nuts right now. Great video!
Your best is awesome. Great work so far. Loving the shortened 2020 WRC. Also this years WRX is also superb, with Johan back with the VW! Le Mans tomorrow, awake for 36hrs, yipee. Love your channel btw.
While I don’t understand why anyone would want to own a Focus let alone invest time and money into one. I do appreciate and enjoy everything you do as it’s always entertaining.
I'm looking forward to you completing Sir Codsworth and driving it. I used to watch rally racing when I was stationed in the UK back in the 80s. It was a blast. Until they stopped it because spectators were getting killed.
Sounds much better. Looking down on the reinforcement @6:31 you may be able to get away with an extensive cutting job. You can bend in the entirety of the front face and bolt each end back on to the original attachment points on the vertical bar structure behind it. I would start off by notching out the ends of the bar, say roughly two inches off the top, bottom side, and "rear" layers behind the front face of the bar. Then, identify where the front bumper/bar starts curving extensively as the bending point. I would notch out a V section off at that point so that when you bend the front face in, it rejoins the V cutout and closes it up to weld. May take you a full day if you're good at math and nice with a measuring tape. But personally I don't mind the occasional next-day-wardrobe-change.
I had an 89 Maxima that needed replacing the muffler, took it to my friends shop and midway through they ran out of argon gas. So one of the techs rode shotgun with me to another shop to finish up the repair. But I drove with no muffler and it sounded so good just wanted to keep revving the car since the vg30de sounded like a cammed v8 small block.
Another great video, Sarah. This project is really cool, because it's different from all of the other You Tubers that I watch. As the owner of a Focus RS, I'm interested to see what you can get out of this car. Lots of good episodes to come, I'm sure? Love your channel.
