Hi @superfahim It is possible but it will be more complicated than for someone who is 30 years old. We usually work with IT professionals who are under 45 but there can be exceptions as well.

Hi @TheAbiolaTijani The visa process in Nigeria can take up to one year, we recommend you first move to Europe on a digital nomad visa either in Portugal/Spain/Malta, or Croatia. This could be an option, if you earn enough remotely to get into the EU/German market easier. Once you make it to one of these countries, feel free to contact us anytime.

Hi, I have a part time job offer from Germany, and my spouse is also eligible to apply for the opportunity card. Does she need to do a blocked account for her, to show as proof of fund or she can apply with me without any blocked account for her?
Hi @kamonasishroy7899 We do not have the exact answer to this question yet. We think that she will need to prove that she has the funds to live in Germany. Since you cannot take dependants with you, your wife will have to have a separate procedure that will not be connected to your profile and your financial situation.
Thank you for sharing. I completed my software engineering program in Malaysia, and the university has a status indicating H +/-. When checking the eligibility of my qualifications, should I indicate "partially recognized in Germany" or "not yet recognized in Germany"?
Hi @user-bf9dk7oq7q Once you find your university, you need to go further and find your degree there. You need to check whether your degree is recognized, not university.

Hi @nahidaakter3152 You get points only for meeting given requirements. You cannot get any extra points for your other achievements such as driving. You will have to provide the embassy with proof that your degree is recognized in Germany: you need to have an Anabin certificate.

Really thanks for this helping video. However, I have a little question. Assuming that once the Opportunity card approved, what is the time frame given to the applicant to enter into Germany ? Is it 6 months or one year ? Any idea on this ?
Hi @rezazaman1714 Once you get your documents, you will see the date when your visa is valid. It is up to you when you enter Germany but one year will start on the day of the issue.
Online Opportunity card visa application not open in any of the consular service centers in India...any idea when online application will open and did anyone apply for it in India thus far

In general, you can switch your status in Germany if you meet the requirements for it. One Question, for English language proficiency can PTE result can be used. I have PTE test result of 72 with each score above 65. Will it work?

Hi @prajwaldhananjay7408 There is a need for you to book a place to stay before coming to Germany. Different websites provide you with rooms/apartments - usually, you will have to pay a deposit and a first-month rent. There are open positions throughout the whole country but you may focus on big cities such as Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, and Dusseldorf because they have more to offer.

German companies generally require at least 5 years of relevant project experience. All the best!

Hi @pakumitra9483 As the holder of an Opportunity Card, you are not automatically entitled to have your family join you. This is only possible if you change from the Opportunity Card to another residence title. If you apply for the Opportunity Card together with your spouse, children may come to Germany with you.

I have a degree in IT engineering and have done and since am interested in security I have done a cyber security certificate with google and I have B2 Goethe Germany language. Unfortunately i have seen on Germany embassy Nairobi, that the language certificate should not be older than 12 months from the time of application. Mine is 14 months old. Does it mean i have to get a higher certificate again 😢??

I am writing this to clarify my doubts regarding recognition.
My university has H+ status and my degree also has "Entspricht " status in the Anabin website. However, my university and degree are not listed together.
In such a case, is my degree considered to Equivalent to a German degree or recognised?
Or
Should the degree and the university be listed together in the same page although they have H+ and Entspricht status?
Hi @user-ke7ue3hh2v There is nothing to worry about. You need to have two documents in this case. The first one will show the recognition of your university and the second one will have data of your degree.
Must one first procure job with a company in Germany is when he/she is able to move to Germany?
Hi @paulouma5497 There are different ways to move to Germany. There is a way that provides you with a Job Seeker Visa, so you can start looking for a job while being in Germany. Another method is getting a job offer first and then going to Germany.
The answer to your question will be "No" because you can also move to Germany without a job and then find it here.

Hi @badrunnesa3797 You can take your kids with you only if your wife also applies for the Opportunity Card. In case you both have it, you can move together as a family. If you ask about your parents, it is not allowed.

Hi @KIGS0293 You need to open the website anabin.kmk.org/anabin.html After that, go to Institutionen and press Suchen. Put your university name here. In case it says H+, your degree is recognized.

@@becky4554 @KIGS0293 H+ means that the university is recognized. To check if your degree is recognized, click on “Hochschulabschlüsse” (which can be translated as “university degrees”). You can search by the name of the degree. Once you have found your degree, click on the small purple plus icon next to the title of your degree which will open a pop-up window with detailed information. Scroll down to the section “Bewertung” and look out for a column called “Äquivalenzklasse” (equivalence class), which is what we are looking for. There are three types of classifications currently used in the Anabin database(Gleichwertig, Entspricht, Bedingt vergleichbar). In most cases, a classification of "Gleichwertig” or "entspricht" combined with H+ status or H+/- status from the university is sufficient.
