i love that logo and headstock. i will say, it took a few months. now, i've played a half dozen, and i'm hooked. my first IRIS custom build is in the works!
I just got an Iris DF after waiting several months and couldn't be happier. The build quality is absolutely insane. Finish work is beautiful and the sound is unbelievable. Sustains for days. Very well balanced. After having a Gibson Hummingbird, Two Martins (D16RGT and 0017) and a couple of Larrivee OMs, this is my forever guitar.
No doubt, they are beautifully built guitars, but....................... They are no where in the league of their Gibson rivals. To all those builders who try to emulate Gibson or Fender in whatever way I say: Come on guys/girls, focus on building character en uniqueness in your instruments instead of building or tweaking instruments which have been right from the start off.
I'd put an Iris DF against any Gibson made in the last 50 years. It's no contest. The Iris is louder and more resonant and doesn't have QC issues like Gibson.
Have an Iris and a Gibson. Love them both. Picked an Iris DF over a Gibson J45. Picked a Gibson LG-2 over an Iris OG. Despite the size similarities they are very different guitars!

Impressive just had talk by email with Adam. The whole operation is impressive of course I'm bias used to live in Burlington as child.
Someone knows why certain models have a black headplate and some brown. Same models? I do love the Guitars! Gorgeous.

I guarantee if you played a Collings or a Huss and Dalton or a Santa Cruz against a Gibson you’d probably have a different opinion…
