a beautiful song by a beautiful man...this song changed my life...bropugh me off my invented high horse and made me see love for what it is...thank you Damian
My GOD I LOVE all the chords and harmonies of this song...he doesn't even have to sing, just give me the instrumental...i LOVE him and I LOVE this song no matter what version...
vickfalcon, I'm sure it's some kind of loop recorder you can get them in pretty basic stompboxes...Boss makes a few that are supposed to be good Good video. Thanks for the upload. I love the sound of his guitar.
This song and ''Fragile Bones(Feels Like Home)'' by Ali Murray are the most beautiful songs I've heard in a looong time. If you like Joseph Arthur, you should check out Ali Murray. Musically completely different but both of them make me cry...
the boss GT-10 besides from having almost any effect imaginable it also has this loop function... i highly reccomend it... it isn't even that expensive either
It's a twin pedal loop station.. Not likely by BOSS, but you can look at the BOSS RC-20, or RC-20XL. If you're looking for an even higher quality loop station, you can look at the RC-50 They're a bit pricey though, I would recommend the RC-2. Regular loop station, just compact pedal sized, really good stomp box, just with less recording time than the others, but still, it's enough.
I am using a Boss RC 2 and there is a delay when I want to start recording. The song starts with a Bass run and goes into Barre chords. For some reason, the Bass run isn't recording. Any suggestions? Thanks
@gayfarmerboy yeah thats my name..no relation to the devil..thats (damien) was actually named after 2 catholic saints..not that it helped out much lol.
dude Rage Against The Machine is actually a great, great band with extremely talented musicians; therefore, sending someone to listen to them would be awesome. You might not like it and that's cool but the musicianship is not subjective; you're either talented or not.
I was kinda picking on all his songs rather than this one. I just expect more from these guys because they have it and are being a little too abstract or obscuer than they need to be. If that`s making them happy, great. Not gonna make me rush to the store for their next CD if all I get is artsy fartsy noise, moaning and shreeking and redundant strumming. He does have a great voice. The band is all talented. I am a fan. I feel like the Dad telling his kid he or she is better than a C student.
LOL wanna know something funny? this guy wrote the song and he can play it in whatever key he wants. LOL...LIKE, OH MY GOD, LOL....LOL. DID I SAY LOL YET? LOL (LOL) LOL! but seriously that is lol youre right...lol
except i like his stuff better =D my only problem with lennon were his elementary lyrics. they just dont really catch the ear. melodies were good, words were eh
He does not have a good voice, but uses it wrong. Better writer. Does not construct songs well. Example, on Lonely Astronaut, you got 20 minutes of noise. This band could be soooo much better. Sing rather than shreek. Be more harmonic. I like Cocaine feet. It rocked but did not harmonise well. They need to craft that. I like this lineup and hope to hear better stuff.
I just love this song! Heard it in one of the scenes of The OC.
Been in my playlist for more than a decade already.
best version of the song i've heard yet, incredible.
I know I have been looking for that version forever

Of the 191,422 views of this video, I'm probably 500 of them. Love this performance.
I wish he could sing that at my daughters wedding! WHAT A GREAT SONG! LIKE MOST OF HIS OTHERS!
I first heard this song driving a big old truck through the snow-covered wilderness of Pennsylvania in early part of 2003
This does something. Doesn't it !
This is fab - it was in the beach scene in American Pie: The Wedding. Awesome - makes me tingle!
Been a fan since "In the sun". Can't believe he isn't more famous.
That performance really deserves a Grammy 😢
Yeah but good thing he didn't sell his soul to earn that Grammy, probably why he doesn't have more fame. But that's okay we love him ❤
absolutely perfect
I love his voice, this live version is waaaay better than the album version.
I agree!
My GOD I LOVE all the chords and harmonies of this song...he doesn't even have to sing, just give me the instrumental...i LOVE him and I LOVE this song no matter what version...
I love his guy... He is simply the best!
Excellent perfomance! Amazing artist!
I LOVE THIS SONG!
Awesome how perfectly he is playing the live samples! One take - it's in, next sample. One take again, it's in, next sample! :D

Good video. Thanks for the upload. I love the sound of his guitar.
yeah!
awesome awesome awesome!
That has got to be one of the cooliest guitars I have seen anyone use.
I have read somewhere that he did it all live yeah. It's very nicely done!
I wondered if this guy was influenced by Jeff Buckley, then I noticed the violinist, Joan Wasser. Jeff was romantically involved with her.
he's super great live aswell.
I really can't see how anyone could possibly dislike this song.. :|
Mesmerizing.
Love the loops on this. They're a decent substitute for the harmonies on the album version.
love those looop pedals :)
Awesome.
SAS: fuiste la miel y la luna que iluminó mi vida...yo no te olvido...
Label this properly so it can be appreciated by more people

love ya joey baby smooch
i agree it is a really nice guitar. I think this guy also has something special and different musically.
that guitar is so efin cool!... :)
this is like a remix
Is he seriously looping all of that stuff live? That's really cool.
I have a Digitech JAM MAN.. it works pretty well too. I have a video on youtube where i cover this version of honey and the moon. Check it out
what the hell happened to the original video of In the Sun with the angel wings & everything?

hip cat, JA
anyone know what pedal that is, or could suggest something similar...?
@mikebowden28 To me that's crazy! To each their own, though. This is one of my favorite versions of this song.Your opinion is as good as mine though.

what kind of pedal is it?

I couldn't disagree more... there are many beautiful songs that don't have any beat whatsoever
except i like his stuff better =D
my only problem with lennon were his elementary lyrics. they just dont really catch the ear. melodies were good, words were eh
he don't need drumms for make a great song... maybe it's a lesson for the drumers about what is music
I love how he said "i think that you came too soon" Haha so she obviously doesn't last long :L
Clearly he's trying to look like Lennon
there s no drum in this song there s a beat. you can t make a song without a beat and the drums is there for that
Devandra Banhart owns this fool.
Jeff Buckley was better than both, combined.
Yeah and there are certain drummers who can make a song great without singers/guitarists, so your point being.... ?
that isn't true... everything has a tempo and a rythm... not a beat...
