What a fun NYE story. My husband and I did this, mistakenly, one time when we were staying at a hotel and wandered into this party that wound up being a high school reunion for people my parents’ age. At first we were embarrassed because we are not the type of people who want to be the center of attention. But they were so much fun and it was a blast. We danced and had such a good time. Sometimes spontaneous mistakes like this are better than super planned events where you already know exactly what to expect. Glad y’all had fun!

biggest advice if anything makes you nervy to try is do baby steps. like for the gym. Just go in there and walk on the treadmill for 5 minutes then leave. Don't think you have to do everything all at once, you can do things gradually. so excited to see your 2024 progress, you seem so much happier!

my new years was actually incredible. spent time with my moms side of the family who i’m so so close with.. playing games and then we all had confetti poppers when it hit midnight and there was sooooo much confetti just raining down it was so special and then me and my aunt went outside and IT STARTED SNOWING and there were fireworks in the distance…like it was the most magical moment

As for a show recommendation: I recently watched ‚the empress‘ it‘s a german netflix production but it surely is available in english/ on Netflix US and it just won the international emmy for the best series and it was just amazing 🥰 lots of romance, family intrigue, drama & it‘s based on a true story (the one of Austrian empress Sisi).
Also saw some people recommending the OC, which also is an amazing show! (completely different, though 😅)

- rain or shine/ just between lovers (tearjerker, trauma, strangers to soulmates)
- twenty-five twenty-one (best friendships, strangers to friends to soulmates, fencing)
- it‘s okay to not be okay (mental health, family, mystery, hate/ love relationship)
