I was a subscriber to InQuest Magazine back in the day, and remember trying out the pack of this that came with an issue. Miyamoto Musashi vs. Beowulf, apparently. Wonder if it's still in an old card box somewhere 🤔 Edit: Found 'em in a Dissension fat pack box
This is a cool idea, and I wish it could have succeeded, but realistically it's hard to make a game like this that touches on real world history and politics without it getting ugly at some point. TCG players already fight over every little thing.
A lot of games are set up like that, look up Kohdok's video about Ramp in card games. Having multiple instances of attacks could be game breaking in the majority of games. Even in games like Magic: the Gathering where a few cards create an additional combat phase, they demand resources or prerequisites to allow for them.
all i'm saying is: you played it wrong you could attack multiple times (except with weapon cards) using your hero in your turn. Otherwise killing an opponement wouldn't be possible most of the times because of the time limit
@@Zanji1234 Well, if that's in actual rules, then this would be a much different game than what they had. It certainly raises some questions about how the game is really supposed to be played. William Wallace would basically have three attacks and three counters, providing that player with 6 opportunities to deal damage each round versus Joan of Ark's measley 3. It really doesn't feel like much of a balanced game with either ruleset in play. Either no one ever really wins or William Wallace turns into the blender from Hell.
@@BookmakerMakes well since both of the players could attack multiple times and you have the facedown cards that can change things i think that balances it out.

You've done Metazoo... now do Sorcery tcg next!

@@TheTestTable1 yeah, but no one gave it a chance where I live because "historical."
But history is so cool!
every card game should have accents now
Lol
you said you can do 3 Actions because your character says so... and still you can only attack once?
..... hmmst
