Mick Ronson on guitar was th e sound track of my youth but I n e ve r tried to learn myself .Now I'm 61 ,for some reason I ve bought a few guitars and taking one on one lessons and loving it .Picked up a Les Paul this week so no better time to get to grips with this one .Very nice guide cheers .
It's never too late. I started 5 years ago at 51. Learned solely off of y tube. Lefty learning righty. I now have 5 guitars and play as much as possible. I can't put them down. Best hobby ever. Congrats!
Anyone who covers anything from Ziggy Stardust is my friend. One of the greatest albums from 1971! Apple TV has a wonderful documentary series on 1971, they of course cover Bowie!
@@GaryBook oh ya i agree completely. Let’s dance was great too and even though it had stevie ray vaugh playing guitar on most of it i still like ziggy stardust better and diamond dogs had some great songs but it also had some strange music on it lol and ziggy is better still.
John interesting story on Ziggy Stardust. My cousin owns the oldest music store in Phoenix AZ, Her grandfather started it. His Name was Ziggy Zardust ! Its still above the door bell on the shop. She has sold Guitars to be Mark knoffler, Waylon, Marty Stuart and many more. If you played Phoenix its where you took Vintage equipment for repair. Ziggy's Gibson ( 41?) Hangs on the wall. No proof of it , but it's very likely David might of used his name for this song. Ziggy was a Accordion player at the station where they would broadcast music with live bands. I dunno but I love a good Conspiracy.
Like most of Jon’s guitars tweaked quality to start with guitars. He has a video of his ThinLine and it’s story very interesting video. Most of us don’t have guitar techs as friends.
1. John You are a Grest Teacher. But..... 2 Mick Rinson Wrote the Music for Ziggy. 3 the Ds Played on the 5th Fret, Not the Open D! I'm a Rono Fan! He was a Trained Musician. Stripped the paint off his Les Paul to make his Guitar Ring out. Mick also wrote and played the Cool Acoustic in Jack and Diane. Your Channels Great. But!!!!!! Come On Man!!!

That G chord that you use the way you play it on the opening lick;
doesn't Neal Schon of Journey do that on the great Stone In Love opening
Like your ways...think about a country tune "Except for Mondays" by Lorrie Morgan great acoustic part.
Wow
pinky on, pinky off. Hahahaha. Fantastic !
I want your tele! what is that?
