since arabic starts from right so i think it suit by using your left hand. but since we (whole world)write from the left , it'll be easier using your right hand. there'll be no dirt of ink on the paper for touching it 😁

I have a fountain calligraphy pen and I am a right handed. I am a bit confused in the letter 'jeem' as you start the upper part from the right side and its not comfortable with the right hand.
holding the pen with the left hand is fine but the rest of the world that are right hand can not learn from you, because holding the pen is confusing . And that is the beginning of learning . So I suggest if you can do it with right hand if you can please .
As a leftie, Arabic is one of the smoothest language to write for me
