I'd never heard of "palo santo marks." Seems to be a fancy word for soot or charcoal?

Palo santo is a kind of wood that smells amazing when it’s burned. It’s used as a ritual purification wood in some cultures. You could use any wood charcoal to make the marks, the palo santo just gets bonus points for smell!

What kind of pen do you recommend using for the rainbows?

Honestly you could use any pen. A pen with a smooth feel gets bonus points. In this video I’m using Pilot Bravo! pen. I like it because it’s smooth and has a substantial line. I also really like Pilot fine liner for this and paint markers.
