A Weekend in Beaufort NC - How to Escape the Winter Blues

In mid-February, with a weather forecast showing mild weather, we escaped the winter blues and spent a glorious weekend in Beaufort, NC.
Join us as we explore historic Beaufort, with its historic homes dated back to the 1700s, picturesque waterfront with sailing and fishing vessels, and a trip to Carrot Island to see the wild horses!
We ate breakfast at the Marmalade Cafe & Bakery and lunch at the Black Sheep restaurant for some dog-friendly outdoor dining along the waterfront.
While here we camped with our RV at Beaufort Waterway RV Park, which is located about 6 miles from Beaufort.

Lovely...Is not Beaufort special?! We used to sail from my grandparents home on Front Street to Carrot Island...Spend the day exploring the island.

I was born in the OTHER Beaufort ;) and I've never been to the NC one, but I'm planning to visit in Oct - looks lovely, but shhh don't tell the SC one!

Pleasent Video TY Sub'd also. I'm a Fishaholic so once in CC go to AB & never leave sleep-Eat -Fish-RepeaT as often as possible till time runs out. BuT If I ever leave AB will chk out Beaufort next ;)
