Again! Thank you! Your info is invaluable. Having my own problems and you seem to have all the answers! I'll start with the locking lug then move to the brass, lol i just primed mine. Have both the lee n hor. Sets of dies. Brass was bought conversion brass lc 556. I also got a lee collet neck sizer only die for once fired brass. Hope i can get the encore running. Your posion is my gain. So thank you for the videos. I'm not an amateur but the learning never should stop. Ur an excellent teacher UJ!
@@unclejim2330 great news on tc. What did you hear? Love my frame without the bill board logo on the side. Fixing to pull my decapping pin on horn. Dies, looks like the guy that made my brass did it wrong. Lol probably used lee dies. No issues with the lug so far. I'll use what I have after resizing and make my own next time, the chamber did seem tight n rough it scratches my brass
Nice old Cougar Emblem UJ! Very Interesting , and great Job Kyle! Sending UJ these Lee Tumbler 300blk Rounds. I avoided that mold like the plague after seeing and reading all the posts about its problems. Maybe I will try it someday, but I have a NOE Sub 300blk mold for now. I'm glad the chamber was ok, but I figured it would be. I bet you will love having a 300BLK now to go with all your other contender stuff. Congrats !
FYI- The Whisper was designed from a Necked Up .221 Fireball vs. Reformed .223 for the Blackout. Net result, Whisper has thinner neck walls. Good Video!
I've always used the Lee die . I've never had a problem with it . Except for forming 223 brass to 300 . I'd have to run the brass through the die twice if it didn't fit the case gauge.
If I ever get a second set of dies I'll consider small base, for the time being the Lee dies are working for me. I don't really see an AR or semi of any kind in my future right now though.

Thanks, I’m not a contender expert and make sure the barrel is for you Encor. BTW Thompson is coming back and they are starting with Encore stuff.

Lol, some say the .221 🔥 ball was the head shot in the 60’s 🙀
Friends don’t let friends use the Lee 300BLK sizing die. When the gun was locked up, did you try and give it that “hawk tuah”, spit on that thang?
😂😂😂
Ohhhh! 😂 🍆🌬
Tinman For the zinger! 😆😅🤣😂

Yeah I think Lee was thinking less stress on brass but small base is perfect for forming. 👍
To me the lee rounds the shoulder more. The RCBS and Hornady have a more square shoulder.
Probably right. 👍

Once the vote your leader out you might have a chance. 🕺🏻
Use small base dies 👍. I’ll have to remember that. I use the small base for my AR, but think I use the regular dies for the Ruger American.
Yeah I use both for the Ruger but it’s nice to have loads that do all. 👍
Yes, I know, they got it standardized. But credit where credit is due.
I had an SSK barrel before, 6-223. She was a one holer.
Cool , thanks buddy. 👍🕺🏻🇺🇸
