These singing AI are probably using some autotune program or something similar, and sometimes when you try to tune a note up to a particular pitch, the program just gets it wrong and the audio waveform goes haywire as a result. For example recently I was pitch-correcting vocals for a song and Melodyne read the original note as being an octave lower than it really was. So when I tried to set it to the correct note suddenly my singer’s voice went sky-high.
