I'll third that...should have returned last year at the latest, am a couple of years behind. Working logistics of moving 2 50kg four legged family members 😂 Great vid thx
@@Kaliyuga451 governments try hard to function without being noticed (gobernar desapercibido). Panamanians can’t swallow a nosy government. It makes them uncomfortable.
Just had a birthday, and now I'm 5 years from 62. Thought I was on track savings wise, but with the recent doubling of the price of EVERYTHING, I only recently started looking into retiring abroad. Panama is definitely on the short list.
I’m right there with you. The irrational spending of the US and subsequent inflation is killing my retirement. So I am fully vested in Panama’s expat pension plan. Five more years!
I’m married to a Panamanian woman and surrounded by her extended family. I moved to Panama solely for economic survival. I don’t feel any more or less free in Panama than in the United States.
The most important thing you said: being left alone. Panamanians don’t like nosy governments like in other areas of the world. Enjoy Panama, sir. You worked hard to deserve a good, peaceful life there. There’s some traffic at peak hours, though. Not everything is rosy.
For the first time in my life I want to move abroad. I never expected my husband would ever want to leave the US. Esp coming from a proud military family. His #1 choice is Panama. Heres hoping we can afford it before we're hungry + homeless. Living heres becoming unattainable. All 4 of our 30 somethings are struggling and just hoping they keep their kids from being homeless. Even with full time jobs. .. def time to move!
Is reverting back, in the process now. GESARA / NESARA in action now. New financial sys began 1 Jul with ISO20022, now a gold backed currency. New bills coming next fiscal sometime. Is much more as well, beat to be in a neutral country as this gentleman communicated.
Hey bud. Real happy for you. Looking to do the same. Any suggestions on banking, e.g., best/easiest way to transfer $ from US banks to Panama, etc., just for living expenses?
well, we have Internet and big flat screen TVs, but we don’t necessarily have hot water. A lot of the roads are pretty bad and it’s pretty rural. Few street signs and no mail delivery. no natural gas infrastructure or sewer in many places.
How was your Spanish when you arrived? Did you feel like a target then and do you still nowadays? Also being a crypto advocate and employed in the sector bring even more heat or possibly at some point in the future? I'm considering a winter home at the least, nica/tica wife and a 3 year old en tow
Panama has adopted similar to El Salvador, can learn there, easier to pickup if immersed in. There is also International Schools in English there as well if needed or home school. Can get by with Ingles bit make attempts, the locals will respect that.
You chose correctly, I'm coming back after 25 years. The military showed me this place, I will retire here in 5 months 👍
Same here, if it was not for the Navy I would never have chosen Panama.
