    Amen, sister! I started walking with a half mile walk in my 40s. Worked up to the Honolulu Marathon in my 50s and about 50 or 60 5Ks. Now in my 60s, I walk about 3 to 3.5 daily. I do it for strong bones, and it just doggone feels great! LOL! For those just starting out, most of it is mental and personal choices for me. I like being under goal. I like choosing to be healthy. I like feeling wonderful most every day. You all can slay it! I KNOW that you can! We are a community on Joan's channel that support each other in whatever journey we choose! Thanks, Joan for your channel and you!

    Fantastic advise!!! I gained 5 pounds in December......gosh it was a rough month staying on plan! BUT, I got this! I know what I need to do, I just need to jump back in with both feet and get it done! My highest weight was 267, I am sitting here at 157 so I've come too far to keep going in the wrong direction!!!! Love your honesty, love how you say you give "tough love" because that is what I need, that is the type of person I am!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!

    I started doing food tracking with the free ap, Cronometer. I eat what I like for brunch, or b'fast n lunch. Then I can see easily what nutritional goals I haven't met for the day. For dinner tonight, I had 4cups of broccoli and a turkey burger with cheese and salsa.

      Four cups of broccoli is a LOT! I love vegetables, but I’m fairly certain that - even on my best days - this would be virtually impossible for me. Good for you!

    • @staceykersting705
      @staceykersting705 2 года назад

      @@denagustafson6070 Easy for me to munch on in front of the TV. I love that there's chopped/shredded cabbage now, too. I add some romaine or other tender greens if I have them. No small meals for me. TG for veggies. Celery makes a great cracker sub.

    I can't find what I entered for my goal weight and not so sure if reasonable. Also, what if my goal weight is so low I never reach it for lifetime member status. I think I entered cw 180 gw 140 or 145

    • @RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead
      @RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead  2 года назад

      If you go into your app to settings, then Weight Settings, then you will see goal weight. You can adjust there. WW gave me my goal weight, according to their charts. To obtain Lifetime, you have to lose at least your last 5 pounds as a meeting member.

    Hi! I’m a new subscriber and I think I’m watching this one about three months late. I am in a similar boat I became lifetime in January 2019 I have went up and down but never over my goal so I have not had to pay. But I am really, really getting tired of tracking I track every day about 365 days a year I’m just wondering if I’m going to have to do this forever? Or if it’s just become an addiction so question do you track every day to maintain or do you start tracking when you get a few pounds? Thank you so much!

    • @RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead
      @RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I track pretty much every single day! Do I love it - nope, but I need to see it or I conveniently "forget" about eating someting.
