And the second war for independence. Unfortunately the freedom fighters lost that one... if you dont believe me, just look at you pay stubb and see how much taxes they take out. These hillbilly have done good. When i was a kid we played around the jail, our uncle was the sheriff, My mom was a Hatmaker , they are buried near Jacksboro, I will never move back there. A lot of them are on drugs
I remember when Jacksboro was a booming little town before they built the four-lane you had to go through Jacksboro to get to Knoxville.Across from the courthouse, there was a furniture store, a café, gas station. Fox, Motel and restaurant,Beauty shop and Jacksboro high school and Elementary/ Jr. High. I’m sure there was more businesses. That’s just the ones I can remember.
