"I speak English" I thought I recognized that lanquage! Another great review vid. Keep up the good work. If you keep showing these Ceados, I will convince myself that my faithful old Rocky just doesn't cut it anymore!
Hi Marc. I recently purchased a Ceado E37S from you and I hope you can help me with some advice. After watching this video I started doing my own experiments on the grinder. At 3.3 seconds I am grinding 9.2 - 9.9g of coffee. I have used two different coffees, one fresh roasted and another a couple of weeks old. I am getting 1/2 of the output that you are. I like the grind quality - it is light and fluffy with no clumps and falls in the portafilter perfexctly. In addition, moving the lever to change grind size is extremely difficult. It is hard to make a small adjustment to the grind size in either direction because it is so difficult to move. Further trying to reduce grind size is almost impossible todo smoothly and have the grinder running at the same time as it takes two hands to hold the grinder down, adjust the lever and run the grinder to clear old grind when reducing. I have ordered the Quick Set upgrade, but it has been back ordered again to 6/28. Without it, this grinder is just not really usable. I feel like I should have gone to an Atom 75 or something similar. I hope you have some advice that can help. Thanks in advance, Marc.
I purchased an E37S too in February from WLL and I have the same compliants. The grinder does a nice job, but different beans based on the roast requires changes to the grind. It’s close to impossible. Also, the grind and dispense speed is not as advertised.
Hi Trip, I wonder if your static control flap is out of whack. It's a piece of aluminum at the end of the chute out of the grinding chamber. Might try bending it slightly to allow a more open path out of the grinding chamber. Under 3g/sec is slow unless you are grinding finer than normal for espresso. I have not had issues with levers becoming difficult to move. If you were grinding extra fine and/or had some back up in the chamber some coffee and/or oils may have worked up into the adjustment. It's well sealed but I guess it could happen. If that's the case it would need to be cleaned up. Marc
Trip Pollard You’re welcome. You will need to remove the top burr plat assembly. The 3 screws and the whole thing comes off. After that, the flap is held on by a single screw above the chute. You should be able to bend the flap out a bit without removing that screw if you can get a tool down towards the bottom of the flap. Could also go at it with a tool from within the grinding chamber to push out a bit and then use a bent paper clip or similar to hook underneath and pull out. Idea is to open the flap for less restriction of grinds exiting the chamber but not too far so they fly out uncontrolled. Hope that helps. Let me know how it goes. I’m out of office now till next week but could take you through a deeper cleaning of size adjustment mechanism if needed when back. Marc
Thanks great video. Though I wish the versatility range of these machines was talked about more. This the E37s go fine enough for Turkish and course enough for french press?
Hi Gavin, You are welcome and thank you for the comment and question. The E37S can go to Turkish fine and coarse enough for press. I should mention it is more of an espresso specialist. One limitation of the Quick Set Gear is the amount of turns required to make major changes in grind size. A better option if one is changing grind size a lot for different brew methods is the Ceado E37SD. It's a single dosing grinder with titanium burrs and essentially zero retention. The QSG on that grinder has a release which disengages the worm gear allowing for rapid large adjustments in grind size. Check it out here: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ceado-e37sd-single-dose-coffee-grinder Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Thanks. The 37D looks cool cut we're opening a coffee shop so that would not work for our main grinder. It will be set for mostly espresso but we'll nee dto do some put overs, cold brew etc. Not long to you have to turn that to go from one end to the other. I really wish they had installed the release clasp for the setting like on the D model on machine we need for speed.
Hi Marc, may I kindly ask whether the E37S will b able to do coarser grinds for pour over? If, then, how labour intensive is it to work the worm gear from fine to coarse? i am seriously considering acquiring a unit but I need to affirm it versatility in terms of grind variation capability. Thank you so much for your very informative videos, and in advance for your advice. (apologies if the question has been posed already)...
Hi there! While it can grind for pour over the E37S is an espresso specialist and my favorite espresso grinder. It's rather labor intensive to adjust from espresso grind out to a size appropriate for PO. I just tried and it's about 100 half turns of the knob to get there. That took at least 45 seconds and I'm not looking forward to turning it back. Don't know what your budget is or if you're interested in single dosing but the E37SD has a quick release adjustment which makes it super-easy to make large grind size changes: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ceado-e37sd-single-dose-coffee-grinder Hope that helps! Marc
Marc, me again, sorry if this causes a pain in another area in addition to your wrist. Do you know whether it is possible to retrofit the E37SD quick set system onto the E37S to transform the E37S into a E37SD but with the hopper still but the ability to make larger adjustments ala the E37SD's quick set setup? Hope my question makes sense and that it is possible. Whole latte thanks.
I purchased an E37S too in February from WLL and I have the same compliants. The grinder does a nice job, but different beans based on the roast requires changes to the grind. It’s close to impossible. Also, the grind and dispense speed is not as advertised.
Hi Randy, As mentioned in the video actual grinding speed can vary a bit. It will change with grind size - coarser is faster, finer is slower. Also as mentioned in the video grind size is not set and forget. It most definitely will need adjustment when beans type, roast, etc changes - even with the same beans as they age. Marc
Whole Latte Love thanks Marc for the reply. I get all that, but with the difficulty of making finite changes to the grind, I wish I had waited on my purchase to get the latest model with the worm gear versus spending $300.
The specification sticker shown at 0:34 seconds shows that the grinder is able to operate at both 50 and 60 hz - can you confirm that the models that you sell and ship would be compatible with both?
Hi c, Thanks for the question. The models we have are wired specifically for 60hz single phase US standard power supply. Cannot confirm it will operate properly at 50hz. Marc
What is a good grind setting for espresso..? When we set it at 1.5 (pulls good shots) however grinder seems to not grind after pulling a few shots. We have to go back to a coarse setting and than go back down to good grind and it locks again…? What’s going on? What are we doing wrong…?
Hi ov, Can't really give you a precise grind setting that's good. Best grind setting depends on variables like amount of coffee used, coffee type, age, etc. You need to set your grind size based on your variables. When adjusting grind size finer the grinder should be running - burrs spinning. If it's not, partially ground beans will be crushed between the burrs causing them to jam resulting in a no start condition. When you say it seems to grind, that leads me to believe the motor is running but it's not dispensing ground coffee? If that's the case it might be the static control flap needs adjustment. It's a small rectangular piece of thin and flexible aluminum located at the end of the path out of the grinding chamber just before the chute which delivers coffee to your portafilter. You should be able to reach a finger up into the chute, catch the edge of the flap with a fingernail and bend the bottom outwards so ground coffee travels more freely out of the grinding chamber. I also suggest opening up the grinder and cleaning the grinding chamber and path out of the chamber of any coffee residue. Unplug the grinder and remove the 3 large Phillips head screws securing the grind adjustment assembly to access the grinding chamber for cleaning. If you purchased the grinder from us and continue to have issue please contact our tech support for assistance. Hope that helps! Marc
Hi D W, Congrats on your E37S! Yes, you do need to push the metal button to start the grinder. In the menu you can set how you want it to operate with these options: Pulse On: pressing the metal button will dispense the dose selected on the screen. You must keep the button pressed with portafilter to deliver the dose and grinder will stop after it grinds for the set time. You can "bump" the dose by pressing the button briefly to get a little more coffee in your portafilter. Pulse Off: Pressing the button will deliver the entire dose selected on the screen. You do not have to hold the button in. Dose with Start: Tap the button quickly with your PF 1x to get the programmed single dose, 2x for the double and 3x for the extra shot. Marc
My e37s serial is BIF, so as you are saying is not accept the upgrade, but i cant find the difference with yours. Do you know why they are not accept it? Nice job anyway....Thanks
Marc, @ 5:30 in this video you mention that the disc has magnets allowing you to move the disc so you can essentially set your zero mark. My E37S that arrived yesterday came with a sticker that once adhered can no longer be moved. Is this a change since this video was made or is mine missing the magnetic part? The WLL videos are indispensable, thanks for continuing to present such useful content in a fun informative way.
Hi Donna, Thanks so much for your kind comments on our content - it's appreciated a whole latte! Yes, the design has changed since this video was made so recently shipped models no longer have the rotating magnetic scale. Marc
Hi b, Thanks for the question. By flapper I'm guessing you mean a static control system which is a small, thin bendable piece of aluminum? This grinder does have one and it's located at the end of the output path from the grinding chamber just before coffee fall down the chute. You can reach your finger up the delivery chute and feel it. It does not require replacement unless it was severely damaged. Otherwise it's easily bent back into shape. Get better access to the flap by removing the 3 screws holding in the top burr plate and adjustment mechanism. May need to remove the grinder's display assembly as well. The flap can be adjusted manually by giving it a little bend to allow for freer coffee flow. If bent out too much you may get some static and/or spraying of coffee from the chute. Marc
Another quick question, how do I remove that metal clamp to lock in the portafilter? That sliding metal above the button to start the coffee ... I use a collar on top of my poratafilter and it does not fit and can only trigger the grind with my finger, which is surprisingly messy :)
Hi Marc. Debating between the Ceado E37s or the Eureka atom 75. Will be making about 4-6 coffees a day. Grind retention would be one important deciding factor. I see you have a previous video comparing the older atom to the Ceado. Any thoughts on how the Atom 75 compares ?
Hi GH, Thanks for the question. I'm assuming you are referring to the older style SCC system with screwdriver adjustment. If so, yes. That was revised 3-4 years ago. Marc
Hi DW, Thanks for the question. The cutting edges of titanium stay sharp 2-3x longer than plain steel burrs. The result is a more consistent grind over a longer time period, slight increase in grinding speed and greatly reduced chance of corrosion.
Hi charles, You can single dose with the E37S. The static and clumping control flap may hold back some coffee from your last grind cycle. Some want single doses to be as pure as possible.
Hi Marc, great video! I am hoping you can help me to resolve a dial in issue. I have the grind setting at 0. My extraction time is still realtively quick. 18g in 36g out in less than 18 secs. I have taken it apart and clean the burr. That doesn't seem to work. Do you have any suggestions?
I'm still debating which grinder to get to go with the ECM Classika I'll be getting. I'm seriously considering the E37S (with the quick-set gear), but before I pull the trigger on such an expensive grinder, I need to know if it has parts that would be prone to rust (from salt air) from living across the street from the beach. My Rancilio Rocky rusted to the point that it no longer works (the grind adjustment no longer even turns). And I don't want to dish out $1700 for a grinder that is going to rust from salt air. Instead, I'd just go with the E5P.
Hello Marc, I’m interested in upgrading my E37 that I bought from you, and SN starts with “H”. . How do I find out more about that? Thanks as always for all your entertaining and informative videos. - Ken
Hi Ken, You are welcome for the videos. Thanks for watching and for your patronage! Here's a link to the Quick Set upgrade part which is compatible with your E37S with SN starting with "H": www.wholelattelove.com/products/ceado-quick-set-gear-upgrade-kit Marc
Just expanding my query, I have Ceado E37S and on pulse on - it produces 12 grams in 3.5 seconds on double dose and yours 18 grams in 3.3 seconds on double dose. How can I increase ground size? Many thanks. - Sunil
Hi Sunil, My apologies for a delayed response - I've been offline for a few days. Sounds like you are grinding finer than I am. As you decrease grind size you will get fewer grams per second. Can also be differences in grinding rate based on bean type. Timing on the E37S is adjustable for higher weight per cycle adjust grind time longer. Hope that helps! Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage HI Marc, you are spot on, after trial and testing I figured! it is a great grinder. its a pleasure watching and learning from your show. All the best - Sunil
Hi David, "Quick Set Gear" is Ceado's name not mine! "Quick Set" has been part of their marketing for many years - well before they put worm gears on various E37_ models. They used to use "Quick Set Revolution". Also they kinda dislike me referencing "Worm Gear". Marc
How do we get that gold colored quick set gear? The Ceado E37S comes with a silver one stock right? I’d like a E37S with titanium coated burrs and that gold quickset gear. Are you able to order the E37S with those options?
Hi b, Hard to wrong with the E37S - it's an awesome grinder. Those huge burrs make a difference. Unless there's been a running change as far as I'm aware the worm gear is still gold in color. I have a few E37S grinders in the building and all have the gold gear. The shaft out to the adjustment knob is silver in color. Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Ok, great! And I presume if we want any fancy SSP burrs like in the E37T we could order those as well as the different sized hoppers? Tall vs short hopper/bean holding “funnel” thingy! :D
@@bertraminc9412 Hi, Yes you can order SSP Burrs here: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ssp-red-speed-coated-83mm-grinding-burrs The grinder comes with the short bean hopper. Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Ok, I'm all set on a E37S with SSP burrs. Now on to the Profitec Pro 700 or the ECM! Just gotta decide and I'll be ready to order in March.
@@Wholelattelovepage Marc, customer service there at your business says that all the Ceado E37S grinders are coming with silver “worm gears”/quickset spirals. Can you find out which units have that gold spiral on the quickset assemblies please? I’m writing Ceado an email as well. Thank you!
Hi Marc. Thanks for all of the great videos. They are very educational and I find your assessments very balanced and free of bias. I have read about how wetting the beans can lead to rusting of burrs -it was offered as a reason for the Ceado single dosing grinder having titanium burrs. How much of a concern is this in your experience. Keep up the fantastic work.
Hi SKM, Thanks for the kind comment and question. There's a very low risk burr rust. When coffee is ground it removes the relatively small amount of moisture added and coffee does have some oils so that coats the burrs as well. That said, there is zero chance of rust with the titanium treatments. This might be beneficial in extra humid environments. Marc
Hi Marc, I purchased the Ceado E37s from you a year ago and looking at the new quick set gear and upgrade shown here and wondering if it would be adaptable as a kit or mod for mine? In addition to dialing in more precise shot measurements this would be a great solution making the task easier for settings. Thanks.
Hi steinbornb, Thanks for the question. So long as your E37S Has a serial number starting with F, G or H You can upgrade to the Quick Set Gear. More info and the kit available here: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ceado-quick-set-gear-upgrade-kit Marc
Hi Marc. Question about the E37s. The grind unit scale (circular disc under hopper with 1 to 4 grind range) spins rather freely. Makes me wonder if i could loose my setting if I move it inadvertanly. Do all E37s do this? If so, is it used to re-calibrate at times...? Or perhaps it’s a design flaw...? Thanks.
Hi David, Thanks for the question. The circular disc is designed to rotate to allow a user to set reference where they would like. For instance dial in an espresso grind and rotate the scale to line up at "1". It does move rather freely so need to be careful not to inadvertently rotate. Marc
Hi Marc. I think the answer is no but is ceado going to make the quick adjust gear used on the e37sd available as an upgrade for the e37s? I just picked up an e37s and would be nice at some point in the future to have that option.
Btw picked it up from you guys :) now looking at upgrading my espresso machine. Current breville barista express, but wanted to first invest in a quality grinder.
Hi Mike, Thanks for your patronage! That's one heck of an upgrade coming from a Barista Express! Grinding doesn't get much better than the E37S. As far as I know there is no plans to offer the SD style quick set with the release for the E37S. Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage haha yes quite an upgrade to the barista express. I’m going all in now on espresso. Thanks for the quick reply Marc. Was most interested in the quick set gear unlock feature not so much in the idea of single dosing. Either way very excited for the e37s.
Hi, do you have complaints about the ceado E37S doing channelling? Looks like the machine grinds too fast lol. The only ways I found to avoid the problem is either to rotate the portafilter 360 degrees while it's getting filled up, or I need to grind the coffee in a separate bucket and put it back in my portafilter with a spoon. Thanks
Hi Patrice, I have not had complaints about channeling. We use the E37s multiple times daily here in the studio. Have been for a long time. Never found it to be more prone to channeling than other grinders. Actually quite the opposite as it provides excellent centered distribution of grinds in the filter basket compared to many other grinders. It is a fast grinder! Grind time for my 18g doubles usually around 3.6 seconds. To better control distribution into filter basket if that's an issue you might try adjusting the static control flap which can change the trajectory of coffee spilling out of the chute. It's a little metal flap on the output of the grinding chamber. Can sometimes easily adjust by sticking finger up the grinding chute and pulling bottom of flap with fingernail or pushing it back. If can't get it that way power off the grinder and remove the 3 Phillips head screws holding on the top burr plate adjustment. You'll see the flap on the output of the grinding chamber. You can try adjusting the position to change coffee trajectory. If you pull too far for less restriction you may get some static and/or flying grinds. If properly adjusted you'll get a nice even waterfall of coffee out of the chute into your filter basket. Be aware you may need to remove 2 more screws which hold the touch screen display in place for better access to the flap. As I'm sure you are aware there are other reasons for channeling beyond how the coffee falls into a filter basket. Many of those can be eliminated through technique modification or use of tools like a distributor or leveler. Hope that helps! Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage Hey, Guess What, you nailed it again. I dropped the dose weight from 22 to 18 grams, dropped the grind setting. No more channelling. Less coffee used, and perfect extraction now. You guys rock at WLL!
After watching tons of your videos, I am considering buying the Profitech pro 700 with a Ceado E37S. Do you think is a good combi? How is the durability of the Ceado E37S? I thought the steel burrs are not so durable as the ceramic or titanium covered ones and I was pretty disappointed to find out that an almost 2000$ grinder has common steel burr. Do you think it would be wise to buy it and replace the burrs with titanium ones?
Hi l, Thanks for the question. The Pro 700 and E37S is a fantastic combo and a fairly common choice for those who want the best. The main advantage of titanium coated burrs is longevity. Steel burrs are good for about 600-700 Kg of grinding. That means they're good for grinding >33,000 18g double shots. Grind 5 doubles a day and the burrs are good for >6,000 days/18 years! Titanium treated burrs have about double the life. In general you will not find many high-end grinders using ceramic burrs. Ceramic burrs in theory do retain an edge better. But, they are more brittle so susceptible to chips and breaking from foreign objects like small stones mixed in with beans. Those are very rare but it does happen. Replacing the stock burrs is a personal choice. If you choose to do so have a look at SSP Red Speed burrs. They are made of tool steel and coated for extend life with Red Speed Titanium Aluminum Carbon Nitride (TiAICN). Also grind faster and provide a subjectively better grind quality: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ssp-red-speed-coated-83mm-grinding-burrs Marc
Hi, is it normal that I have to set the adjustment to 0.2 for an espresso? Last week I tried a new coffee, I has had to put the setting a bit below 0. Kind of weird. Ceado E37S
Hi Patrice, The number scale on the grind setting can be moved to any number. It's held in place by a magnet so can be rotated. With that, the numbers are just a reference and don't represent a defined grind size if that makes sense. If desired you can calibrate those numbers so that the zero will represent the finest possible grind setting. Here's how: With no beans in the grinder turn on the motor. Continue adjusting the grind finer until you just hear the burrs touch. Then back off very slightly to a coarser setting until sound of burrs touching stops. Then slide the numbered scale so zero is at the pointer. Don't worry about the burrs touching briefly. The outer non-cutting edges of the burrs touch first so you are not hurting anything. Marc
@@Wholelattelovepage wow thanks for your answer. I was not able to move the metal piece. I did not want to break anything. I lifted it with a knife and I did like you said. Now the grind setting is at 1.5 and I do not feel anymore like I paid that much for a grinder that cannot grind fine espresso haha. U made my day!
What material is the big round adjustment plate with numbers that interacts with the quick set gear? Is it metal or plastic? Is the grinder good for robusta or dark roast beans?
Hey Abdulrhman, Marc here from Whole Latte Love... Thanks for the question. The E37S is IMO one of the finest grinders available. Rock solid performance and the larger 83mm burrs produce a superior grind. Quick Set gear makes incredibly precise grind size adjustment. A wonderful upgrade!
Hi Danilo, Although the stock E37S burrs are not specifically designed for use with RDT It's fairly unlikely doing so would cause corrosion. Just don't go overboard with the water. For complete confidence you might consider SSP Red Speed Burr upgrade. No problem with moisture on these: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ssp-red-speed-coated-83mm-grinding-burrs Marc
Hi Greg, Thanks for the question. I have not used that Compak grinder so can't give an honest opinion. Can say I really like how easy it is to get inside the E37J - just 3 screws and no loss of grind size adjustment. Also, burrs are slightly larger on the Ceado at 64mm vs. 58mm in the Compak. Marc
Hi Lou, Thanks for the question. Well, overkill depends on perspective. IMO the E37S will be running for many years. It will outlast the Breville and the next one, and next, next... Grind quality from the Ceado is superb - it does not get much better. So you'll always know the grind is excellent. E37S is my go to grinder. Marc
Hi Mark, I know this is not related but I tried to buy Coffee from the website (to U.S. territory Puerto Rico) to taste other coffee flavors and the shipping was higher than the coffee itself. What can we do. Thanks in advance.
Ruben Chavez Hi Ruben, 🤔 I’m not involved in the fulfillment end of things but will check with our CS dept tomorrow on typical shipping costs to US outside continental destinations. Marc
Hi Sabin, Thanks for the question. It does well. Short grind cycles with the large 83mm burrs. So less heat with short cycles and large burrs to dissipate. We had a local roaster/cafe owner in last week who uses 3 Ceado E37s Quick Set grinders in his shop. Here he is in video demoing his dial in process on the E37S and discussing why he choose the grinder for his shop: ruclips.net/video/qkGkGNTM6Lk/видео.html Marc

I'm thinking of getting the E37s for my home. Can someone talk about heat generation, rpm and disk size? Does any of it matter if this is for home use?
Hi g, Thanks for the question. Heat generation: If you mean does it put heat out then no it does not. Could only create heat when grinding and I've never felt warmth from the grinder. If you mean heating up the grind then it's minimal and would be less then grinders with smaller burrs. RPM = 14000 Burr size: E37S has 2 x 83mm burrs Home use: Not sure what you're after exactly with the question but the E37S is equally at home in commercial environments or for high-end home use You can find more details including 92 user reviews, technical specs, etc. here: www.wholelattelove.com/collections/espresso-grinders/products/ceado-e37-s-electronic-coffee-grinder-in-black#product-specs Hope that helps! @@Wholelattelovepage Wow! thanks for the quick reply. I see a lot of chatter on the web about the problem of heating the grinds. Is this more of a problem (if a problem at all) in a commercial setting where heat might build up in the burrs due to rapid repeated uses?

Marc
Thanks, Marc. Do you access this flap from the grinding chamber or through the chute?

Thank you, Marc. I’ll give it a try.
Check it out here: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ceado-e37sd-single-dose-coffee-grinder

I really wish they had installed the release clasp for the setting like on the D model on machine we need for speed.
there is an attachment from Ceado that holds your portafilter. My E37 T has this option. The grinder is flawless. Grind - tamp. then brew.
The Ceado E37S has a much better taste than the Mazzer mini. I am happy with my new tool.
Hi Yoram, Thanks for sharing your your opinion. Happy to hear you like your new E37S!
Marc
Don't know what your budget is or if you're interested in single dosing but the E37SD has a quick release adjustment which makes it super-easy to make large grind size changes: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ceado-e37sd-single-dose-coffee-grinder
Hope that helps!

On the money!! Thank you indeed Marc, it helps a whole latte. Sorry for the pain in your wrist there😜.
@@theankotze638 Unfortunately the SD's assembly is not available for a standard E37S.
I know the video is so old :) , but i have this question about the quick set gear, why here its all in metal while in store it has plastique part ?
Hi f, The material was changed after the making of the video.
Marc
should work fine but 20% slower

I'm confused. Is the ring on the newer models still a magnet? I can't move mine driving me nuts
Just got my e37. Do you have to push in the metal button to trigger it or can you use the buttons on top on LCD screen
Hi D W, Congrats on your E37S! Yes, you do need to push the metal button to start the grinder. In the menu you can set how you want it to operate with these options:
Pulse On: pressing the metal button will dispense the dose selected on the screen.

My e37s serial is BIF, so as you are saying is not accept the upgrade, but i cant find the difference with yours. Do you know why they are not accept it? Nice job anyway....Thanks
Hi tk, Thanks for the comment and question. Upgrade just doesn't fit. OIne main reason is a difference in the static control on the grinder output.
Is there an upgrade to switch to a Single Dose grinder? If not, will there be? I have the titanium burrs
Hi D W, Thanks for the question. In previous inquiries with Ceado they have indicated no plans to offer an upgrade kit to take an E37S to E37SD.

@@Wholelattelovepage I just got mine and the best setting is about two gear teeth below zero. Anything I can do, it’s very annoying.
Does this grinder have a flapper that requires periodic replacement and where is it/how easy to replace it?
I am in a similar situation. what did u decide? And do u still like your decision ?
Can you get a smaller hopper for smaller height?
Hi Carol, That's the smallest available hopper for the grinder.
Marc
Was the chute issue fixed on these and late models of the prior design?
Hi GH, Thanks for the question. I'm assuming you are referring to the older style SCC system with screwdriver adjustment. If so, yes. That was revised 3-4 years ago.
Marc
What are your thoughts on upgrading to the titanium burrs? What do you think? Would it be beneficial to upgrade?
Hi DW, Thanks for the question. The cutting edges of titanium stay sharp 2-3x longer than plain steel burrs. The result is a more consistent grind over a longer time period, slight increase in grinding speed and greatly reduced chance of corrosion.
Why is it not good to single dose with the E37s? As long as you weigh it before putting it in would seem no problem.
Hi charles, You can single dose with the E37S. The static and clumping control flap may hold back some coffee from your last grind cycle. Some want single doses to be as pure as possible.
@@Wholelattelovepage thank you for the reply.
Hi LRG, The housing and frame of the E37S are made of aluminum which is not prone to corrosion like steel components.

Hi Marc, On Ceado E37S can you increase or decrease grind coffee weight (Grams) on single double or extra shot? Cheers
Sunil

Hi Mark - quick set? Does the worm gear swing away like the SD? If not, I’m not sure I’d call it a quick set....

Also grind faster and provide a subjectively better grind quality: www.wholelattelove.com/products/ssp-red-speed-coated-83mm-grinding-burrs

Marc

Hi g, Thanks for the question.
Heat generation: If you mean does it put heat out then no it does not. Could only create heat when grinding and I've never felt warmth from the grinder. If you mean heating up the grind then it's minimal and would be less then grinders with smaller burrs.

I'm upset at the language options! The language of the cafezinho... the language of the country that produces by far - most of the worlds coffee... is not an option. How is Brazilian-Portuguese not an option when your industry depends so much on Brazil. I would leave it set to English... I just wanted Portuguese to be an option.
Hey Wiki, RUclips translation language option are outside of my control.
I dig it, but this thing is more expensive than my used car...
Hi LI, Good equipment is worth the $$! Guessing you'll purchase a few cars over the years. This grinder can go a lifetime.
