I dont get it lol, im 37 and wine tastes like crap.🤔, how do adults drink that stuff? Beer tastes like sh*t too. Maybe you have to develop the taste for it?, well i never did i guess, didnt even drink when i was younger, didnt even start tho cuz it tasted terrible.
Very cool place , the property is amazing, l am surprised that no one tried to develope it . Thanks for braving the cobwebs.
@@PopCultureFan_ definitely an acquired taste, I never liked wine until I made an effort to learn how to drink it. There are so many different kinds of wine, I learned that I like crisp, fresh white wines that aren’t overly sweet. Still don’t like heavier red wines. It’s also a completely different thing when you drink it as part of a meal, it can really complement the taste of the food if you get the right wine. Beer I hate though.
@@PopCultureFan_ I agree, except to me it tastes like vinegar. The only one worth drinking is Asti Spumante. Very sweet.
Fun fact of the day: Those “webs” are actually called soot tags or soot webs! Carbon and tar (aka soot) are released in a fire and can sometimes bond together to form these chains or threads as the particles move to cooler areas away from the source of ignition. They look like spiderwebs and most people assume it’s webs covered in soot, but they are completely fire-made!
PS: spectacular video (as always) and I’ve been a huge fan of this channel for years! Keep up the awesome work guys!
I just commented something like this! It took like 10 minutes on google trying to figure it out lol
Hey, thanks! I just learned something 🤗
Ah yes like the little black wisps that go all floaty in the air sometimes when you light a blunt lol. Always wondered what that was it always looked kinda like soot when I would catch one.
No those are old webs covered in dust. You are overthinking it.
@@xcalibertrekker6693 No, he's right.
This prison is almost identical in size, shape, form, and layout as the waterfront Kingston Penitentiary here in Ontario - It was built in the early 1830s, updated in the 1850s and then used continuously as a maximum security until 2013. It's been available for TV/movie filming and guided tours since then - it's the filming location for the TV show The Mayor Of Kingstown.
Very cool. Mayor of Kingstown is a wild show too.
Wow
I swear, every couple of weeks me and my partner collectively go “I feel like it’s been awhile since the proper people posted” and without fail they post within a day, we’re so in sync with the posting schedule lmao
Awesome video thanks
Wow a private bathroom with a door in the room? Amazing.
I never been 2 Spain Bryan and Michael have fun and don't get caught and love your videos and be careful. And have a good 1
Amazing place . How long did you say it was closed
Wine in my cellar ima proper boy
Never seen some break INTO a Prison before lol
On the calendar at 8:50 it says July 4th was on a Thursday which gives us a couple of years to choose from. It also has February 29th on there so it should be from a leap year, meaning it's from either 1968 or 1974. With that being said, 1996 also had July 4th on a Thursday and the prison closed in '97 so my money is on 1996.
And the year seems to end in 6 so I guess you are right.
1996 was my conclusion as well. It fits the timeline and matches up with the ISO-8601 formatted calendar here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leap_year_starting_on_Monday#:~:text=The%20most%20recent%20year%20of,in%20the%20obsolete%20Julian%20calendar
The decay, black cobwebs and green moss, combined with the lack of vandalism makes this one of the most interesting abandoned prisons yet! Awesome!
Because it’s not in America lol
Just opened the comments and this is how i know it’s gonna be a good vid :)
@@DinoNuggets7 check their other videos of nonamerican explorations. You'll see that it doesn't matter where you go, vandalism will persist
@@jwalster9412 the lack of vandalism won't last. Why? Because these goons, and several other prominent exploring pages, OUT them to the world and invite idiots, who then vandalize them. Just happened with a palace they posted about. Was pristine, but they told the world how and where to find it. Then, another goon who also outs places goes on his page, and guess what? It's been tagged now. Been a fan of exploring abandoned places for a long time. Ha e seen plenty of them myself. But these days, with these pages on YT with tons of subscribers, there is a total lack of respect for them. "Hey everyone! Here is EXACTLY where this amazing spot is! Have at it!" That is the reckless attitude I see on them, and of course, the tagging, vandalizing fools all seem to follow. Kinds immature and selfish, if you ask me. But thats what it is now, I guess. They've never replied to my comments, either. Guess it doesn't matter to them. Wacth though, as all these places slowly( or quickly) get trashed because of their lack of discretion.
@@DinoNuggets7 the palace they just explored and OUTED in Portugal is now tagged. Their open disclosure of abandoned historical places with so many subscribers is totally irresponsible and stupid.
These people have successfully broken into a prison. This is a masterpiece.
Imagine having a cell with a beachfront view.
No it would be depressing
Awe yes. See the beauty you can never touch, never experience.
@@volestoat 💯
Reminds me a bit of Alcatraz
@@loverlei79 seeing the Seagulls every day flying around freely. The gulls having fun in the sky and dropping into the ocean for a quick dip.
That playful scene with the dog makes this video one of the most wholesome urbex exploring videos you guys have made ^-^
that plus the black cat lurking and them rating all dogs a 10 was too much cute
It's crazy to see how big you guys have gotten! I remember you were my roommates in sophomore year of college - just wanted to drop in and say I hope you guys are doing well! Keep up the awesome content!
TPP: Hi from Alberta Canada. The best abandoned places channel going. I appreciate that you don't physically break into places must be free access, do not damage take video or still photos only, take no souvenirs or tag with graffiti etc. The most interesting abandoned locations. Look forward to your next posting.
Very cool. A fellow Canadian. Hi from Regina, Saskatchewan.
Cochrane AB here. Always appreciative of respectful urbex folks
Ha, BC here!
Doesn't seem that bad to take souvenirs imo.
As a local it's really cool to see urbex RUclipsrs showing the interior of the prison. It's sad to see that abandoned prison when walking through the promenade. Back in the days there used to be always a security guard on the door but I haven't seen it in the last years.
There's a project to convert the prison into a social, cultural and educational building called Proxecto Cárcere (Project Prison) but so far after 10 years they haven't done much progress.
Also, there is an abandoned tram depot 500 meters away from the prison that is worth visiting but I guess it's already too late.
You bringing up that project reminded me of this other similar thing i saw years ago, a prison that was abandoned and there was some kind of tour set up, and at least one video made of someone trying to go into closed off areas.. is there a relation somewhere?
@@HarmonyOmega a similar thing has been done with the Modelo prison in Barcelona, which is a cultural center now
It must have been particularly cruel to be so close to the freedom of the sea, and the tides, and be unable to live a free existence. I wonder how many are still alive that remember the place today.
The irony of breaking INTO a prison! Thanks for the fantastic tour.
Today i have to say thank you guys!! A Coruña it´s the city were i study and i´ve lived there for 4 years, everytime i walk to the "Torre de Hercules" i wondered how the interior of the prison would look like, because the exterior it´s super cool, and the views are stunning!!!
Near there i´ve explored a modernist house known as "Casa Bailly" or "El Grajal" expropriated during the Franco era and used as a military school and its basement as a prison for the opposing side, its inscriptions can still be read on the walls today.
In my town we have a whole circus and a surrounding city founded by a priest and orphan kids, "El circo/ciudad de los muchachos" This circus toured the world, they even performed at Madison Square Garden! and became very famous in the 60s and 70s,the history itself it´s amazing!
I agree the outside looks really cool, especially with the moss. Strange inside tho, the lighting gives it sorta airy vibes
You commented two days before video came out lol

I look forward to your uploads. I find it hard to watch other explores as they don't seem as fluid as your walk throughs. Love hearing the history behind the locations.
I like how it seemed pretty peaceful and nice outside the prison. With all of the seagull sounds, grass, sea, etc.
But once you go in just a bit things seem to get dark and scary kind of fast.
Being someone who knows the feeling of being caged in- especially in an urban environment- it sure does hit me differently, especially when looking out of the widows. I wonder how many people, no matter the story, surely some innocent, have looked through those very same dotted grates at the lighthouse, freedom and society so close, but yet- just out of reach. How many tears were shed in silence on those concrete chairs. The anguish and thirst for something beyond this.
I don't know the whole history but I also know there are innocents caught up in prison. I don't speak from prison experience, I speak from a lock-down orphanage experience. It's where my agoraphobia began. Every day feeling the same on the same 3000sqft stretch of the upper-level of an inconspicuous place somewhere in Ohio. My eyes felt half-open as every day I would retort the same- "Today I feel fine." Play their game. So you can leave.
Once in a great while the kids with me would have a chance to escorted to a garage-type place under part of the building's architecture. They called it "The Cage" because there was an opening to outside air, however it was covered floor to ceiling overhang with hexagonal gate. I didn't even want to go down there, it only reminded me even more of the isolation. Snowfall would be so beautiful- but never within reach. It was painful. Those small city lights, unsure how far away, they were painful to look at, at night, whilst the younger kids in the orphanage cried for their mothers.
Ha oops, too deep. But it's what videos like this remind me of. The people who were really there, experiencing it.
I've never had the displeasure of experiencing such a thing, but it still hits me hard. It's sad, depressing even, that such a place can exist in our society.
"All that we can do is just survive,
all that we can do to help ourselves is stay alive"...
Humans belong in nature, not rectangular caves.
"Urban" is just another term for big, modern cities.
I hate what has become of cities. Too overpopulated and people stuffed in to small apartments.
Tonight, after a very hot day in The Netherlands, ill be chillin' on my sofa watching this 😎👍🏼
Hier hetzelfde! Met een koude Hoegaarden!
Hier ook. Met een koude Gulpener Korenwolf!
Cheers from 🇨🇦🙂
Yeah it was boiling out here in Utrecht today
Grtz back people!! Ja, de tering wat heet 😎🤣👍🏼
To be honest, looks were deceiving with this one. On the outside it looks spectacular. On the inside? Kinda underwhelming, save for a couple of rooms taken over by moss.
@3:01 Border Collies love to chase anything you can throw. I have a Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix and he is so fun, loving and smart.
Most people want to break out of prisons, not break in 🤗
8:52 Calendar is from 1996. You can make out the 6 at the end. Makes sense as the prison closed the year after.
Random dog. "Human, play with me". Nature's barbed wire.
The sound of the wind buffeting around my headphones was very cool--and cooling!--to hear, during this heat wave we're experiencing. Love from England 💛💛
Not as much graffiti as there could have been seeing how it is so close to people. Also, some of the cells had better bathrooms in them then most cells here in the US. Always nice to see these places and wonder what it was like when it was open and what the prisoners thought.
You know it's an interesting place when you find a black cat hanging around all casually. 🐈⬛
He looked like he might've come up, if they'd called him. He looked a little friendly.
13:52 I mean, if you can't show what it is, why even include it at all? 🤷♂
Wow thats cool! Cheers from CM Exploration!
I’m living for your Spain series!! Mi encanta Espana!! My husband is from Spain and we’ve been back several times to visit his family, but I don’t have the guts to visit any abandoned places.
You should put it on your bucket list. And film it of course.
Me and my friend are taking high school spanish for the sole purpose we get a spain trip and we are sneaking out to go explore one. Going to leave a note obviously in case they find we are gone and assume something bad happened to us. Whats the worst that can happen, if we get caught we get in trouble and reprimanded im sure, but you only get to live once.
@@bikesandbandos I took 2 yrs of HS French and then 2 yrs of college French and then ended up marrying a Spanish man. Haha! You’re right though they’d probably just give you a warning and tell you to leave.
The stuff in the Laundry room dates
back maybe earliest 1960s.
What a beautiful exploration
Also the reddish flooring on the stairs gotta be one of the most 80s 90s Spanish things from that building hehe!
I love the dog ratings 🤣 I was like "10/10, obviously"
That whole place seems to be a mixture of about 4 or 5 different design styles and periods. Strange, but works so well.
Great drone shots guys! Imagine breaking INTO a prison lol
Good one 😆
That was an awesome explore, very scenic! Thank you.
I love the “Birds Aren’t Real” reference. Great work as always.
With the gulls, the moss, the mold, and the black cobwebs gave this prison a surreal sad feeling. It's beautiful in it's decay. Thankfully it wasn't covered in graffiti. Fantastic find guys.
Its so bright, almost friendly. Like an old, somewhat shabby resort. With armored doors and tiny rooms. 😅
The highlights to me are the exterior and all the rooms with green stuff, looks almost like art.
I researched and the black cobwebs are actually soot tags
those cobwebs are nightmare fuel :|
Pretty amazing construction. I like how much natural light there is too. I feel the pain though of those souls who were locked up in there. Seems like it still has good bones and could be saved before it got too much worse. Little trippy though when that door slammed shut .... oh man what an episode that would be.
re: egg cartons
that's right, homemade soundproofing
Wow!!! It looks like there’s a whole history 2 this place.
Dog: "Hi Human! Play with me!"
Birds: "Aaaaaarrrrrghhhhhhhh!"
Cat: "I will allow you to continue to exist".
This is by far the best exploration channel ever. Thanks to the Proper People, we get to see the most intriguing and most interesting places all over the world! Thank you for all your hard work!!
Proper People: scanning the prison building.
Spanish doggo: Tirar el palo!!😄
Amazing how much natural light this place has.
I really felt like I was watching someone play Assassin’s Creed when you first hopped over the wall and got into the guard tower. Very cool as always, guys!
Can’t watch the entirety of this until tonight, but wanted to comment how much I look forward to these!
that wasn't any normal bird it's a seagull and a very dangerous one... it was in fact Steven seagull........ I'll leave now🤣🤣🤣
If I was a prisoner there I think the birds would drive me nuts.
This channel has been growing a lot since 6 years ago, think yall had 200k 6 years ago, but I love how the channel has no changed, I hope the intro never changes
well you got me for the first time with the wine subscription box, cant pass up a deal like that.
Wow, that building site next to the sea would probably cost millions.
I wish you'd do more abandoned castles and manors in Europe. The other urbexers are okay, but I'm tired of the same-old shit where research consists of looking for a calendar and regurgitating other video stories, whether true or not. Love to see someone actually relate why a particular rich place has become abandoned and left by officials to rot.
You guys have mastered urban exploration. I try to catch you and Explomo's video's on my day's off work or after work. You both can honestly compete with PBS and network TV. I like the content of your video's so much and look forward to finding out what's next. Thank you for the quality you put into your video's.
The birds aren't real! 😂 That intro was great and def dare devel level 5 walking that wall.
Those cobwebs look
like women’s human hair.
stay safe exploring.☺︎︎
I always carried good duct tape to put over door latches. And checked doors before going through them. Just in case.
That prison is very reminiscent of Nova Prospekt, the prison from Half-Life 2.
I came here to say the same!
Its a beautiful building its too bad they couldnt turn it into something else such as hotel or residences since it adds so much picturesqueness to the local scenery
"hey officer these guys are trying to break into prison"
Y'all, my jaw dropped at the drone shots! It's beautiful.
I love you guys.
Those random seagulls are perfect ambient sound
Now I see why you guys are dressed in Black! You're Ninjas!
Perfect editing
You goof balls! The sheet hanging there meant MOVIE NIGHT!
I love your videos I'm a big fan
I always enjoy the beginning when we get the chance to see them make their way in. The GoPro on Michael's head this time takes me back to some of the older videos on the channel, love it :)
Thank you for the new episode. I binge-watched all the others and was craving a new one. Love the series. Cheers from Canada!
I never clicked on a video so fast 🤗
The birds (cctv cameras) are definitely not real.
This reminds me a lot of your early videos. Great work!
Hey Bryan and Micheal. Thanks for posting another awesome video and great to see ya my friends.
That place was realy cool
Yeah i know. Considering it’s a prison. lol
Fun fact: the tags represent a proyect for a new use of the building, its called Proxecto Cárcere
Galicia is home to some very interesting history :)
All graffiti looks terrible and ugly
Wow, that is some beautiful decay!
Bonus points for black cat 24:00
Those narrow halls were claustrophobic, but I guess most prisons are. The funny thing is: I spend a lot of time at the beach, and feeding gulls at the beach and Texas gulls sound really different than Spanish gulls. Didn’t get good look at ones there, so don’t know if look the same; perhaps a different species. Did you get to the big round part on top? Missed it if you did.
Nova Prospekt anyone?
Endo scope the crappyist camera
First Spanish prison I've seen.
24:00 found the banging sounds :P
looks like the prison in half life 2
Does anyone else come back to check on this channel every once in awhile?
Yes...I wonder what's going on. No new videos in 2 weeks.
