I’d like to point out that along with the comments, I agree with the fact that the reason Shadow seems weaker than Sonic is due to the inhibitor rings. As the name implies, it inhibits the user from using their full power, especially since unlike Knuckles, who maintains control of the Master Emerald and the energy that is Chaos, Shadow cannot inherently maintain control over his energy and the raw powers of Chaos in him. That’s why he needs the inhibitors, otherwise he would unintentionally go all out all the time!
I should add that Sonic rarely goes all out wether or not they’re friend or foe because he knows if he does, he’d wipe out dang near every living thing. He has control over his energy.

I imagine the Sol Dimension is basically the Foil Verse. Blaze and Sonic are foils, with Sonic being free spirited while Blaze is more reserved, but both are still fast and on the side of good. Tails and Marine are also foils. Their attitudes contrast each other's, as do their specialties, Tails is the tech, whilst Marine is better with woodwork. Then there's Johnny and Metal Sonic. They both serve as personal challenges and have tunnel vision when it comes to a certain blue hedgehog, but Metal Sonic's entire identity is based on someone else's, whilst Johnny has his own thing going on. Eggman Nega is from the future, not the Sol Dimension, so instead we'll go with Eggman and Captain Whiskers; both are robot-associated antagonists with stage presence. However, Eggman is a persistent villain with initiative, and Captain Whiskers is a pawn in someone else's scheme. It even applies to the Sol and Chaos Emeralds; the Chaos Emeralds are, well, chaotic; what they can and can't do is constantly changing, depending on the story. The Sol Emeralds, meanwhile, are much more consistent with their fire theming and other traits. The Sol Emeralds always get stolen from Blaze when they need to be recollected, they don't just disappear at a whim like the Chaos Emeralds sometimes do. However, this might be just because the Sol Emeralds have appeared in far fewer stories than the Chaos Emeralds. Blaze is my favorite Sonic character, and I'm confident she'd be able to hold her own against Shadow.

We really don’t know much else about Silver because his powers never get explored- And psychokinesis in theory can be terrifying- He could crush someone’s heart with a single thought, strangle them in mid air like Darth Vader or mess up your organs. But coming back as it relates to silver. 1. He would hold back because that’s inhumane 2. We don’t even know if he can because we don’t have enough screen time with him like shadow!

Some corrections here: 1. The Sol Dimension has a Tails' alternative version, that is Marine the Racoon, she's Blaze's friend and it's a counterpart from Tails in Blaze's world, with her paralel to Tails being that Tails is better constructing things, while she is better on planing them and having ideas 2. Sonic 06 had a reset at the end of the game, nothing of that game's events technically happend, at the end the characters find out that the only way to defeat Solaris, since he is the god of time and immortal, was to rewrite the timeline getting into the beggining of that game in a timeline that Solaris does not exist, it is shown sometimes that the characters somehow remember one thing or another about 06 events, but that "didn't happend" because it got erased and they don't remember everything, just some things (That's even why Blaze and Silver are so close friends even if they never met since 06 never happend, when they meet again "for the first time" in Sonic Colors DS they already have such a strong connection and friendship, and know how to work as a team flawlessly, they even mention if they weren't a team somewhere sometime before) And it's not 100% clear that Blaze knows who Sonic is in 06, in fact there is a theory that says that Sonic 06 takes place BEFORE Sonic Rush, that's why Blaze does not know who the "Blue Hedgehog" is, even if you think that doesn't make sense only because Sonic Rush released in 2005 and Sonic 06 released of course in 2006, we gotta remember that it is the same case with Sonic CD, Sonic CD takes place beetween Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, even if CD is from 1993 and Sonic 2 is from 1992 (even if originally it was supposed to be the other way around) It is a bit different since Rush was the game that was supposed to present Blaze, but the game STILL can take place after 06, not only that would explain why Blaze doesn't know Sonic, but also would explain why Blaze knows Sonic and remember Sonic Rush in the events after, Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic Colors DS, Team Sonic Racing, and even IDW 3. Eggman Nega it's NOT Eggman's counterpart on the Sol Dimension, he is from the future, a descendent from Dr. Eggman himself, that is explained in Sonic Rivals, and since both Rivals games and both Rush games states different things, with the Rivals duology saying he is from Silver's future and Rush games saying he is from Blaze's dimension, but with the Encyclo-speed-ia confirming that he IS from Silver's future, we can assume that he somehoe got into the Sol Dimension and LIED about being from Blaze's World, and everyone believed it But it was a good video anyway
Correction 1 is debatable considering that marine is just some child that sonic and tails found in blaze’s world and never stated to be blaze’s sidekick, and I entirely disagree with correction 3 due to the fact that rivals slivers story was absolutely horrible and the fact they just yoinked eggman nega from the rush games and ruin the story like they did blaze in 06.

Here's the thing about the Sol Dimension, we hardly have anything to go off of from them, and those things we do, most of them just get retconned to oblivion! We could go with headcanon, sure, I'm not against that because you practically have to when it comes to the sonic series, but as far as I'm away blaze is from sonic rush and then the directors of '06 decided "hey we need a character that can control flames" (for story reasons) and just shoved blaze in there without any thought on how that messes with the canon, as that implies that blaze has not only been to Sonic's dimension, but also in the future? So is she from the future of Sonic's dimension or the present in her own dimension? We don't know, there's no explanation Not only that but Eggman mega being colder and more calculated, sure, a description can say that but the way he's portrayed in the games he's in? He actually seems to be 99% exactly the same as Sonic's eggman with the remaining 1% being him being even more of a nut job, with being unwilling to accept an L and doing something dangerous to his person that Sonic's eggman wouldn't have done Also eggman nega's origins are fucked too, is he from Sonic's dimension in the future? While I can certainly see the resemblance (good job character designer), Nega is a suffix that means "Nega*tive*". It already makes no sense that a different universe has a character with the same name and a suffix that implies that they're a counterpart to a character from a different universe, it makes even less sense that someone would name their kid "(Name) Nega". 7:12-7:24 In Sonic Generations, it was confirmed that they could only beat each other with special energy orbs. Also recently in Sonic Prime, Shadow dominated Sonic and stole his tech when he was conscious. While Sonic only got it back when Shadow was unconscious.
They weren't really FIGHTING in Sonic Prime S2. They were just trying to get the tech from each other. I'd use the example at the beggining of Season 1. Where Shadow was beating Sonic before he got to Eggman, but Sonic only got past him when he caught Shadow of guard

I find it important that sonic usually needs his whole crew to stop Eggman or in some cases he only has tails and some other companion. Blaze on the other hand has presumably been taking down Eggman by her self sonic 1 style for possibly as long as sonic ofc until silver showed up. Since there is no Eggman negative in 06 maybe she took him out for good? Idk.
Sonic doesn't need the whole crew to stop Eggman. Tons, most of Sonic games had Sonic beating Eggman on his own. A lot of time, Sonic has shown to be able to 1v1 him by himself a lot and others when he needed help because it's a different entity, like Infinite or Chaos.
To be honest, I say Sonic and Shadow are equals especially after how Shadow absolutely violated Sonic in all their fights in Sonic Prime. Add on to the fact that Shadow is practically immortal, has the same speed and strength as Sonic, and is capable of using chaos powers, the ability to manipulate time and space, and his ruthless personality, Shadow is practically the most broken character in the series. I'd say Blaze is right behind them but possibly loses to Super Silver, whose appearance in IDW kinda showed how broken his psychic powers could be. Blaze doesn't really have much material to go off since Sega doesn't want to use her nowadays so unfortunately she's right behind Sonic and Shadow and sort of tied with Silver imo.

10:28 11 months late, but there is a possible explanation for this. The biggest one I have seen is that this is a translation error. In the Japanese script, Sonic has been referred to as a naive Hedgehog. Mephiles and Blaze were supposed to be saying “Naive Hedgehog”, but since the Japanese word for “Naive” is so similar to “Blue”, the people translating just rolled with “Blue”. The other explanation is that the theorized timeline of events is 06, Rush, then Rivals. It’s theorized that the dimension that Blaze seals herself away in is the Sol Dimension, however the Japanese manual for 06 claims that Blaze is from the Sol Dimension, so there’s a big hole in that theory. Another thing is that there are characters who do remember the events of 06. Those characters being Sonic, Shadow, and vaguely Blaze. Sonic and Shadow have both been stated by outside sources to remember all the events in 06, meanwhile Blaze has a feint memory of Crisis City in Generations, meaning she has some recollection of 06 happening.

Blaze is beating Shadow, Shadow has so many anti feats it’s insane. Because of his anti feats we can’t consistently scale Shadow to Sonic. And my top 5 is Sonic Blaze Shadow or Silver or Jet or Surge Amy or Knuckles or Tails And maybe the chaotix.

But we do see him when it comes to speed and he has consistent statements and feats that make him faster then Shadow and Sonics only true speed rival. First, we know the Extreme Gear makes you faster, meaning Jet keeping up with Sonic on the Extreme gear is impressive, since he’s able to react to obstacles and stuff. We see in Riders Zero Gravity(I believe, id have to recheck) he beats Shadow 3 TIMES in a race and then says his only true rival is Sonic. This is supported by Archie(which I know isn’t main canon, but it does give insight to what writers think about when they write the characters) where Shadow has to use Chaos Control to keep up with Jet. Jet is also stated to be just as fast as Sonic meaning even when Jet is off the Extreme Gear he’s faster then Shadow.
I would like to say that silver's relationship with blaze and her being a mentor figure seems to be more of an emotional mentor if anything silver often being the one to handle most things in battle while blaze backs him up the problem with silver is his nativity qhich has left him vulnerable emotionally and in battle so she has to teach him to not being so child like during serious moments

Now your a pretty good Sonic fan but I just need to correct a few things real quick: Knuckles Vs Blaze: If you’ve played Sonic 06 and seen the comics ,then you know how strong blaze can be. Although Blaze has beat Knuckles in battles before ,Knuckles can slam Blaze. Blaze is the guardian of the sol emeralds which contain a lot of energy and power (almost as much as the chaos emeralds) ,but Knuckles is the Guardian of the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds. Now in Sonic Adventure ,Blaze managed to get into her super form using the sol emeralds. She used its energy and became Burning Blaze. The thing about Knuckles is that he never holds back and we can actually tell from the battles. Knuckles is a Guardian of a great power source and when we see him In battles ,he is clearly not using his full power. The Master Emerald has more power than any power source in the franchise and he has the control of all of it! So when Knuckles is in battles ,he is not holding back. If Knuckles were to actually use his power ,he would slam Blaze with ease! I guess Cream was right about Knuckles after all. He is a “tough guy”. Blaze Vs Silver: When it comes to Blaze Vs Silver ,Silver is slamming! Silver has better speed,feats and power. Silver managed to actually beat Sonic in a fight and was really close to killing him! I feel like Silver does have full control over his phyconesus but he doesn’t use all of it. If you look at the rings Silver is wearing they are flashing cyan which is the same colour as his power. I think he keeps his other power in there just like Shadow and could destroy Blaze once he unleashes it. Blaze overtakes Silver at Strength,Iq and Battle Iq ,but not anything else. Blaze Vs Tails: Blaze isn’t as strong as you think. When you think of Tails you would picture him as the weak handyman that always needs Sonic to survive. Actually Tails can manage on his own just fine. Tails has better feats than Blaze and has more knowledge of the past. I’m sure Tails has finally reached enough strength to beat ATLEAST Tabuu. I don’t think Blaze could survive without the Sol emeralds because they give her a lot of power. Tails is so smart that he made a decoy chaos emerald that almost has the same exact power as a normal one! Infact his decoy chaos emerald probably has the same power as all of Blazes Sol emeralds combined! If there is no weapons or tech and it was a fresh clean 1v1 then Blaze is slamming ,but Tails always comes to a fight prepared. Don’t underestimate Tails. Shadow Vs Blaze: Personally I think Shadow would win with a mid diff. Shadow is the true ultimate Lifeform meaning he can focus and control the power of the chaos emeralds. Like you said Shadow has been the closest to beating Sonic out of every hero in the franchise. Shadow has better feats,strength,speed,durability and defense. I thought that all the battles with sonic and shadow were left for gameplay to decide. In sonic adventure 2 the only part that definitely happens at the end is eggman puts the last chaos emerald into the machine which both stories show how that could have happened but whoever wins between sonic or shadow it wouldn’t be contradicting that. Same for sonic heroes the winner of the fights are determined by the story u picked. And no matter who wins it wouldn’t change the end result. Only in sonic generations does sonic come out ontop. Idk the context behind that battle and even if it was a battle of both using there max strength. I don’t think shadow ever fought sonic with his rings off so. Shadow would still might have a possibility to beat sonic in a fight. Right? Oh but this is about blaze 😅yeah I agree blaze is probably around 3rd strongest among the cast from what we seen from her. We really don’t know much else about Silver because his powers never get explored-
And psychokinesis in theory can be terrifying-
He could crush someone’s heart with a single thought, strangle them in mid air like Darth Vader or mess up your organs.
But coming back as it relates to silver.

2. We don’t even know if he can because we don’t have enough screen time with him like shadow!

Some corrections here:
1. The Sol Dimension has a Tails' alternative version, that is Marine the Racoon, she's Blaze's friend and it's a counterpart from Tails in Blaze's world, with her paralel to Tails being that Tails is better constructing things, while she is better on planing them and having ideas
2. Sonic 06 had a reset at the end of the game, nothing of that game's events technically happend, at the end the characters find out that the only way to defeat Solaris, since he is the god of time and immortal, was to rewrite the timeline getting into the beggining of that game in a timeline that Solaris does not exist, it is shown sometimes that the characters somehow remember one thing or another about 06 events, but that "didn't happend" because it got erased and they don't remember everything, just some things (That's even why Blaze and Silver are so close friends even if they never met since 06 never happend, when they meet again "for the first time" in Sonic Colors DS they already have such a strong connection and friendship, and know how to work as a team flawlessly, they even mention if they weren't a team somewhere sometime before)
And it's not 100% clear that Blaze knows who Sonic is in 06, in fact there is a theory that says that Sonic 06 takes place BEFORE Sonic Rush, that's why Blaze does not know who the "Blue Hedgehog" is, even if you think that doesn't make sense only because Sonic Rush released in 2005 and Sonic 06 released of course in 2006, we gotta remember that it is the same case with Sonic CD, Sonic CD takes place beetween Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, even if CD is from 1993 and Sonic 2 is from 1992 (even if originally it was supposed to be the other way around)
It is a bit different since Rush was the game that was supposed to present Blaze, but the game STILL can take place after 06, not only that would explain why Blaze doesn't know Sonic, but also would explain why Blaze knows Sonic and remember Sonic Rush in the events after, Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic Colors DS, Team Sonic Racing, and even IDW
3. Eggman Nega it's NOT Eggman's counterpart on the Sol Dimension, he is from the future, a descendent from Dr. Eggman himself, that is explained in Sonic Rivals, and since both Rivals games and both Rush games states different things, with the Rivals duology saying he is from Silver's future and Rush games saying he is from Blaze's dimension, but with the Encyclo-speed-ia confirming that he IS from Silver's future, we can assume that he somehoe got into the Sol Dimension and LIED about being from Blaze's World, and everyone believed it

Correction 1 is debatable considering that marine is just some child that sonic and tails found in blaze’s world and never stated to be blaze’s sidekick, and I entirely disagree with correction 3 due to the fact that rivals slivers story was absolutely horrible and the fact they just yoinked eggman nega from the rush games and ruin the story like they did blaze in 06.

We could go with headcanon, sure, I'm not against that because you practically have to when it comes to the sonic series, but as far as I'm away blaze is from sonic rush and then the directors of '06 decided "hey we need a character that can control flames" (for story reasons) and just shoved blaze in there without any thought on how that messes with the canon, as that implies that blaze has not only been to Sonic's dimension, but also in the future? So is she from the future of Sonic's dimension or the present in her own dimension? We don't know, there's no explanation
Not only that but Eggman mega being colder and more calculated, sure, a description can say that but the way he's portrayed in the games he's in? He actually seems to be 99% exactly the same as Sonic's eggman with the remaining 1% being him being even more of a nut job, with being unwilling to accept an L and doing something dangerous to his person that Sonic's eggman wouldn't have done
Also eggman nega's origins are fucked too, is he from Sonic's dimension in the future? Is he from blaze's dimension? We have no idea. Originally in rush he was established to be eggman's equivalent in the sol dimension, (even though as great as rush is, they definitely just got really lazy with the whole eggman equivalent thing, I mean really, it's just eggman with a suffix and an implied incrementally differnt personality) and they went even further with that idea in rush adventure too, so it seems to hold true, but then sonic rivals happened and silver exists in the future without blaze? Okay sure. World's still on fire for some reason? Okay sure. Eggman Nega is eggman's descendant? You lost me.
While I can certainly see the resemblance (good job character designer), Nega is a suffix that means "Nega*tive*". It already makes no sense that a different universe has a character with the same name and a suffix that implies that they're a counterpart to a character from a different universe, it makes even less sense that someone would name their kid "(Name) Nega". Like no wonder he's evil lmao

I find it important that sonic usually needs his whole crew to stop Eggman or in some cases he only has tails and some other companion. Blaze on the other hand has presumably been taking down Eggman by her self sonic 1 style for possibly as long as sonic ofc until silver showed up. Since there is no Eggman negative in 06 maybe she took him out for good? Idk.
Sonic doesn't need the whole crew to stop Eggman. Tons, most of Sonic games had Sonic beating Eggman on his own. A lot of time, Sonic has shown to be able to 1v1 him by himself a lot and others when he needed help because it's a different entity, like Infinite or Chaos.

To be honest, I say Sonic and Shadow are equals especially after how Shadow absolutely violated Sonic in all their fights in Sonic Prime. Add on to the fact that Shadow is practically immortal, has the same speed and strength as Sonic, and is capable of using chaos powers, the ability to manipulate time and space, and his ruthless personality, Shadow is practically the most broken character in the series.
I'd say Blaze is right behind them but possibly loses to Super Silver, whose appearance in IDW kinda showed how broken his psychic powers could be. Blaze doesn't really have much material to go off since Sega doesn't want to use her nowadays so unfortunately she's right behind Sonic and Shadow and sort of tied with Silver imo.

10:28 11 months late, but there is a possible explanation for this. The biggest one I have seen is that this is a translation error. In the Japanese script, Sonic has been referred to as a naive Hedgehog. Mephiles and Blaze were supposed to be saying “Naive Hedgehog”, but since the Japanese word for “Naive” is so similar to “Blue”, the people translating just rolled with “Blue”.
The other explanation is that the theorized timeline of events is 06, Rush, then Rivals. It’s theorized that the dimension that Blaze seals herself away in is the Sol Dimension, however the Japanese manual for 06 claims that Blaze is from the Sol Dimension, so there’s a big hole in that theory.
Another thing is that there are characters who do remember the events of 06. Those characters being Sonic, Shadow, and vaguely Blaze. Sonic and Shadow have both been stated by outside sources to remember all the events in 06, meanwhile Blaze has a feint memory of Crisis City in Generations, meaning she has some recollection of 06 happening.

Shadow himself saying he’s weaker to Sonic. 3. Shadow again admits inferiority in Sonic Battle. 4. Sonic beats Shadow while holding back.

But we do see him when it comes to speed and he has consistent statements and feats that make him faster then Shadow and Sonics only true speed rival. First, we know the Extreme Gear makes you faster, meaning Jet keeping up with Sonic on the Extreme gear is impressive, since he’s able to react to obstacles and stuff. We see in Riders Zero Gravity(I believe, id have to recheck) he beats Shadow 3 TIMES in a race and then says his only true rival is Sonic. This is supported by Archie(which I know isn’t main canon, but it does give insight to what writers think about when they write the characters) where Shadow has to use Chaos Control to keep up with Jet. Jet is also stated to be just as fast as Sonic meaning even when Jet is off the Extreme Gear he’s faster then Shadow.

Now your a pretty good Sonic fan but I just need to correct a few things real quick:
Knuckles Vs Blaze:
If you’ve played Sonic 06 and seen the comics ,then you know how strong blaze can be. Although Blaze has beat Knuckles in battles before ,Knuckles can slam Blaze. Blaze is the guardian of the sol emeralds which contain a lot of energy and power (almost as much as the chaos emeralds) ,but Knuckles is the Guardian of the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds. Now in Sonic Adventure ,Blaze managed to get into her super form using the sol emeralds. She used its energy and became Burning Blaze. The thing about Knuckles is that he never holds back and we can actually tell from the battles. Knuckles is a Guardian of a great power source and when we see him In battles ,he is clearly not using his full power. The Master Emerald has more power than any power source in the franchise and he has the control of all of it! So when Knuckles is in battles ,he is not holding back. If Knuckles were to actually use his power ,he would slam Blaze with ease! I guess Cream was right about Knuckles after all. He is a “tough guy”.
Blaze Vs Silver:
When it comes to Blaze Vs Silver ,Silver is slamming! Silver has better speed,feats and power. Silver managed to actually beat Sonic in a fight and was really close to killing him! I feel like Silver does have full control over his phyconesus but he doesn’t use all of it. If you look at the rings Silver is wearing they are flashing cyan which is the same colour as his power. I think he keeps his other power in there just like Shadow and could destroy Blaze once he unleashes it. Blaze overtakes Silver at Strength,Iq and Battle Iq ,but not anything else.
Blaze Vs Tails:
Blaze isn’t as strong as you think. When you think of Tails you would picture him as the weak handyman that always needs Sonic to survive. Actually Tails can manage on his own just fine. Tails has better feats than Blaze and has more knowledge of the past. I’m sure Tails has finally reached enough strength to beat ATLEAST Tabuu. I don’t think Blaze could survive without the Sol emeralds because they give her a lot of power. Tails is so smart that he made a decoy chaos emerald that almost has the same exact power as a normal one! Infact his decoy chaos emerald probably has the same power as all of Blazes Sol emeralds combined! If there is no weapons or tech and it was a fresh clean 1v1 then Blaze is slamming ,but Tails always comes to a fight prepared. Don’t underestimate Tails.
Shadow Vs Blaze:
Personally I think Shadow would win with a mid diff. Shadow is the true ultimate Lifeform meaning he can focus and control the power of the chaos emeralds. Like you said Shadow has been the closest to beating Sonic out of every hero in the franchise. Shadow has better feats,strength,speed,durability and defense. Shadow is basically Sonic but an edge lord. So I think Shadow slams.

I thought that all the battles with sonic and shadow were left for gameplay to decide. In sonic adventure 2 the only part that definitely happens at the end is eggman puts the last chaos emerald into the machine which both stories show how that could have happened but whoever wins between sonic or shadow it wouldn’t be contradicting that. Same for sonic heroes the winner of the fights are determined by the story u picked. And no matter who wins it wouldn’t change the end result.
