    This was so easy! I can’t believe everyone in town told me I had to dissemble the entire head light to change the bulb.. I came across this tutorial , I followed each step and BOMB!! Both head lights replaced in 25 mins . I don’t need NO MAN 💁🏽‍♀️

    My 2011 6 has entirely different headlights! That said, this is THE way to service my low beams which cannot be accessed from under the hood. BTDT
    Anyway 10/10 for the shortcut shown here regardless of which year we own, so thanks for posting this! 🙂

    Great video thanks man! First advice - FIRST CHECK FUSES under the hood - in Mazda 6 (from 2012-2014 I assume) we have got 2 fuses: for L and R bulbs (numers 23 i 24, when you open black fuse box there is a helpful fuse diagram on the back of this cover :)). As someone else mentioned, leave hood open - you will have more light.

    perfect description to replace head light bulb for 2015 Mazda 6-yes you have to lie on your back but it took me less than 10 minutes to do both--helps to have a friend hold the plastic back while you remove and insert the bulb. I was worried about popping the plastic clips/rivets--key is pop the button on the first--there are ares around it to insert a flat head screw driver to just simply pop it up. Then pull it out. Once you do one the others are easy.

  • @DarrenPugh-r6u
    @DarrenPugh-r6u 3 месяца назад

    I JUST went through this routine.....broke one of those PLASTIC retainer clip things while "unbuttoning" the splash panel.....THEN, after I can put fingers on the bulb, IT DECIDES TO WORK. ooohOOOHooohOOOH ("Ghostly sound") 😄 NOW, I just need to find a handful of those clips. Sure hope they're not a "dealer item." If they are, I'll put a bolt and a lock washer on it.

    I actually opened the air intake and moved it up. Then opened the fuse box. Removed the one bolt and one nut. Both are 10mm. Popped it back and up. It gave me enough room to do this on the driver side. The passenger side was tight, but didn't have to remove anything at all. Was done in 10 minutes total. Hope this helps those with fairly normal sized hands. If you have large hands, then take the longer route described in this video.

    The 2013 Mazda 6 is completely different from this. More clips to pop off, and it is much harder to pry open. But the hard part on the 2013's is there is an entire other case containing the bulb. You don't just see it when you pry the black part back.

    Is it the same on the other side? I saw one video with replacing bulb from the top, there is much more space. (I replaced left bulb today, but it's not working - it could be a fuse or wires, I had a quick look on wires, they seemed fine, will check a fuse in a engine fuse box [no 23 is for a left bulb, 24 for a right one]).

    You do not have to go through the fender well to change lightbulbs on a Mazda six. You can just reach under the hood to the back of the headlamp Assembly and unscrew it. Done it plenty of times. Do not tear your car apart to do it this way. I’m taking about a 2016 mod

    You dont have to do any of this. You can get to the bulb from the hood if you remove the top of the filter cover (very easy to do). . If you have good hands you can change them both. I did mine on my 2014 mazda6 without removing anything by the wheels.
