    When you are mentioning Jet sizes. Are you going by Jet stamping number or are you pinning the jets?
    Also, pinned jets are you adding 6 to the number so a jet Pinned as a 126 is actually a 120?

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  2 года назад +1

      Pinned numbers are correct size over stamped.

    Haven't seen any announcement from KA about any rule changes to Rotax? Shouldn't this be emailed to members rather than finding out by chance in your videos? Thanks for keeping us updated!

    Hi Derek! When it’s hotter weather, do you run the float leaner as a rule?

    En general eso hace que pueda ir más fino, correr más o es meramente reglamento.
    Qué mejoras tiene? Gracias

    Why did they make this rule then? Also, in karting, is there ever a case where you don't want to run as rich as the regulations allow?

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  3 года назад

      yeah mostly for the mini and micro max. that is why they bought it in I believe. I think so it is in line with the world Rotax rules

    Hi Derek I’ve recently bought a Rotax evo and it’s bogging coming out of corners. I’m running same gearing as my pre evo on the same track. Spark plug is ok and the jet size is correct. Some gearbox transmission fluid seems to leak around the fill plug. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

      Hey Nathan. Can you check the float level in the carb for me?

    • @nathanfrost1930
      @nathanfrost1930 2 года назад

      @@PowerRepublic it was about 4mm but I’ve changed it to 3mm now. I’m not sure this will make that much a difference. Thanks for the reply!

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  2 года назад

      @@nathanfrost1930 yeah that should help. you might have to go leaner on the main jet to compensate for the higher float level.

    My friend accidentally bent the little tab so it fowled on the side of the carb so the fuel supply never shut off then wondered why he was pumping fuel out the breather.
    When carb was apart the shut off worked fine but only once the bowl was fitted did it stop working. 😄🤣

      I pretty sure it was a safety measure introduced from Rotax so that the engines wouldn't get leaned out so far that they get damaged.
