If there is anything holding you back (other than some people wanting only Caucasians and African-Americans in music and the arts) it might be that your voice is naturally quite similar (although purer, actually) to someone else--Sam Smith if people are right. That might mean you will need a unique hook/angle/presentation or quirk that makes you different to people who already admire him. So far, we all love your voice and I see you as very different, but I'm not already a loyal fan of Sam Smith. I discovered you both about the same time, almost.
