Earlier this year, the world saw the release of Pokemon’s latest spin-off game: “Pokemon: Legends Arceus”. With how successful that game was, it’s only natural that the Pokemon anime would want to incorporate a few elements from the game. It may not be a grand time-traveling adventure for our heroes, but we still thought that we’d take a quick look at the recent Arceus special to see where exactly its characters land on the morality scale.

I honestly think the team galactic trio should’ve been rank separately. Jupiter seem to have a little more morality in this special. At least, she has a couple of points where she seems like she was questioning if the destruction was worth it all. I think Mars should have been in second place for evil. Although she is very evil, she seems a little naïve. Not to mention it seems like she has a very big admiration, bordering on a crash, when it comes to Sirus. I think Saturn should’ve gotten the gold medal, he seemed in charge of clowns and a lot more intense than before. sorry for typos
I already saw the special and I loved the Legends Arceus special it was so good on Netflix. I really enjoyed it. And I was happy to see Dawn again and Brock.

They went above and beyond with Brock's character. Using his 3 iconics pkm plus taking his shirt off and supporting Cynthia as well as being the brains of the ash team.
I completely agree with Ash being the most good character here. To be honest I'd be a little surprised if you made a Pokémon Anime series Good to Evil list and Ash isn't given the top spot.

I'm pretty sure that Mars, I'm pretty sure that's the red head, is completely loyal to Cyrus because she has a crush on him. The way she reacts to hopefully getting him back tells me that she indeed wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Though, I'm pretty sure Cyrus doesn't feel the same way, since he only cares about completing his goal, and uses those around him as tools. He doesn't care about anyone but himself.
Arceus was truly a legend of the universe past, present and future.

There’s also a few things about the Pokémon trainers they literally enslave Pokémon using Poké balls so yes they may have done some good things but they still enslaved Pokémon
How do you know that the Pokemon are enslaved? They seem free of thought and seem fully capable of just leaving if they want. While not brought up much, we only have to look at Ash's Charmander's story to show this. Damien, Charmander's original trainer, never released Charmander. If enslaved by Pokeballs, as is claimed, Charmander should have jumped back into Damian's arms the moment Damien said that he had been looking for him without a second thought. And yet, what happens? Not only does Charmander refuse, but he attacks Damien before joining up with Ash. And there's more. Remember how poorly Ash's Charmeleon and Charizard obeyed him all the way to the Orange Islands? How about his Pikachu who has been out of his Pokeball since the very first episode? Or how about the constantly appearing storyline of various Pokemon refusing to do as the trainer asks when Ash arrives? IF they were truly enslaved, those stories wouldn't keep appearing. In fact, they would never appear in the first place. Even in the games, there is mention that if a Pokemon were ever truly unhappy, they could just pop out and leave without a second thought. Not a mechanic because, imagine if you had to worry about someone in your party within an RPG randomly just saying, "Screw you, I'm going home." right in the middle of an important event because they didn't like you.
No... They are not enslaved. They train the Pokemon to be better prepared for their lives after they get released.

@@liamtherobot9656 I'm not going to argue with someone that doesn't listen to the other side. Enslaved means doing something against their will for no benefit on their end. And as I just illustrated, that is not the case. And to add to that, Pokemon absolutely do benefit from the interaction. Their evolutions and a trainer teaching them moves that they wouldn't be able to learn in the wild all aids in their survival, even if they were just regular unintelligent animals. Seeing as I brought it up, we'll take Charmander as an example. Being a fire-type, its natural habitat will likely be in and around volcanic craters, both for protection and as an area to forage for food since volcanic soil is very fertile. It evolves into Charmeleon, whose larger tail flame allows it to survive longer in rain than its previous evolution, meaning that it can have a larger territory. When it evolves to Charizard, it gains the ability to fly, which means it isn't restricted to its volcano any more which always can go silent at any given point, meaning that any Charmander population on that volcano will either have to move, be moved, or go extinct in that area.
Of course, we are only looking at Pokemon if they were dumb animals, but as seen throughout the anime, they are very intelligent. They have their own aspirations, dreams, desires. A trainer's job is to catch and raise them to become better at what they want to do. And what better way to teach a Squirtle how to accurately aim their Water Gun than in a regulated battle, which has rules that prevent permanent harm to a Pokemon through battle (look at Ash's first battle against Blaine from the first season as proof of these rules), with a moving target? The Squirtle will also have their Water Gun get stronger, better, and possibly have them evolve to better be able to be what they want to be.
You can keep saying they are enslaved, but it wouldn't be true in the slightest. Please... Pokemon that can control time, space, gravity. Pokemon can smash mountains, topple buildings, burn most everything that attempts to touch it. Able to steal souls, and many other horror pieces within the Pokedex about how outrageously powerful and deadly most Pokemon are and can be. Pokemon have immense power and abilities. IF they were enslaved, based on the fact that we have DOZENS of stories of Pokemon disobeying their trainers, nothing could stop them from wiping out all the humans. Not even the Pokeballs that you claim are keeping them enslaved.

@@liamtherobot9656 yeah, and you know what? NONE of them match what trainers do. NONE of the definitions match. Trainers aren't FORCING Pokemon to do anything. Pokeballs AREN'T controlling the Pokemon. If they were, there would NEVER be issues with having the Pokemon do as they're told. Yet, again and again, in the anime, they either encounter a trainer that has a Pokemon that refuses to do as asked, or they acquire a Pokemon that is stubborn and refuses to listen. Remember Ash's Charizard? It was notorious for how often it would refuse to listen, battle, or do anything for Ash, even blasting Ash with Flamethrower when it felt unusually cranky. Where's your "forced" or 'controlled" argument with that one?
