I would not invert the opening of the door in the bathroom. I’ll explain why: if you invert the first thing you see is the toilet. If you leave as is, you will see the prettiest part (the sink) the slanted bit will stay behind the door which is fine as it’s storage anyway.

Paint the beams in white and eggshell (low shin water based wood paint - valspar) and other in white or in a very light neutral )
