Absolutely love this video. I like the behind the scenes style of filming while you figured things out. These jackets are so cool! It really makes me want to make one too. Or maybe even a whole waterproof jumpsuit for motorcycling in the rain!
it's my pleasure to have you on my youtube channel, you are randomly selected among winners for today .. Hit me up on telegram for your (prize) 🎉🎁. Congratulation 🤝
I really hate camping, but I love this jacket! Might be therapeutic to cut up a tent...😆 Fab video Bryan. Already started a wee patchwork jacket out of some old quilted material pieces I got from my gran. Wont be waterproof, but hopefully equally as cute! Thanks.
I loveeee the authenticity of this video and how wholesome the entire springbar tent community is! the nostalgia about camping as a kid was really brought back to me ❤
I'm a seamtress, and this is an amazing idea!! I think I'll find an old tent and try to make a jacket myself! Great way to recycle and obviously it will be good for any weather!
First of all I loved the idea,😍 I also loved how gentle and thoughtful you were with it! 🖤 Second, all your friends including you & the lovely model lady in the end are 🔥😍🖤! Third, as a seamstress I have few tips to share with you, (if you continue with sewing or will need to know more, should be helpful 🖤)1- NEVER cut anything in mid air, ALWAYS place the item on top the table somewhere sturdy, flat surface for the better balance and precision, (your friend did in the video I was horrified 😅), the reason is that if you cut a fabric mid air your cut will be crooked and you might cut through layers if you have them unevenly, which will result into uneven details that won't match when you'll start sewing. 2- Don't use your fabric rotary cutter or scissors on other things, like paper etc, it will destroy the sharpness with time, have separate pair for pattern cutting, specifically for paper. 3 - Installing sleeves usually requires a little bit of 'easing' in the top curve of the sleeve, basically you run either machine stitch and tie one end of both threads and then pull them to gather slightly hence 'easing' creating slight gathered curve so it fits into armhole a lot easier or you do the same with tiny running stitch done by hand from one side of the curve of the sleeve to the other, both will work but require a little practice, practice makes progress after all! 🖤4 - there are other things that need improvement in case you'll get into sewing but there are dew channels that teach you how to install or sew in parts like sleeves, pockets, collars, zippers etc one of them is Professor Pincushion, it has a lot great videos for beginners I believe you have a great taste and great potential in sewing so will little help and practice you can make clothes for yourself and they WILL look decent like factory made. Anyway, I enjoy all your creative endeavours especially the sewing kind and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you. 🖤 P.S. - sorry for a lengthy comment I hope I didn't come out as preachy 😅🙈.
This video came out at the perfect time! Last time I went to Lush and they wrapped my order in this cute pink to purple gradient fabric. So I made little pillows for my chair and now I realize that i could potentially make things out of spare fabric I have. And now watching this video, I'm really excited to figure out what to make out of spare bedsheets, torn pants, old bags. Thanks for the inspiration and for the laughs! Keep doing what you do!

Bryan this is soooon freaking cool! I love the process and the storyline and you’re super creative! I do hope you come out with a clothing line with Springbar
I’ve been waiting for you to upload this, and what a treat for this month to have another video from you. An unexpected surprise, an early xmas miracle. The jackets are so fucking cool i love the style and the idea of reusing these retired tents. This is exactly what we need in our world. ❤❤
man you gotta bring those jackets to Springbar n show em off. they could repurpose those unreparable tents like you did. they have all the stuff to make em on a larger scale Edit: i see you did just that

Just entered the giveaway! You should try making a low rider duster coat next. Big trench coat with lots of buttons! I got one from smith n edwards made by outback trading co. And I love it! They’re normally greased canvas for waterproof…ness? So springbar canvas would be awesome, even without oil. I have so many memories about the spring bars our ward had. I always woke up last at camp outs so the other boys would collapse the tent on me to wake me up. Never worked.
ANOTHER IDEA! You should see if the canvas will hold a dirt-shirt treatment. A salt lake tent with Moab dirt shirt treatment? That would be a true Utah jacket! All it would be missing is a pocket for legally concealed carrying a North American arms revolver from Provo.
Woahhhh... You must be going out of town at the end of the month LMAO. I'm kind of excited for this video, don't get me wrong I'm always excited for your videos, but I was trying to find a way to do something similar. I know you do a lot of stuff with upholstery, rugs, etc but by any chance have you ever done any videos on redoing a couch?

Marshall: "you could make jackets for a whole entire children's soccer team" lol
I forgot that was his name. I was so confused why my name was in the comments lmao.
That sewing backwards then outside to hide the seam and raw edge is indeed the French seam
I love the idea of making something old into something new with awhole different usage. This was an awesome video keep them coming.
How awesome it was seeing this all come together! You’ve got such creative essence and vision. Thanks for sharing the process :~)

Me encanta
I guess the jackets are waterproof too?!
Oh my gosh, I LOVE the design of the patchwork jacket. 🥹❤ Reminds me of the windbreakers I had as a kid.

Part of the reason some jackets are lined is to hide the inner seems
im not a fan of pockets so far back. the best is ones that inside reaches the seam for the buttons imo
Please make and sell these, and please take my moneeeeey! ❤
