I always wanted a Camaro convertible and 2 months ago i finally bought a 2019 6 cylinder, 3LT with the RS package . New for 2019, the 3LT offers all the tech bells and whistles. The car ended up at $47k out the door . But as you point out , you don’t need to spend that for the fun. I love the car and 335 HP is pure joy. This was the power in the 8 SS not to long ago. Does anyone know why there’s fabric covering the back deck behind the rear seats when the top is up ?
I think this V6 Camaro looks great even with the standard aluminum18" wheels, only problem are the crapy tires that come with them. For an enthusiast on a budget this V6 Camaro is great value.
Glad to hear that the V6 is still a good engine in 2019! I have a 2015 with a V6 and I love it (also has no mufflers so it sounds even better). You said the transmission is still somewhat unresponsive though?
I have th same except it's the coop and the sound system for mine is amazing, it's Bose quality but it doesn't have Bose anywhere in the car, so it just might be a bad set of speakers in yours.
Thanks Chris M ! And yeah Ford went all in on the eco boost 4-cyl and got rid of the V6. The EB does put out a lot more power than the 3.7L V6 did, which is opposite of how it is with the Camaro’s more powerful V6. I really hope GM keeps the V6 in the Camaro.
Upgrade to the fully loaded 3LT coupe w/ the RS package, the 10 spd auto mated to the V6 and probably the wraparound body kit for about the same price. Money better spent over the convertible. My opinion...thx for the video.
I can attest, the Bose sound system is awesome in this car ,now I had the 9 speaker Bose system in my 2017 Malibu premier and I can tell you I don't know what GM did but the Bose system is 10 times better sounding then what it was in my Malibu.
I've always wanted to own a camaro, my problem is that I now own a fully loaded with every option that you can get in a car 2017 Malibu premier. Sticker was $36,300 ended up paying $29,700. So to get a Camaro V6 not loaded I would get the Bose, 8 inch touchscreen and the sticker price comes too $32,000. So in options I will be giving up lane keep assist-heated steering wheel- leather seats that are heated & cooled- memory seats- assist braking- blind spot monitoring- parking assist- panoramic sunroof- adaptive cruise control- wireless charging and on top of that the car can do 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds and turn the quarter mile at 14.3 seconds. So, do I get the Camaro I always wanted and give up all these options? Or keep my Malibu premier that's just as quick with lots room and options? I've been thinking this over and over get the camaro, ( BUT) the options.
I would personally go with the Camaro 100%. All those features in the Malibu are ok but they're really extremely unnecessary. Just be a good and conscientious driver and you wont need lane and parking assist. I personally like cloth seats much better than leather because of temperature comfort reasons in summer and winter. American leather also just sucks in general. Memory seats don't matter if you will be the primary driver, and its only a 10 second change anyway. Heated steering wheel again doesnt matter-why pay Chevy a couple hundred dollars when you could just use a pair of gloves for about 6 dollars if you REALLY need to because the car is already heated anyway. Again, be a good driver and you wont need assisted braking- you got by all this time without it so no reason to get it now. To me, all the extra computer stuff just created a handicap for you when you have to drive another car like when you rent a car on vacation without all the features. Bose speakers in the Camaro would be nice because sometimes you want music instead of engine noise lol. Camaro has more room for modding if thats your thing. The only feature I would miss would be the panoramic sunroof because thats just a good experience in itself in summer or winter. Winter driving might get a little sketchy in the camaro but save up for winter tires and you shouldnt have much trouble. I don't have a problem plugging my phone in every time i get in my car. in the end just make sure you follow your heart. You might lose a little convenience in the Camaro, but I would pick even a bone stock camaro over a malibu simply because of the experience and the dream. Camaro will be the car you look back at and admire every single time you park it. At least thats the case with me for my mustang. But again, think practically as well. For me, only having essentially 2 seats wasn't a big drawback since i dont drive with many people, but I have the option to take 2 more if I really need. If you drive around a lot of people, that might not be the best choice. Think practically for your personal situation but dont think too practically to the point where you convince yourself that the Camaro would be a horrible fit for you. its all about where youre willing to compromise. Let me know what you end up going with!!
If you have no NEED for a family Sedan with 4 doors.....then by all means get your Camaro!!! Life is short brother. . We often put things off until its to late and we go into the " i wish i did that" thing. Secondly....Its a Camaro....who cares about all those fancy gadgets!!

Having driven both Camaro and Mustang convertibles (rental cars) the Mustang is the better car. That top on the Camaro scares me. When and I don't mean if, but when it breaks it will be expensive. The rental took two tries to put it down, It just stopped part way down. The trunk was worthless as was the back seat. The interior was cheaper in the Camaro. Trunk in the Mustang is the same "large" size regardless where the top is. The engine and transmission simply didn't get along with each other. You would apply the gas pedal, and power didn't always accelerate smoothly, sometime it hesitated. I though I was driving a car for the late '70's.
Going to buy mine with 58.000 miles on it. It’s also from 2019 I am so excited.
I have a 2016 V6 1LT with the RS package and dual mode exhaust. I absolutely love the sound of the V6.
ls1monster thats awesome - I can’t believe how good this car sounds, must be even better with the dual mode exhaust when you get into the higher revs!
Still always amazed how a V6 these days makes the same or at times more power than V8 from a few years ago

Got my first Camaro last year. A ZL1 with the 10 sped auto. Amazing car for the price.
Martin Van Buren the ZL1 is a sick car and gives you A LOT for the money!

The V6 is a GM High Velocity engine, a series of V6 engines produced by GM
