We don't mix MMA and Ninjutsu, certainly not here. MMA is a great sport. We are not preparing competitors for the arena. MMA is a popular definition now, so when someone wants to understand and asks, what Ninjutsu is, one can answer: "Ninjutsu / Budo taijutsu is a traditional MMA". and it won't be far from the truth.
Just goes to show how much basic`s can do! "Showbo" is something anybody can wip up, but to have a solid understanding of basic Ninjutsu is a rear thing! great video:) (Go Dan)
You guys have some amazing videos, your teachers breakdowns of the techniques. The way he explains how and why they work are excellent. It's crazy to see techniques i recognise in my Xingyiquan and Shuai Jiao(chinese wrestling) practice in ninjutsu of all things. I especially see a lot of evidence of Convergent evolution in throwing techniques. I have been practicing your kicks in my SanDa training. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Cool , you guys from Akban make very good videos. Btw, I hate it when people want to compare it to UFC or something like this. Ninjutsu is a martial art, not just some sport. A true martial artist always tries to avoid conflicts and live in peace with nature. I love because it offers a great variety, not just pure force, but also training with different weapons etc
For a strong and well-rounded view, I respectfully suggest exploring the extensive materials here www.akban.org/wiki/Portal:_Ninjutsu Understanding perspectives is key.
Hira ichimonji is mainly a Kukishinden ryu stance, though not only. To find out more you can google: "Hira ichimonji no kamae, horizontal stance - Ninjutsu, AKBAN" for the AKBAN wiki article about it. Of course, the article is not complete as there are at least 5 different kata and many more henka (variation) to this stance. If you can't afford the time to search then, in a nutshell, Hira ichimonji deals with protecting oneself or a dear one against a broad angle of possible threat.
Ninja ninjitsu grand master it elevates my mental focus and my spiritual awareness and my life goals of becoming ritcher ..ninjitsu..the art elvis taykor jamaica.,,
Notice that Hanin no Kamae is the only Kamae with no Kata. When I asked Yossi Sheriff about it he said that this finger placement appears in Gyokko ryu muto dori henka.
Hey i'm new in your community, i'm suscribed i loved all your videos and i just wanted you to know that you are really cool, and you seemed to have achieved a mastery in martial arts, congratulations, i hope some day i'll be like you (:
I have always wondered about Hanin no Kamae as I haven't encountered it at either of the dojos Ive trained at, and I haven't seen it in the Kamae no Kata, Kihon Happo or the Sanshin no Kata. A very elusive stance! At a guess Id say the hand form is used to attack the eyes?
When do you actually use hira ichimonjinokamae (if thats the right spelling). "Tree stance", as i recall. The only times we use it is for a sideways roll.
It's a great kata. It would be much better if you explained each move carefully step by step because I can't be sure that I'm doing it right if I decide to make it a daily routine.
The wiki is missing many kata from kukishinden, Fudo ryu jutaijutsu and some Takagi. At the current rate of documentation we are looking at 12 more years... Thant is the problem with grassroots efforts like the AKBAN wiki - the lack of business model and money makes development slower.
@AssassinenKampfgeistUnlimited That is Okanagan karate. Ninja were more like a counter culture in Japan that then over many 100s of years became part of the society.
this is an interesting type of martial arts, and i hate it when ppl compare martial arts to ufc... like seriously, try using ufc techniques against someone with a knife, u may get a few kicks and punches in but youll bleed out very quickly
Dumb question, I notice your Gi top is very thick compared to most i see in your art, Is it a Jujitsu gi top basically or more like a heavy weight Karate gi ? can you link to where i can find one simular maybe or something ?
+AKBAN no worries , I teach jujitsu lol . that's how I spotted it being a bit thinker than most gi's I noticed in other ninjutsu videos . just wanted to confirm. I have a bunch of of jits gis
jandos jandosov Hi, sorry for the late reply... I recorded rhe drumming inside our Dojo- it was played on a big box made of wood that we found there :) In my channel you can find a bit more drum music and if you visit Berlin you can come to train with us. (I teach at our Berlin Akban school)
Some of the kicks are slow and won’t deliver much power, I don’t fight with anger, rather I transfer that powerful energy to my hands, feet, elbows, knees, and even head. So when I hit someone the power is much greater. Besides that, the stances are good and sturdy.
You have clearly never been hit by one!!!! There is a reason his partner flies through the air after getting kicked and he is not jumping! On top of that he is kicking him softly so as not to hurt him.
At 0:08 I thought he said 'hentai' lol. Anyways, awesome demonstration!

Very different from Okinawan Karate....It looks more like learning and practicing practical Wazas....It's the first time I see that Ninjitsu has Katas.... Traditional Jiu Jitsu has a few katas, too, but they are more like Wazas that "are not strung" together like in Okinawan Karate, or Chinese Kung Fu / Tai Chi and other traditional Chinese arts.
I am not sure you understood what you saw. This video is a combination of a LOT of katas. Our Katas are mostly very short, two person dances. Most are about 5 moves long or less.
@@AkbanOrg I am out of the loop. You say, "was". Is he dead or did something happen? I truly hope not! Yes, I learned a lot in my small amount of training with him.
This kata sequence is for us the bread and butter thing and we do this every day. We are mighty glad that practitioners find this useful.
Thank you akban. The music is awesome.

Thank you Sensei for your time and investment in these videos...they are such excellent training resources!

It's very nice. but how can you mix two martial arts such as mma and ninjutsu .. won't that be a distraction .. nice video
Thanks!
Dears, do you sell some kind of video training? Because people in other countries would benefit from learning from such a skilled practitioners..

I suspect it might have something to do with the use of Tengu masks.

Kamae (stances) rather than kata (sequences) but each has a sequence attached, they just aren't practiced as kata 😀
great vid... i want to learn more about this art... >.

not for fights, for heart
With all the internet censorship that might happen it would be cool if AKBAN did a full down-loadable ninjutsu wiki.

for everyone who doesn't know, ninjutsu was never a martial art. it was only an art of stealth.

some kamae aren't traditional. is it really necessary to use other martial art stances and mix them with ninjutsu? I think not.

I cannot understand the usage of Hanni No Kamae in battle.
seriously, neither do we.
Hanni no kamae the hand sign means good luck, releases the oni spirits that guard each ninjutsu Practitioner.
