This is the best pad holder design out there! I did modify it a little in that I made a pocket inside the back cover so that the pad could be replaced and I didn’t put on an inside pad cover. The other thing I did is I took scraps of my paper and covered the tops of the pads and sent extra pads with them. Thanks May for another great tutorial!
This is such a fantastic idea. Especially the cardboard back. I've done these before using just the cardstock, this will be so much sturdier. Thank you.
I don’t know if I ever commented on this but I meant to. I used this for our craft night. I get all the ladies and little girls in my family together and we craft. We did this a couple months ago and they are still talking about it! Thank you for such a fun idea!
Lovely and you're a great teacher. I would(will) add packaging tape to the inside flap, before cutting for the pen holder so the pen holder won't tear or get worn easily. No one will see it, but it will strengthen that cardstock for that little pen holder. Also, an easy solution to that cardboard showing under the pen holder is washi tape. Just stick a piece under there before securing the cover.
I also went one step further and made a slip pocket in the back of the legal pad. My pad was 8 x 5, so I cut my card stock 5.5 x 5. I scored my card stock 1/4 on each side, used a really good tape on each side and placed it on the back.
I recently found your channel and I love love it. I am addicted now. I was soooo amazed at your willingness to share the Word of God with your online family. I also love your projects and the way you present them. Your voice is so kind and enjoying to hear. Your projects are so much fun to create and make my own design. God bless you and yours greatly. Praying for you.
This is so blasted adorable!!!! Plus easy enough to make. Probably whip out 6-12 of them in an afternoon or evening. Love the matching pen and adding the cardboard for sturdiness. Your cardboard reminded of Masonite. Thank you for yet another ideal last minute Christmas gift from the heart. This got me thinking about one of the ladies Biblestudy groups I attend. Now I'm wanting to make these for each lady. Notepad, journal notes, prayer requests and on and on....
Maymay years ago when I first saw this video I made so many of these for gifts & everyone loved them. Over the past few months those that were recipents have asked me if I still make them. So I guess I will be making them again. Thanks for another great idea.
You do one heck of a super job in your tutorials. Love ever thing you make. It definitely takes a designer's eye ro put together all the colors & designs so that they pop! Especially getting things on straight. Drives me crazy! Thank you for all the projects you have given us.
I have watched lots of these videos about making a cover for a note pad and this is the best one, your instruction enables me to follow you while you are making your cover and I can stop and start till its finished. thank you for sharing
I love making these. Im glad you added the back piece to it. Is there anyway you could do this for the dollar tree chunky note books. 150 sheets 4 x 6 inches.
You are ABSOLUTELY amazing. So blessed to have such a talented, caring person in my life to give me ideas to make and share. Thank You my sweet friend. Blessings ALWAYS
I've made several of these, but never thought of the sturdy backing. What a great idea! Mine will be like that from now on. Thanks, Maymay, for the well explained video! You are a great teacher!
Love watching your videos. You're always very enthusiastic! And excited about what you're making. I want to make tgis, but I might not make the flap that covers paper.
So fun! I've made lots of legal pad covers but never one like this. I can't wait to make one for myself and more for gifts! Thank you for the great tutorial!
I appreciate that you are prepared with all your materials and can explain things in a way that is easy to understand. Is it possible to construct this so that the legal pad can be replaced once it’s used up? I would hate to discard the journal when it’s full. This journal is very cute and whoever received it would be very impressed. Thank you.
Love this project. Maymay you are awesome. I'm going to made several of these for my church, but I'm going to put a long pocket in the back so that it will be easy to change the pad once it's full.
I was thinking of doing something like that as well to change the pad. Also covering with contact paper. Just an extra step. Christmas gifts for my co-workers. I love this and I appreciate Maymay for doing such an Awesome job with her instruction.
Wow absolutely stunning!!! You make things that I NEVER thought I could do......possible!! You are the best teacher ever! Amazing! I can not wait to try this
I just love that you take a craft using paper to make a gift idea! I also appreciate that you give such great tips that it should be logical like scoring the edges to make a fold easier and when folding using your table to assist. That should be something we should think logically but we don't, you make it so simple!! That's why I love your videos, not to mention both you and Vinnie are just darling together ♥ Have a blessed Holiday and may you prosper in the New Year!
