Every anime watcher shits on dubs but I think there are some very caring people in some studios trying to get the best voice acting out of English audio like the Naruto dub voice director and even the SpyxFamily dub director. I feel like sometimes dubs can be really good for English speakers who want to enjoy the artwork without having to read a novel.
Do they really? Sounds pretentious and unreasonable. Truly, if you love language and just the art you gotta admit, if you’re being honest and discerning, that sometimes the sub is better, sometimes the dub.
@@charissanomdeplume6475yea honestly just depends on preference but also who is doing the dub, if the voices fits there characters, and if they care like they have the passion/emotion the character supposed to show. I honestly always prefer english but only cause i feel it more, i like the subs and like how japanese va sounds but cause i don’t understand there languages it doesn’t resonate with me how english does

I thought the dub was great. The main three voice actors felt pretty spot-on to me.
I go back and forth between dub or sub. I like the way Japanese sounds just as a language. I prefer the dub on this, especially for Loid and Anya’s voice actors. 💛

I'm a Japanese living in the USA, so I can watch in Japanese. But American voice acters are so great like her. I love and enjoy English version, too. Spy x Family and Demon Slayers English dob is excellent!

I'm only watching in the dubbed version when it's possible for anime, they are really talented and they always fit the character's voices ! And I can improve my english or german oral comprehension thanks to them !! YOU ARE AMAZING !!!
Im a simple person. If the dub matches the character and expression, then i am invested.
I like the dub so far but I would have preferred bit more sharper VA for Loid, Anya is just fine, Yor is great while best so is of Headmaster which sounds simply elegant!

I think Anya sounds too old in the dub versions. Japanese Anya sounds younger/age appropriate

They keep the same substance of original dub. As a sub stan, listening to english dub is kinda dumb but this one is not bad at all

The dub artists are amazing. But please guys create your own dialogues. A lot of times it feels like Dub artists were just made to speak the Subs from Japanese version. And it literally feels off. Look at Naruto. They created their own dialogues that may cater and easily digestable to English audiences. ❤❤❤❤

Adaptive script writing is an art, and a very challenging one at that. Plus, they are limited by what the Japanese publishers allow them to do with their source material.
I am sorry. Nothing can beat the japanese original dubbing.

Dub of Spy X Family isn't actually that bad. I mean i've seen far worse dubs but this is atleast watchable. But i'll prefer Sub unless i wanna watch Dub for the memes.

US Loid and Yor still needs more inflection. US Loid sounds too bored with his life, like he's going on retirement while US Yor sounds trying to be cute when Yor is just naive, not a teenager.

I'm totally fine with both performances. It's just that you're not really into spy films and TV shows.
This is not your typical spy show. If you read the manga, you'd know the Japanese VAs are PERFECT for their roles.
And that's they have 'Spy Wars' show within their world for the typical spy action tropes in old movies.
Agreed about the US Loid. It's not deep enough for me and it sounds so... idk, Eguchi (Japanese VA) managed to capture both the Twilight and Loid Forger personas in his voice acting. US Loid still sounds like a regular guy in spy persona and the voice acting can be very dry. Haven't heard enough of US Yor to comment on her voice acting. I'm fine with US Anya though, it's okay, it's good.

It's not easy to get child voice actors to do these certain roles well. That's why most of Anya voice acting is voiced by female voice actors. And literally Megan did a great job voice in a 4 or 8-year-old
