Hard mode...without playing tutorial..And I misnamed the mission name 3 years ago =.=
(I did played the original World In Conflict but in normal mode long long time ago.Hard mode is really difficult for me, plus without any refreshment course, to complete ALL objectives ASAP)

This game is criminally underrated. The acting (on the whole) is great. The motion capture superb. Outstanding story. Hell, even Alec Baldwin did an absolute beast of a job narrating the American campaign, and I'm not a fan of his. Sadly this is, in my opinion, the final good RTS of the gaming golden age that lasted from 1997-2012.
Yeah. It's a timeless piece of game. We will probably never get something like that ever again.

@@MrSpamaccount according to some comment I read 2-4 years ago, WiC was going to have more soviet missions and chinese missions aswell. But Ubisoft pushed the release date too early and they had to cut almost half of the development.

As a Finn I can. The trick is to wither the spearhead, after that the terrifying things start befalling on the aggressor.
Stål Handske As a Finn it would seem you have more experience on this matter. We here in the United States are used to having the upper hand and have not yet faced a Soviet style invasion.
As mentioned by Stal, the idea is to blunt the spear, and then attack the sides. As much as I hate to say this: The force in West Berlin had always been told that you were likely to last only about three days before being overrun, but it was expected that they'd be able to hold up at the very least a few divisions or even cause a few East German units to desert and join them.
In ' 89 it might have been scary, today not as much. Not saying the Russian should be taken lightly, just that it's not 1989 anymore. After the 90s Russian military might wasn't the beast it was in the 70s/80s.

If the cold war would really escalate into war in the real world then the Soviets and the Warsaw Pact would push NATO and the Americans to the sea in just 1 month due to the russian's heavy numerical supeiority of soldiers, armored fighting vehicles, and tanks.
As a Russian person, I will tell you the truth: How would the Soviet Union ever defeat NATO when the Russian Air Force is unable to control the airspace over South Ossetia, Georgia or the Ukraine and the Russian Army has the exact same obsolete military equipment that Saddam Hussein used during the two Gulf Wars ( T-72 tanks and BMP infantry fighting vehicles ) which is the same military equipment that the Soviet Union also used! If you know anything about the history of Marxism-Leninism in Eastern Europe then you would know about how the East German DDR Communists were always busy removing the poisonous asbestos from inside the BMP-1A1 vehicles and the other Warsaw Pact countries that were not DDR Communist East Germany never removed the poisonous asbestos from inside the Soviet manufactured BMP-1A1 vehicles (the Czech BMP and the Hungarian BMP and the Polish BMP still had the Soviet asbestos fibers inside the vehicles).

I bet my life: the Soviet Union would have won (NON-NUCLEAR) world war III against NATO.
Nope, the various commands in Europe are to immediately launch tac-nukes upon a soviet breakthrough. Every Soviet plan into NATO territory has chemical strikes as standard, response to that is essentially cans of sunshine.
That doesn't even include the French 'nuke anything that is PACT' plan once the PACT roll past the Rhine.
The Soviets only had a three month advantage (more if they can somehow bypass the largest navies in the world and sink the convoys) at most. Once those three months are up, their weaknesses will be revealed in force.
There will be no winner in WWIII. World in Conflict is assuming that the leadership of the two sides are patient enough to not touch the nuclear football. And besides, what do you think will happen if you push on any one of the nuclear capable countries too far?
Interesting enough when the Cuban missile crisis occurred the US had 4 nuke to one ratio against the Soviet Union, and that doesn't count the UK's or Frances stockpile either. That is a reason why the Soviet Union wanted to use Cuba because they saw it as a means to keep the US in check from making the first move.
By the time period of this game that was very unlikely. The power of the Red Army was heavily overstated (both in the Soviet Bloc itself by leaders that feared looking weak and in the West by hawkish leaders who wanted to increase defense spending). Without great amounts of luck the Soviet offensive would have gotten bogged down by the prepare NATO defenses in West Germany and cut to pieces by the (on average) superior NATO weapon systems and better trained (again on average) troops once denied the speed and maneuverability that their strictly adhered to doctrine required. By the time NATO started worrying about running out of high tech weapons and ammunition, the Soviets would be down to T-55s crewed by increasingly old and rusty conscripts making such advanced weapons unnecessary.

any good strategy game players uses bookmarks or unit groupings. i know it's almost 5 years since you uploaded this but you should practice using those shortcut numbers to execute orders more fluidly. this game in terms of micromanagement is actually far more easier compare to starcraft.

I downloaded WiC and played without queuing the Soviet Assault download and I have a black screen, and I think it's because I started up a campaign and games before downloading WiC: Soviet Assault

Weisswurstesser when I was first playing it I noticed that Malashenko sounds pretty much authentic - in contrast to the others - to my "Russian-speaking ear." I've checked on imdb and it transpired that voice actor (Mark Ivanir) was born in USSR.
