No matter how disjointed it may seem to be I'm still going to watch it and give it a thumbs up. This is hands down my favorite tree channel and I watch all of them.
Buckin Billy Ray is awesome too, and if not for him I might not know Reg. What a blessing to find him and I feel a lot the same. Reg makes it loo so easy, like any true master can.
You said in your last vid about struggling to find motivation for entertainment videos , your videos although entertaining are also educational and inspiring. Thank you for taking the time and effort. Warrington UK
The man who gave me the belief I could overcome my fear of heights and learn to climb.. I'm deeply grateful to guys such as August, Jacob and especially yourself Mr.coates.
I know from old/recent videos you have showed disinterest in filming the mundane and boring side of tree cutting but i honestly think i speak for everybody when i say that we will watch everything you post. It is super fuckin intertesting and definetly something cool to watch, i hope you dont give up on this because it is awesome and we will make you a millionaire from this "repetitive content" -said by you
I could watch hours of the "mundane" footage and it would still leave me wanting more. Your video about fear really helped me last week. I found myself going higher than before and trusting my gear more as well. Made it easier to venture into the unknown. Thanks Reg. Its an honour to have such an experienced mentor. Even if it is only virtually. ;)
Reg, this was a great video. You’re way to hard on yourself for thinking you don’t have good footage. Keep on doing this at this level and we will keep watching. Fantastic stuff as always.
Hey bud your everywhere on line lol talked to other day on the iron horse . Keep making content iv Ben thinking about getting a camera an starting to do some stuff I climb as well but il be straight up I’m no reg coats up there he make it seem so effortless lol I’d have dirty underwear climbing some the stuff he does lol
@@scotttam7491 hey man! You should definitely start recording your work! Editing is still something I’m getting used too. But I agree. Reg is definitely THE man. Ive learned a lot from him.
I think you made the right choice just slashing it down and making everything manageable for your man Dave to just get in and grab what he can between cuts.
Watching your videos is so relaxing for some reason, I don’t know why. Also I also enjoy the spacey music coupled with the higher climbing, it’s like some sci-fi other world up there.
Hi reg, as a fellow Brit who used to work in the sawmill trade and fell occasional trees, not top roping like what you do, but you do a brill job and good commenting on how to assess the situation..Well done!
Well done Reg. I appreciate you taking the time to make and post up this video. When you first started up the Fir I couldn't help but smile thinking of how many times I have had to climb through the tangle of limbs from nearby trees just to get started with a job. Hope that tooth feels better. Thank you and keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤️🌲 Randy
Hey Reg, sorry your tooth is bothering you. Just something else to distract you from the job at hand. Frustrating. I've been dealing with a broken tooth for a few months now and I take a ton of tylenol and ibuprofen. It's a terrible idea but it's been holding me over until I can get something done about it. This is NOT one of the "worst vidoes you've ever made". Every time you upload a video, tree guys around the world tune in to watch it no matter what. You're THE OG tree guy. Hope you get to feeling better. Greeting from Tennessee, US.
Get yourself to the tooth fairy, Reg! A nagging toothache is one of the worst of pains. The sound of the 'leckrick saw is not at all irritating. In fact, it's quite relaxing not having a saw sounding like an enraged hornet at close quarters!
@14:20 the saw dust in the sun light is pure art..Just watching you work on this tree is also pure art. Very calming. Hope your tooth is better Reg. Nothing worse than having to work with tooth pain.
All the time and work you put in to your videos is much appreciated . I always gain knowledge and insight. The smooth methodical efficiency you demonstrate is amazing.
I have missed your videos, always in awe of your knowledge, skill, not fearing heights and the views you get to enjoy at the top. What seems mundane and normal to you isn't to me (electric chainsaw = how many batteries does he take up the tree with him, how long do they last, I bet it's better than petrol running down your leg, did it take him long to adjust to using an electric chainsaw, how long does the chain stay sharp, does he sharpen them himself etc etc). Glad you're back! BTW go to a dentist, I faced that fear earlier in the year and it was worth it... and the money 🙂
Thanks..love the videos .. new to me bern climbing a while just not with the fancy gear till now got srt setup and monkey beaver saddle. Work my ass off .im learning on My own i am ar peace in the trees.
Being that I worked hard and tried to keep a professional manner up , I do like seeing a professional apply his craft. Great video getting the job done and filming it. I like that you do a scan around the horizon
Man, it's so nice just sitting in the harness throughout the limb removal. Once I've put a high tie in point, I know in my head, this tree now belongs to me. I can do whatever I want to it.
Oil of Cloves helps ease a painful tooth , you can keep a small bottle of that in your med kit . It also has antiseptic properties so helps reduce any underlying infection . All the best Reg .
@@ishure8849 I haven't used it for years although I have some at home "in case" , I worked at sea for many years and we kept some in the med kit on board most vessels I worked on , it's not a fix of course but will help the sufferer until proper care can be had . I quite like the smell of Eucalyptus oil , probably helps keep flies and mosquitoes away too 🙂
Sometimes less is more when it comes to rigging. I like to zip things in 2 scenarios: 1) If I can cut out a lot of tricky terrain by doing so. 2) If it's a bit breezy and I need the control. Great video man, I appreciate the effort put into it.
Calm and focused, that's RC. One of the most interesting arborist on the channel. Sorry to hear of your tooth pain, never any fun. Thanks for the video.
Keep on making video Reg. I watch it like the way I watch the discovery channel. One day perhaps you can consider packaging it all together into a collection. I would totally buy the DVD or whatever format it comes in.
Hey reg great to see a vid I’m sure you Ben super busy with your new products. I can’t wait to try it out. At first I’m like idk about the handle but I’m sure it goin to be great it seems to work well for you in this vid

All in all Not a bad video Reg , you did a good job editing , and the music was a good fit . Ive had 10 root canals and Nothing sucks worse then a tooth ache .
I love the video I know how painful tooth and nagging tooth pain can be is that new device you're climbing with that you're trying to develop thank you for showing us that was definitely a tricky looking tree
Tooth ache Reg man. Hate that man. Hope it feels better. I know a toothache can bring a grown man to his knees. Makes you wanna just take pliers and snatch it out. Clove oil and when the pain hits let it hurt instead of resisting it. Just bare it long enough to wear all of a sudden it will ease away and not come back for a while. Hope that helps! Also love the look of that device! 💪🏼🙏🏼
I say about the same things during pre-climb planning often. My version is,
“I’ll go up there and see what happens.”

This is a very peaceful video with the visuals, the periodic saw sound, and the occasional voice. Quite a composition!

Never a boring video with you climbing Reg!! Keep up the good work brother!
Hey Reg, I really appreciate the sense of quiet you bring to your work. Hope that makes sense, it’s helped me a lot. Thank ya sir!
Quiet communication, a bit of praise ,watching out for your mate , a lot of people should learn from that .really good stuff

Yes - it was worth it - well worth it. Much rather see this than any amount of boyz-havin-fun banter-as-entertainment confection. Thanks, Reg.
