While watching the pre - look at the job and saw that tree on the hill side, I think I would have used the winch with the pulley way up top and brought the work line to 3/4 way up the tree and cranked on the winch and let the tension take it up hill when it was cut. And it also wold have pulled it closer to the hedge. Just thinking out loud. Do you think that would have worked out?

Still watching just wanted to comment about not backing the chipper around the corner. A front receiver makes that possible. It takes a minute to unhook and rehook but when talking about all the back and fourths for those trees it’s well worth it. Not something most think about, but especially with single axel chipper it’s just silly what you can do with it set up that way. You get into enough tight job sites to justify it.
All consuming pain, remember I had a tooth pulled and it was funny holding it in my fingers thinking “this little thing, causing me all that turmoil!’ Relief
Ready for a good true story? I slammed a finger in a car door and there was blood buildup under my nail. It really throbbed with pain. Went to the doc & he pulled out an alcohol lamp a paper clip, which he straightened out. I said "you're not going to do what I think you are, are you? " He said "you won't feel a thing, lay your hand out flat". He heated the tip of the paperclip red hot, and pressed it into the fingernail while spinning between his thumb & forefinger. In less than a second, it had melted through, and as the blood spurted out, the tip instantly cooled. The pain was totally gone in that instant! He then told me, "I lose a lot of patients this way". He was to doctoring, what Reg is to treework. I was incredibly sad when he retired 😢
