Very useful. Thanks a lot. I think you might have spent a bit more time on the 'File Naming.' I don't doubt that I have a few different images in storage which have the same 'Leica-generated' file name. Lightroom will ask "Do you want to save BOTH images with the same file name? If not, we're going to delete one of them." No, I want to save both images; they're different. My ignorance of Leica's file-naming may have cost me a few photos over the years.
When LR Classic imports images that appear to have the same file names as previous images you should get the option to overwrite (not good), skip (not good) or create unique file name. This appends a suffix and voila you have a new name. Or, as I recommend in my LRc Library module E-course, change file names on import to something logical. Also, starting at L1000001 means you can shoot 100 million images before running out of numbers! Should be enough.
The Status LED on the camera's rear shows that the camera is accessing the memory card and therefore should not be powered down. You can disable this if you find it is obtrusive.
Such a shame to spoil a beautiful camera with live view and touch screen, also imagine using a dreadful EVF when you have a lovely clear optical viewfinder.
Hi Stephen. They are simply tools to be used - or not. Sometimes the EVF/Liveview is exactly what you need, I have used M240 and the M10 for landscapes and having the tilting EVF is a great way to work on a tripod. Also the Visofex adds GPS data too, very handy sometimes.
Really helpful for someone who's never used a digital Leica before.
Glad it was helpful.
Once again, thank you Nick. Excellent suggestions.
My pleasure!
Thanks Nick! Leica Australia does these tutorials well. Very helpful.
Great to hear!
Thank you for guiding us through the menu. Very helpful while waiting for the delivery of mine:)
Glad it was helpful!
Nice one Nick. Looking forward to more photos from the M10-R!
Thanks Kwok.
Hello, what are the settings for the exposure compensation?
Exposure Compensation is best set using the thumbwheel. You will have to enable this in the menus.
Any chance that the M10-R will have its menu layout updated to look the same as the menus on Q2 and SL2s?
i hope so :)
You pictures are amazing!!!
Too kind!
Hi. Can I download the interface of leica m 11 to leica m10-r ?
No, sorry. The Firmware is specific to the camera.
@@LeicaCameraAustralia ok. Thank you 🙏

@@LeicaCameraAustralia , thanks very much. I wish I'd known that about 100 million images ago. :-)
Can you remove the red dot and have top plate engraving like on M10-P?
You's have to speak to Customer Care about that. Extensive customisations are possible.
Helpful, thanks.
You're welcome!
YOu keep skipping the LED part lol. What does that do? Thank you
Which part? Not sure what you are referring to...
@@LeicaCameraAustralia Under Casumize Control, LED Inable/Disable. What does that do? I don't see a difference on either setting.
