Taking this class right now with Mr. Bushman...AWESOME teacher! This class is hard at first, but very worth it. We started with 25 or 29 people (Veterans) and now are down to 14 people at LATTC in Los Angeles. Great vid man!!!
I start the program this august. I have my cdl luckily, so looking forward to sign the books in this state (47 & 1245) & others out of state. Any advice?
@@PLEBEJones We’re learning at a steady pace & our professors are knowledgeable veteran lineman who are helpful so it’s going good. I recommend LATTC if ur interested
Take the required classes at Trade Tech: ECONMT 116 - Hand Tools and Wiring Practices and ECONMT 119 - Electrical Calculations and Measurements. I would recommend you take ECONMT 115 - DC Fundamentals to learn electrical theory. Take these classes with Professor David Robinson. He's strict but very good and clear. He will help you out as long as you show dedication and hard work. Try to enroll now for some free or 1 credit class to have priority registration in Spring of 2014. Good Luck!
There are required classes before you can try to sign up for this program at Trade-Tech. And unfortunately, Professor Ken Bushman is retiring at the end of the year. This Fall of 2014 will be his last semester teaching this class!
+reyin76 how long are the classes can you finish them in 2 sessions??( in summer ) to make it in time for Fall when the Powerline class begins . p.s Can you bring your own climbing gear/tools? I know you pay for the gear you use but I was wondering if you could bring your own equipment.
i'm going to school on August at LATTC. Does anybody know any stores in Los Angeles or near the East Los Angeles area where i can get power lineman equipment and supplies. From what the staff infromed me. I would be told all that I need to know in the first day of class, but I what to be some what prepared.
