Goodness, I'm thinking back to the videos of little Onyx learning how to drive the tractor pulling the grain cart, and one with mom in the buddy seat with him, giving him encouragement about how well he's doing, telling him that he should have sunglasses on. 😊 My how times are a changing. Everything all together, all at once, farming, racing, and family. They all go together. Onyx, you're a fortunate young man to have all the knowledge, experience, support, and wisdom that only comes from a grandpa. It may be difficult to grasp right now, but lean into that knowledge and wisdom. Someday, you will look back and hear the words of your grandpa and dad coming back to you as you deal with your own family and children. Oh, this is going to sound really cheesey, but always tell your parents and grandparents you love them.
@SK_2019 I remember vividly clashing with my parents in my teenage years, totally my fault, I thought I knew everything. My grandparents lived close enough for me to drive over, and I could talk about things with them. No conflict with them. Realizing that they raised five children, boys and girls, they had already been through the same difficulties with their children I was experiencing. I don't know for sure why their advice to me always made sense, but it did, and it was generally the same thing my parents were saying. Maybe it was just to emotionally charged with mom and dad, I was determined to be independent. I'm so grateful for them. I have grandma's antique buffet in my dining room. Nobody else wanted it. The finish isn't the best, and there's water stains all over the top from her African violets, she loved them. The drawers are filled with all of her fine needlework. I can stand by it, see those stains and I'm right there, back in her dining room talking with her. The linens and needlework are packed inside so tightly when you open a drawer it still smells like their house. Precious memories, every child should be so lucky.
My grandson started rodeoing 3 years ago. It appears to be a lot like racing. Lots of expenses, lots of travel, lots of fun, and lots of good food and friendship.
It's amazing to watch Onyx progress on track. Was not long ago he looked like he was just riding around out there and not fighting for positions. Now he is getting the car up there and in them battles for position and really throwing the car in there..
Good job Onyx. You brought the car home in one piece and are gaining great experience driving the right way. Keep listening to your Dad and one day maybe we'll see u on Sunday's driving a cup car.
Thanks for another great video Zach. Really good video about racing. Onyx you are doing great. Keep at it. You got the touch. Hang in there. Sorry about your motor blowing up. Hang in there Zach. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy.
You should come check out the Owosso Speedway in Owosso Michigan.....just. Celebrated 85th opening night .....new owner, big upgrades, better purses .....you and onyx need to come play
It's no fun if it's your own engine either. I'll never forget my partners coming back from a race I couldn't be at and saying " were not going to run the 468 any more this year. " and of course I had to ask why, they said that it was now a 410, and had an oiling problem. Took out a major piece of the block, and a large piece of the pan.
Onyx seems pretty in tune with his car. It's impressive that a guy that young is paying attention to so many things and still runs with the older guys.
Really am enjoying watching your racing videos! Onyx is really coming along and doing a very good job especially for his age and seat time. Hated to see Zack have the engine go up in smoke on him. Racing atevery level is avery humbling sport. Thanks for sharing these with us. How about Kirk Cousins is he staying a Viking or moving on?
Thats just a bummer ZACH putting a leg out of bed mate. Depending on the other internal damage to it the block can be repaired if needed. ONYX is as Ive said before getting better with every bit of seat time. I think we will see a completely different ONYX in 12mts time.
Randy got hold of some Double Yolk Eggs?😊 1:30 and DOT5 silicone brake fluid doesn't absorb moisture and boil in service, even at racing temperatures 3:50
Y'all have had on hell of a weekend I've done shows like that I did Dickson Tennessee last year replaced the traning in one truck the first night show and dya for day 2 steering rams and blew a motor
No worse feeling than when you window a block, a lot of scrambling and long nights coming up. Hopefully the damage was kept to a minimum and didn't take out the crank or hurt the head.
Onyx way better in the second race...first one cars gone do what cars do......But second Race you were scrapin. Way to fight and as your dad said you were find the right lines......a couple of turkeys pushed you off but you saved it.......WAY TO GO SON!!!! You will just get better and better. Like anything it is a repetitions in the seat. You can already see it!
Having been on the flag stand down in Jackson Minnesota very obvious to me that that flag man out there in Arizona should have started using the Black flag on those drivers that were jerking around on the start Onyx is doing a great job it's great to see him working on the race car and learning that part of the deal along with driving it's going to make them just that much better of a race car driver
Is Onix running in an age class or a car / motor class ? very good job to you both , one break a motor and the other do his best to save the family name ! Lol !
You Say "Cojones Deep" if I'm assuming Correctly... Use Polish, Use Yiddish, they can't do Automatic Censorship on exotic language very easily. Might get tattled on manually later. 😉 7:14
Sorry about the engine Zach. Onyx is improving each race, good to see father and son out there racing.
Engines fail alot more in racing.

Ditto..... 💯🔥🔥🔥 team Johnson -- Grandpa, Dad and Onyx,.... family ❤🌠

Man that Randy is one handy guy to have around! Pit crew, cook, comic relief, and he lays some mean pipe! Is there anything he can't do?
He sure does know how to lay the pipe 😂.
Welding an engine block? :D
Great race Onyx ,drive it like you stole it.
That Minnesota based Red Baron frozen pizza is racing fuel for the body, and Kenny Schrader approved...
My grandson started rodeoing 3 years ago. It appears to be a lot like racing. Lots of expenses, lots of travel, lots of fun, and lots of good food and friendship.
"It wasn't me. I can tell you that."
Gotta love his say it with conviction...
Onyz looked good that last race. Seeing improvement each time! Great job guys!
It's amazing to watch Onyx progress on track. Was not long ago he looked like he was just riding around out there and not fighting for positions. Now he is getting the car up there and in them battles for position and really throwing the car in there..
It's cool to see how good Onyx is now. Give him 10 years, and that kid is going to unbeatable!
Good job Onyx. You brought the car home in one piece and are gaining great experience driving the right way. Keep listening to your Dad and one day maybe we'll see u on Sunday's driving a cup car.
Onyx hold your head high bud. You were putting it on them. You're dad is right nothing that happened is on you.
You were great!
Thanks for another great video Zach.
Really good video about racing.
Onyx you are doing great. Keep at it. You got the touch. Hang in there.
Sorry about your motor blowing up.
Hang in there Zach.
Thanks. The Iowa farm boy.
Fantastic to see Onyx doing well, he's a smart young fella he'll only get better.
Great job Onyx! Getting better with each race!
It’s so cool that Onyx races big cars I want to be a race car driver for wissoda when I’m old enough
You should come check out the Owosso Speedway in Owosso Michigan.....just. Celebrated 85th opening night .....new owner, big upgrades, better purses .....you and onyx need to come play
Nice job onyx. Even when. Guys were crowding you , you kept it clean
It's never fun blowing up someone else's motor. It's awesome to see Onyx getting some seat time. He's going to get it figured out and be crazy fast.
It's no fun if it's your own engine either. I'll never forget my partners coming back from a race I couldn't be at and saying " were not going to run the 468 any more this year. Guys, great video, better luck next race. Randy wearing sunglasses at night just means he has had a fun day... 😂
Looks like fun, no matter the results!
Glad to see Grandpa was able to make it to cheer onyx on and watch over you Zach 😄😂
i think he had less of a drive then Zach and the crew as he goes south for the winter :P
Great racing in that last heat Onyx !
You can see the confidence growing each race great race Onyx.
Onyx is doing great. Improving with every race. His knowledge of the car and what is wrong is only going to get better. Go get em Onyx.
Looking good Onyx
love hearing Zach cheering on Onyx in the stands!
That's a real bummer the engine decided to leave the chat. Wishing everyone the best of luck.
That last heat Onyx was really driving good.
Great racing Onyx
Randy with the shades at night 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for oiling the track!
Onyx seems pretty in tune with his car. It's impressive that a guy that young is paying attention to so many things and still runs with the older guys.
I would like to see what your boy is doing in ten years.
Wow awesome racing both of you 💪💪🍺🍺
Good racing guys, love seeing all the action!!
dident know that you had this channel, until you talket about it on Life Wide Open.
The kid can give his dad run for sure good for him
Winning is sweet. Racing is fun!
thank you
good work Onyx
"Go balls deep" I'm sure Mom loved that one. :)
"Rocky mountain Oysters."😉 7:14
depth Gauges!! 😂 7:14
Onyx is beginning to get it. Hope he has the car to get him where he wants to be; in the front.
Really am enjoying watching your racing videos! Onyx is really coming along and doing a very good job especially for his age and seat time. Hated to see Zack have the engine go up in smoke on him. Racing atevery level is avery humbling sport. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Couple recycled pop cans and JB weld will fix that right up
Y'all have had on hell of a weekend I've done shows like that I did Dickson Tennessee last year replaced the traning in one truck the first night show and dya for day 2 steering rams and blew a motor
Onyx did a great job.just needsmore seat time t o learn about tracks.
No worse feeling than when you window a block, a lot of scrambling and long nights coming up. Hopefully the damage was kept to a minimum and didn't take out the crank or hurt the head.
An hour from coming in the pits to pulling out. Nbd
You need Crew Radios! 14:40
Bruhhh, the other mod drivers were absolutely unhinged lol
Sorry about your luck on the engine Zac.
onyx your brilliant for your age i love thes videos
Onyx way better in the second race...first one cars gone do what cars do......But second Race you were scrapin. Way to fight and as your dad said you were find the right lines......a couple of turkeys pushed you off but you saved it.......WAY TO GO SON!!!! You will just get better and better.

Cherokee Code Talkers! 12:36
Pro tip. You can use JB Weld to fill that hole right up. 😂
Nice run onyx. Zach your engine was just trying to reduce weight to offset what you put on from Randy's cooking

Prob spit a rocker causing Rod to break where and how it did? Curious to find out what it or what happened completely when u tear it down
Here from Millennial Farmer
It's fun watching the racing onyx es😢
Especially
Hey & fam you know sometimes I just come for the jokes 😂😂
Now Becky needs to drive the cars 😁
Ron Krog is everywhere
I am soooooooo hoping you bring the SLM to the Dream.
Grandpas wisdom. Was it fun? It looked fun.
When it's no longer fun. Sell it all.
Love the game vids but these are fun
Is Onix running in an age class
or a car / motor class ?
very good job to you both ,
one break a motor and the other do his best to save the family name ! Lol !
it's classified by car, he is in a limited mod, if I remember correctly his car has between 300 - 400 hp
Hey Zach I would love to see you in a late model at eldora for the million
I'd love to, but I don't own a car or an engine big enough to keep up with those boys!
Time to break out the jb weld
Are you still in CasaGrande?...I'm 18 min from there for the week...
Oh I know that engine situation
Geez, is Donny having Allen B build his motors again?..
is randy available for catering? for one person...in pa...? maybe one sunday a month?
Kid is not lacking in aggressiveness. Zach teaching onyx race track language too lol
That's a big ouch!!! Sorry guys
why don't you use vacuum bleeding method on breaks?
My way is quick, easy, clean, and doesn't require carrying a Mity-Vac in the trailer. As they say, "if it ain't broke..." Thanks for watching!
Is that Racing Ron Krog on the PA ?
Sure is!
@@betweentherows He’s a long way from Wee Town !
Is that the track that started out as West Valley? It was next to a drag strip??
You don't have a spare engine stashed in that trailer, I'm assuming...😊 6:19
Are these racing drivers all youngsters in Onyx race
I wish my last name was Johnson for at least a couple reasons.
What's the horsepower and top speed on the track for these cars?
Its probably good that you don't have mics on everyone lol
Zach you might as well sell all of the cart stuff now. He will never want to race those after getting to run the big cars.
Who knows. The girls might be up next.
I have to keep it around for his sisters!!
Damn maybe u got old Smokey that has been under then bench forever!lol! J/k
Ready for it? What did ya do that for?
For the Pipe Layer:

Think he needs a little a cougar in the car time .
Just JB weld it that will take care of it lol😅
CT525?
Where are the videos ?
You Say "Cojones Deep" if I'm assuming Correctly... Use Polish, Use Yiddish, they can't do Automatic Censorship on exotic language very easily. Might get tattled on manually later. 😉 7:14
Number 5 passed a bunch of cars before the start finish line in the heat that you blew up. Is that legit in dirt track racing?
No. He definitely jumped it and got away with it. But he's a good dude, so I forgive him 😂
Why wouldn’t you just put another GM crate motor in it?
Did I hear mom scream a little?
Only a little 😂
