I have been teaching for 15 years now. I enjoyed my 1st 10 years of teaching but I'm coming to the point now where I believe the classroom is not the best place for my physical and mental health. It has reached to the point where I start getting anxiety to go to class because of the bad behavior of students. At this point I'm no longer enjoying the job the I once loved.

Yeah it is very unfortunate. maybe we could definitely find something to do where imparting knowledge is still a part of it. Maybe a tutorial channel.

I love the classroom because I used to work as a banker before I have worked in NGOs before and as a surveyor. Teaching is by far the most fulfilling career for me. This is my last career and if I leave the classroom then I will be self employed. The financial part is easy to navigate since we have enough time to do part time online jobs to fill the gaps

I have come to this point several times throughout my career. However, I’m still teaching 25+ years later. Teaching is in our souls so it is very challenging to completely walk away from it. That being said, if you can find a different career path…follow that path sooner than later.
If you are interested in designing curriculum, you may want to consider creating content and earning passive income on Teachers pay Teachers.
Your knowledge will benefit a very large teacher community🙏🏾

After 26 years, I left the classroom. Got burnt out. Took up another job with the government, got 30 days for vacation time, and lost one month vacation. I've been there for 3 years, burnt out already. The stark reality is to get online jobs so you can work wherever your location so you can enjoy family time, travel, and more and be the owner of your business. That's where my mind is taking me presently. However, the downside is you work harder, have to motivate yourself twice as hard, start up cost might be high, or your business profits may be slow at onset and all of those other factors that you are aware of. The school system is so designed to create worker or labourer that so many people do not think of creating their own, or even think that they need to or can do better. If you are burnt out, be a business owner online, and it will assist in fulfilling some of what you need. ❤❤😊😊
