let’s all be honest 2K 21 current gen is one of the most entertaining and fun things to watch especially wagers, there’s so many mechanics in the game and it’s fun to watch people put it in their gameplay and re-create moves, now people may not like it because of the speed boost and advanced dribble moves but it’s not hard to guard, you just have to k is how to play Dfeance, over 2k21 is one of the best in my opinion

19 was the definition of wasted potential, IMO if they actually put work into 19 nd added events fixed stretches, locks and post scorers Nd made a better park 19 woulda been a top 2 2k, it was the most balanced, really responsive overall great game, nd enjoyable not to mention probably the best dribble mechanics

Troydan def wasn’t trolling, on the myteam side atleast interms of content, it gets better every year with 2k20 having a case for top tier in myteam, gameplay is definitive but myteam content is huge, I don’t even like 2k but still check for player card drops and hop on limited every friday
I loved 2k11 for MyCareer & Crew Mode, I love 2k16 & 2k17 Because Park & Community was Lit asf.

If we being honest tho, 19 was underrated. Gameplay was solid, wasn’t the best but was generally enjoyable

Yup, if you played myleague and got hot with your top player, he would get doubled. The issue with that - it would result in a wide open player 90% of the time, so that is an instant win against the AI. They screwed up the AI defense from 2k16, which killed the offline gameplay, but the online was great. Still not GOAT tier

For me, it’s honestly 2k12. Back then I didn’t buy sports games yearly so I’d play them forever. 2k11 was incredible compared to anything before but I just remember thinking 12 built on 11 and made it better. But I was also young af and I’ve smoked a lot of weed since then so my memory could be off
2k14 slept on not because of the caliber of the game but because of how groundbreaking it was to have a story mode in a basketball game
They just need to make a remastered trilogy of 2k15 2k16 and 2k17 and the community would go nuts.😭

@@beanteam2217 They did ruin the game. They weren’t balanced at all so most people ended up making Stretch Big and Shot Creators. NBA2K17 was the start of the decline. Only people who put that game in the number one spot are people who started playing that year, or the people who use to cheese at the park all day🤣

the poll results are spot on.....except 2K11 should be at AT LEAST 26 percent because it was groundbreaking at the time. it was the first 2K to amaze me when i first put in the disc. that intro still gives me the chills. the jordan challenges were incredible not to mention the greatest bulls teams of all time (and inclusion of classic teams), and also jordan was in the game and on the cover. if you are a bulls fan, you were in sports gaming heaven. 2K16 had it all. they perfected everything. the gameplay, modes, etc. and it was only fitting jordan was on the special edition cover too (greatest 2K cover ever imo). the intro in that one, with facing jordan one on one, was pretty amazing as well.

2k15 was very underrated but for me no 2k after 16 can be put in the convo. Only 17yo and younger would argue for the most recent ones. Recency bias is a hell of a thing.

NBA2K17 is what started the decline. Most people tend to forget that NBA2K17 is the year where 2K slowed the gameplay down, added all of those canned animations you tend to get stuck into, they changed the rather simplistic and fun dribbling, and they added broken builds that was supposed to cater to everyone’s own unique play style apparently. It sucked, it limited badges and creativity which led to people using the same exact broken builds. All of the things that made NBA2K17 trash was pushed even more in NBA2K18. I want to enjoy my basketball game, not have to basically put in a Mortal Kombat combo do simply things like dribbling and scoring in the post.

2k11 overall amazing my career mode and crew mode and black top just amazing , 2k15 , 2k16 , 2k17 was better cause of park and the community was just amazing ! I have played 2k11, 2k13, 2k16 and 2k20. I just played team VS team(or whatever it called) and mycareer, and i really think the game was way more realistic in 2k11 than the other versions. I you want to go through the basketball with an athletic freak and dunk or make a layup (depending of how good the opponent guard you, it's doesnt make sense there's 3 people in paint and you dunk the ball like nothing), that was something the other didn't duplicate to me very well. In the case of the others, changing the difficulty was a headache because of the unrealistic things every higher difficulty mode brings to the table. I doesn't make sense you play with a particular team every time and you lose agaisnt someone that use ateam with 3-4 players that are broke, while he didn't have the same experience as you.
Mannnnn, personally I still believe 17 was the best 2k too come out apart from 11 🤦🏽♂️.

It's just a cash cow nowadays. All about making millions off of micro-transactions.
This years is an absolute mess, it usually takes me 2-3 days to get use to the tweeks they make but this year is impossible. The shooting has been nerfed to s**t!

However, the way they see it is that 2k is a game that after long enough playing there is no need to put money into the game so they assume everybody is at the point where they no longer need to invest when in reality a lot of people would probably invest

@@yosten5812 it's about maximizing profit and 2k has tons of casuals it's the highest percentage of the player base. That's why the game isn't all focused on skills gap and so on. They can make money on a 2k16 but it's nothing compared to a 2k22. The main problem with 2k is that they have no competition.

I don't think people realise how much online gaming has ruined video gaming.
Developers don't even focus on making a decent game nowadays, they put all their energy in to content that they can sell. Before online gaming, when people were just grinding story modes there was more depth to games, developers made games that had longevity, playability, and were enjoyable. Because after they finished the game they needed them to keep coming back. Nowadays they need the player to spend as much money as possible as quick as possible before next year's release!
They need to just copy and paste 2k16 with better graphics onto next gen for 2k22. Just change the rewards to something new. That’s alllllll
