I just completed LASO on T&R w/ a friend. This video helped a ton from a co-op perspective. We were able to do it in 1 hr 45min which felt like lightspeed after our previous attempts. A big skip y'all could've done was doing the double grenade jump w/ overshield in the hanger. Skips a ton of enemies and lets you end the mission shortly after getting Keyes w/o having to go all the way back to the hanger.
We also had the same thing happen before the hanger where we got a checkpoint and there wasn't a grunt by the door. Baited an elite to come by and escaped w/ one bar left. Can't wait for the rest of the campaign lol.
Thanks for the support! At some point we would like to go back and redo these videos since we have gotten better at laso (as well as our commentary) but for now, Halo 2 is taking up our time as you can imagine.
That part with the grunt is a tough break if it happens because you don’t want to scrap the whole run (especially once you finally get past the hellroom with the gold elites). Dedication and improvisation is key in a lot of lasos.
@@IVGamin Thankfully I recorded the run, I was lucky as hell getting the elite to open the door. I happened to throw a grenade that he rolled from, then the blast from the grenade push him to the door. Totally insane RNG we had for the whole run.
Cheers mate, we'll slowly make our way to H2 as well. Never get tired of the Halo campaigns.
Oh y'alls commentary here was also great, made me want to watch the whole thing instead of skipping to parts I needed.
This is a nightmare of a lvl. We were doing it a while back. Got up the lift, then never made it past the gold elites. Planning for a 2nd attempt soon. Thanks for the vid
Yeah that room is probably the toughest part of all Halo CE LASO. Just stick with it and eventually the RNG will help you through. If you have any questions, feel free to let us know!
i dont usually sub to guide channels but you guys have the best coop laso guides that ive found, which supprised me when i saw how little subs you had.

Me and a friend were stuck on a few parts we couldn't really get our heads around but this was quite helpful, the relaxed nature of the video is also pretty nice. Thanks for the video.
The sniper difficulties remind me of this ancient, obscure rumor that supposedly you could one-shot any elite even on legendary, as long as you shot them in the neck in those yellow/orange spots. Even like a decade later I still have no idea why did I buy that back then.
To be young and naive and chasing after those gaming rumors are some of my favorite memories

How long did it actually take you to complete this mission? Great commentary by the way 😉
I want to say (and this is after a few failure attempts) that it took us about 8 hours the first time we ever did it. This attempt might have been around 6 hours.

Just wanted to say thank you guys sooooooo much. I was finally able to push through this level on LASO purely thanks to the despawn in the beggining and some other small things in the future of this video. we were able to get to the first ship room with full ammo, grenades, health, and shields. if yall ever start uploading again in the future you have a dedicated viewer!!!

me and my mate are trying to get through this level in a livestream, we've attempted it twice already, second time we got right to the end and ran out of time before the last checkpoint after playing for 5 hours HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa*cries*
but i watch this video over and over while we're live to make sure we're doing it correctly haha
I’m glad we could help! Yeah, it sucks when you run out of time or the servers decide to go down when in the middle of a LASO mission.
Enemies aren't despawning in the first zone after dropship inbound.
I was shocked to see you got to the room with the 4 floors and you did NOT do the over shield double nade jump to get on the second floor and despawn all enemies until you meet johnson in the prison. Once you figure that strat out there is no way your doing it like this ever again.
How long was your actual playthru
In the area at 29:40 I used the same strategy, but no enemies spawned to the left until we pushed to the door. Is it random how they spawn there?
I believe they spawn in once you enter that area and turn to the left slightly, so while ooooooopz was smacking the jackal, they were spawning in and they spawn in the doorway and come out so it all depends on how fast you push the door (could be wrong but that’s what it seemed like for us)

You can just beat hunters to death with melee, you get your shields back wherever you hit them
Yeah we have done it. The problem for us is that we aren't actually good at the game so we inevitably miss and get laid out by the hunter
My and my friend are finding this really difficult, we are struggling on the third section with the invisibility thing, any tips?
With the gold elites? It’s tough, just a lot of luck with the grunts blowing up and make sure you both are making sure an elite isn’t charging in the hallway. That room is definitely the hardest part in the whole game. It takes some good RNG and luck. Just keep trying, it’ll line up properly eventually.

How do u stop the gold elites rushing all at once?
There is really no way to control that. It just takes a lot of luck and everything going right one time. Stick with it and it’ll line up eventually
@@IVGamin we got past it last night didn't finish the level but we have learned our ow starts to make it all slightly more consistent like gold elites we got a strat that at max only 2 will push at once
Wait did you say you have two other friends in your co-op game?

Gotcha gotcha. Is it possible to 3 or 4 man co-op? Cause I think I heard that it’s possible to do that in reach
I'd think it is but it would be like a double edged sword. More people for enemies is great but also more chances that someone will die. Halo CE and Halo 2 only supports 2 player co-op though.

Are you talking about once you clear the large room and get to the second and third levels?
