Pure! I went from the 12.9 iPad Pro to the mini 7. The convenience carrying it anywhere and battery life alone changed the game among other things for me. I keep my iPhone with me only out of habit and rarely sit at my desktop anymore.

I’m an artist, and my 11” iPad Pro is my main content creation device, but when I really wanna travel light, I grab my iPad mini 7. It’s the perfect size digital sketchbook when on the go. It fits in my jacket or cargo pants pocket easily. I hardly feel it. But when inspiration strikes while walking around NYC I can whip it out and start sketching. I think my two iPads compliment each other nicely. My iphone 16 pro max has also replaced my heavy dslr & lenses. I have completely adopted to an iOS only workflow. No more computers for me.

I'll be honest, if it's not going to have an OLED panel, then it REALLY needs to be high refresh, or at least 90Hz. 60Hz doesn't really cut it anymore, especially if they're going to use IPS, a technology that has been able to run at higher refresh rates for many years now
I’m 100% on board with the iPad Mini Pro! The only thing I dislike about the iPad mini as it stands now is that finger ID. Once they add FaceID, I’m in! I wouldn’t mind that nano texture and an M chips and the same cameras as the iPhone either 😂 so hopefully Apple is paying attention. Otherwise, it really is my favorite device!
I believe the 11-inch size strikes the perfect balance between being a comfortable tablet and offering professional features, especially the iPad Pro M4’s incredible screen.

the ipad mini fixes alot of the issues most of us expect a larger ipad to do.. to be a usable tablet that we expect it to be when we "want" one haha. The smaller size just makes sense. And if you have a phone and laptop already, it fits a lot better between those two than a pro ipad. (unless you didnt have a laptop) iPad OS just makes more sense for the mini. if macOS was on ipad.. the larger ones would be more attractive.
I really think we will all regret asking for thinner bezels. The Mini is currently perfect to hold in so many situations and smaller bezels could negatively impact that.
I love it the only thing I would change is the display after using a pro iPhone and iPad is hard not to see the difference on the refresh rate 120Hz is another level
I've had my iPad mini 6 a few months after its original release, so mini 7's updates or lack thereof was quite underwhelming. The display is it's biggest downfall as it's still based off of the iPhone Xr which was the first device to feature a Liquid Retina Display, which is basically Apple's marketing term for an LCD with rounded corners. It still has 500 nits of brightness and a constant 60Hz refresh rate. Both of which could be improved. The addition of the A17 Pro confused me, but also at the same time felt concerning since it's a binned version of the chip found on the iPhone 15 Pro. Nonetheless, due to the larger area for heat dissipation, it's able to match the iPhone 15 Pro. Overall, this is clearly a stopgap update just for the mini to support Apple Intelligence. I do hope the next generation will come sooner than later for actual tangible updates.

I gave my iPad pro with Magic Keyboard to my wife and bought the iPad Mini 17 pro chip, the reason is because i want an iPad and not a MacBook replacement. If i need a big screen I’ll pickup my MacBook Air. iPad pro is awesome and pair with the magic keyboard can do lot of productivity work. If I didn’t have an MacBook Air I’ll probably stay with my iPad Pro and not buy the iPad Mini.

Just tried it and returned it. Sucks on performance and battery life. Bought a Samsung S10 Plus tablet to replace my iPad Pro 12.9 4th gen. Never going back to Apple.
I've been waiting for this device for at least 1 year, but it turned out to be missing and defective again. So I won't buy it. Frame thickness is no problem, it makes it easier to hold. It's also okay if it doesn't have Faceid, fingerprints are still better and more practical for me. But after the last 3 years of waiting, it is unacceptable to give last year's processor by decreasing 1 core, still offering a 60 hertz screen, still not offering a fast charging, not working with the previous pen. That's why I decided to buy a folding phone or at least a powerful phone with pen support. In other words, Apple is not aware that by cropping the features of its devices like this, it loses not only its tablet customers but also its customers who will buy products such as phones and watches.

Gave the wife mini six when I got m4 ipad thinking I didn't need the mini six but I miss the size so much and have the old cases that should fit. There's no difference other than having the ability to put a sim card on the Wifi+Cellular so you always have internet.

I think the iPad Mini begs for a Paperlike screen protector. Personally, it's a writing tool first so it makes so much sense.
I'm a Samsung guy because their phones and tablets are far more customizable. But the Mini 7 form factor can'tcm be beat.
Ironically, the Z Fold 6 made me appreciate this form factor. 😊

iPad mini 7 is trash same as 6 apple is lame now

@ ordered it tonight after your review and a few others. Gave the wife mini six when I got m4 ipad thinking I didn't need the mini six but I miss the size so much and have the old cases that should fit. I agree with you on gimme gimme a mini pro especially with that textured screen with the fantastic images and colors
