Grace, a little advice from an italian who loves to make pizza: if you want a fluffy crust with loads of bubble you should never roll you pizza with a rolling pin, you should use you hands pushing it from the center while spinning it so that the bubbles move on the outside and you end up with a nice, bubbly and fluffy ring! Maybe you didn't want this piece of advice, but I felt like sharing it anyway ^.^

I use my broccoli water or veg water to make gravy. It makes the gravy taste much better plus it’s healthier. You should try it out! :)
I worked at domino's for 2 weeks and my first day of actually making a pizza my manager made me count out 50 pepperoni. I literally didn't think about it and didn't count then he proceeded to ask me how many I had on there and I had to start over because I couldn't tell him 😭 I was also taught extra cheese is forbidden.

Something that smells bad but tastes good: parmesan! I always think grated parmesan smells kind of like sick, but it tastes so delicious...
That's because parmesan has rennet in it which is actually an enzyme from the stomach acid of cows, so makes sense that it smells the same as sick! Hahah
Same with Camembert/ blue cheeses

You should try a pizza with Alfredo sauce, broccoli, fresh sliced garlic, mushrooms and kalamata olives with mozzarella and chifffonade of fresh basil

haha, don't agree with the quote "all things that smell bad in life are bad". Have you sniffed parmesan cheese? or cheese puffs? terrible smells, but great taste!
Pretty much anything with cheese smells absolutely vile but still tastes great. I think personally for me pizza is the only cheesy food that doesn't smell bad to me haha.

I always parboil all veggies that are hard before putting on a pizza.
Brocolli roasts fairly quickly in the oven anyway and ends up tender and delicious :)
we do a small bit of mature cheddar grated on top of the sauce and under the toppings and then finish it with a little bit of mozzarella on top of the toppings so it's kind of like the best of both worlds
Ngl I really enjoyed cloudy with a chance of meatballs I thought it was really entertaining and the second one is really good too! Why does cartoon food always look and sound delicious? Anyone else grew up watching the telly tubbies and they had those pink drinks? And Charlie and Lola? Any anime and studio ghibli movie, I’m scared to admit but the pie in chicken run? And the meals in coraline?
This reminded me of Binging with Babish, but then he takes the idea & continues to play with it until he has a gourmet version. Love these, though! Always love watching other people cook & put their spin on something & you're just adorable to watch!

When making pizzas, people who have cheese (I don’t have it because I hate it) they put the cheese first, then pizza toppings and then a bit more cheese on top of the toppings

Went to Tesco to buy my auntie a birthday cake for today and saw that you can now get vanilla vegan birthday cake! I knew about the chocolate and the lemon but FINALLY vanilla!!! And wicked have these orange slice thingy too which sound and look delectable😍

I have traveled the world round living on pizza.
Pizza stone is great - but pizza tiles are better. Pizza stones are quite heavy and can be difficult to store unless you keep it in the oven - where it can get quite dirty from other items cooking in there.
I've recently switched to the tiles - about 7 1/2 inches square each. Placed in a square pattern they are as large as my old pizza stone. The wonderful thing is that they can be stacked and then take up very little space for storing in a cubberd or pantry.
They work equally well as the large stone - just so much more convenient:)
Tip ( especially useful if you expect to save leftovers for later) is put cheese on first and baked until melted well. Then put on sauce and toppings. Cheese will keep your crust crisp and puffy rather than soggy and saggy.

Girl I recently made the iced buns too! I used an old school Scottish bun recipe and filled it with my own raspberry jam instead of cherries as I’m not fan of them, I’ve always wanted to make them and they turned out great!

grace i really recommend something similar to peanut butter and oreos that my friend introduced me to years ago which is open the oreo up put nutella so a thin layer covers one biscuit and peanut butter so a thin layer covers the other biscuit and put it back together again; i'm telling you, it's amazing
A local pizza place in my city does a veggie pizza that has broccoli on it and can confirm it’s delicious! Fantastic texture as it is raw broccoli. Also spinach on pizza is fire!
As an American I do find it interesting how Grace talks about the saltiness of peanut butter, that’s not a thing in the states? Our peanut butter tends to be made with molasses and is really sweet. I have had peanut butter on Oreos a lot and I always found it amazing, and cloying in sweetness! Oh another thing we did as kids was dip Oreos in our coffee. Had no business drinking coffee in elementary school, but it was something our dad turned us on to!

In the US, Broccoli on pizza is actually super popular and normal, BUT you typically do a white pizza (with no sauce/olive oil and garlic/white sauce rather than marinara) and sometimes people do ricotta too like broccoli and ricotta or spinach and ricotta
I love white pizza! I had one with bacon and potato when I worked in the US, the whole white pizza thing isn’t a thing in the UK though sadly.

It's definitely cheese on top to secure the toppings. If you want to have an additional layer of cheese underneath as well then go for it.

I got a vegetable pizza from an Italian restaurant (idk whether the owners were Italian tho lol) and it had broccoli on and I've had it ever since. Broccoli and chickpea pizza is good
In Germany it is normal to have broccoli on your pizza. Every delivery service or italian Restaurant/Pizza place has the option to add broccoli to your pizza 😇

We have pizza sauce in the grocery stores here in the US. Many varieties, you just have to find your favorite. Mine is Chef Boyardee. We do toppings then cheese.
