I personally like the huge plot twist in Doki Doki Literature Club. The one which reveals that Monika is self aware within the game and has been messing with the files in the DDLC directory! All of a sudden, the cutesy dating sim visual novel you thought you were playing has become a horror game with intentional glitches. But, you'd have to play the game 3 times to get the real ending.

Too be fair, as revealed in the anime, they didn't do do willingly, essentially being brainwashed into committing mass genocide alongside their teacher who also went crazy. As for Izuru, it's a bit more debatable because it's been stated that he does what he does and acts like he does, it's because he's bored. Much like saitama, he now has all the power in the world, and nothing to challenge him with.

Personally speaking, my favorite plot twist in video games is the one revealed in the true ending of The Witch’s House. If you haven’t played it, I HIGHLY recommend it. Simply put, the character you’ve been playing as, Viola, isn’t actually Viola, but instead Ellen (the witch) in Viola’s body. It’s also made apparent that Viola was attacking you to get her body back, and that Ellen is a horrid person, so when you realize you’ve been helping someone like Ellen the entire game, you feel disgusted for helping her, and sympathize with Viola.

      what happened?

    • @azurim_skies7948
      @azurim_skies7948 5 лет назад +36

@@PigBoy99 I am not sure if I can give a good explanation, but basically, in the last chapter of the game, we learn about Izuru Kamukura, who was basically THE Ultimate; he had every talent. He was an experiment created from Hope's Peak Academy and was even named after it's founder, however, he'd eventually kill all of the council members from the academy (or at least, that is what Junko leads everyone to believe) and would kick start the biggest, most awful, most tragic event in human history. He is also why Junko would resurface in DR2.
The twist is that our mc Hajime Hinata, who in the beginning of the game was the only one who couldn't remember his talent, was Izuru. He couldn't remember because he originally didn't have one. But because the guys that wanted to create someone with every talent needed someone who was wholly lacking in any talents at all, and because Hajime admired Hope's Peak so much, they used him in their experiment. Which, by the way, included directly messing with the brain and ridding him of his memories and personality that they believed interfered with acquiring talent.
So yeah... that's that. Assuming you didn't just look it up already

This is literally like a year late, but it's the first time I've seen this video, so here you go.
Spoilers(?) for Pokemon Sun/Moon / Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
Mohn is Gladion and Lillie's father. And the husband Lusamine lost her mind over. If you're unaware, Mohn is the guy who runs the PokePelago. It's easy to put together - I mean, look at his hair. But if you didn't notice it at first, in the sequel to Sun/Moon (which isn't really a sequel so much as an alternate storyline?) after you beat Gladion at the Pokemon League defending your title (the second or third battle, I think) and go to the Aether Foundation, Mohn appears. Lusamine sees him and they talk. Mohn has NO MEMORY of her. It's kinda painful, actually. After he leaves, Gladion asks her if that's really how she wants to leave things. It's a little heartbreaking, considering the lengths she went to in the first game to get Mohn back. But the best part is that they don't flat-out tell you that Mohn is the missing father/husband. It's easy to _see_, but if you're like me and didn't notice it, it's pretty cool when you finally find/figure it out.

Dragonborn: moves to stand next to Ralof Tullius: steps up to Ulfric Ulfric Stormcloak. I still think to this day that DR1 had the best Chapter 6, but yeah it's hard for me to pick a best Plot Twist from that Franchise. The "End of the World" part in DR1 for sure is the best plot twist in the game, even with the hints. DR2, that one was harder to pick a fav plot Twist, from the deal with "Fat Togami" to who the true Mastermind is, in Despair Girls, the biggest plot Twist for me was the post game content involving Shirokuma and Kurokuma, and DRv3, every single twist in Ch. 6, needless to say my brain had been fried that to this day I still don't know what to make of it. It got TOO meta lol. I couldn't put the plot twist in Ch.1 of V3 because I figured it out during the investigation.
Other major plot twists, I have to put King Dedede (sp?) not being the true villain in Kirby: Return to Dream Land (NES game). For me after the Princess Fake Out in the first Super Mario game, this was the first major plot twist for me in a game. Another being from one of my fav games- Grandia 2 from the reveal who the true villain is to a certain char death. Let's see, there was also KH franchise from who Roxas is in KH2 to well, the post credits scene in KH3. Heck we know the KH franchise is still going to continue and I am like, "What other plot twists are we getting Nomura? How else do you plan to f**k with my head!?" LOL!

Spoilers for an old DS game ahead:
    You have been warned.
Also, I may not have included all the details 100%. It's been a while since I played that section of the game.
I'm not sure if this counts, but in Dragon Quest 9, after the slow reveal of the Gitish empire existing and being obviously evil, you'd think that king Godwyn is the final big bad. You beat him, and then go into the dungeons of gittingham palace (the oubliette) and release the other fallen celestrians.
Then there's one last celestrian in the deep depths of that that you go to save.
You go to save him, and the first thing he does is beat you to death (you live though) and it turns out corvus was behind literally everything since the light hitting the observatory and the earthquake.
Long story short, corvus transforms the realm of the almighty into the realm of the mighty, and there you have to fight barbarus (can't spell it. It's the dragon) and then corvus.

rainbow Joyner In my honest opinion. I found the plot twist of Danganronpa v3 to be the best one. That is coming from someone that liked the plot twists a lot from the other Danganronpa games as well. I seriously didn’t expect the game to get so meta. That is probably one of the most meta things I seen in fiction or in a game.

The “So-and-so was actually the main villain all along!” kind of plot twist tends to be either really good or really bad (The same understandably goes for the sub-category, “The one who you were led to believe was the villain was actually innocent and your supposed ally is evil & tricked you!”). Some movies and the like have had twist villains just to say they had twist villains, and the results were not great.

I haven’t played any of the non Undertale games on here I’ve heard about most of the other twists from discussion videos like this. But, one plot twist that wasn’t spoiled to me because I was like 6 or 7 at the time was Portal. Just that moment when you finally disconnect GLaDoS and weathly takes control and he starts moving everything and he starts up the elevator which then starts to slow... and you hear the completely maniacal laugh you immediately know you’re F***ed. Just was soooo awesome to me.

One of my favorite plot twists is in kingdom hearts 2:
You venture to Ansem’s old lab to find information. (I don’t actually remember WHY they went there. Tell me if you do)
Mickey suddenly appears, and decides to help you out. But when you find Ansem’s records, the picture of him looks likes
A completely different person then Sora remembers from when you fought him in Kingdom Hearts 1. Sora address’s to
Mickey that the person in the picture is not Ansem, and that a painting in the other room is the actual Ansem. But then
Mickey tells Sora that, the Ansem that you battled in Kingdom Hearts 1, wasn’t actually the actual Ansem, just his Heartless.
This one really caught ME off guard because the Ansem Reports from Kingdom Hearts 1, as well as other information from the
Game, specificly from Ansem Riku, really leads you to believe that Ansem was not a good guy, and that the Ansem you knew up
Until that moment, was the Actual Ansem.
    Wait................................................................
    ........................................................................
You referenced Number 1 in the number

Tbh here, I personally think "Broken Age." should be on the Number one spot. I mean, sure *SOME* people might see the twist where both stories are the same, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't expect "Mog Chothra" (Sorry if I spelled the name wrong.) which seemed to be a living, breathing creature, to be a freakin' space ship! Also, why do they need the Teen's (I'm guessing here :P) to "sacrifice"? What do they need from them? Despite this somewhat "hate", this is my favorite channel that is kinda small. I will always enjoy new content. This is just something that annoyed me a bit. Putting a popular Plot Twist kinda seem's lazy, in my opinion, of course. Anyways, can't wait for new videos and more content! Cya next time! Bye.

    Something for LEGO City Undercover:
Its twist was technically kinda teased in the 3DS prequel, The Chase Begins. In the penultimate chapter, you as Chase McCain wiretap a criminal meeting to find out Blackwell's working with the chapter criminal, Carl Walnuts, to steal a mining mech for... reasons, so his villainous side was shown canonically earlier.

My personal favorite plot twist is that of Night in the Woods, if you’ve played the game you know the scene that I’m talking about, the one by the cliff with the cultists, the way that the game switches from a slice of life mystery to a thriller about 5 young adults trying to escape a cult made of the townsfolk they know. Worse yet, the way that the game flips from what we think is some sort of paranormal phenomena to a terrifying cult gives me chills to this day. And all of this is without even mentioning the smaller “Everything was just shapes” twist.

All these comments, but my favourite twist was only mentioned once. From Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game has you as a almost pure blank slate, but then questions it. But the depth if the game is designed so you forget it to some degree. That is (spoiler time) until Bastilla is kidnapped by the BBEG, who tells you the truth. You were his master, the one who started this evil war, and this is his chance to overthrow you. It changes your backstory, how you look at the game, your connection with Bastilla, everything. Add on its choice: take the redemption by trusting the one who lied to you or throw it away for the evil one, who has nothing but respect for you? It muddies the line, and this is for a game over 15 years old.
It's not "Would you kindly?" levels iconic, but for me, it was the first big twist in a game.

The fact that you weren’t in a time loop and that it was your coworker is restarting/cleaning the damage to make it look like you’re in a time loop is just as crazy and cool since you don’t get a lot of twist like that in any media, and finding out that you and your coworker turn out to be Ai robots of real people trapped in a testing room is just wild and shocking
