    Dude, when I started playing guitar 20 years ago, I was muting EXCLUSIVELY with my Left / neck hand. LOL
    Muting Drop D power chords with my middle finger, and standard chords with the index and pinky.
    Took me a couple years to figure out how to rest my right hand palm by the bridge. 20 years ago, RUclips wasn't what it is today and most people didn't even own a MacBook or PC

    I've grown really disillusioned with youtube guitar teachers. They make you watch hours about memorizing the fretboard, circle of fifths, modes etc., instead of just doing this: teaching people how to be musical with simple tools. The disconnect between the guy who played for 20 years and the beginner watching youtube vids is just too large.
