- Our Wedding Reception is in 7 days! Its gonna happen in the village in India where my father-in-law was born. We got married in the US during Covid lockdown and we never had a ceremony in India after that. So my father-in-law decided its time to do it now and in short notice. So, its time to go shopping for new clothes in this small town in India.

This why Chennai shops are better, they will literally tie the saree on top of your dress and you can see how it looks and not have to imagine it.

Tamil weddings dont have a wedding saree colour. It should not be white or black or hues of black. Other than that any colour works. It just have to be grand with big border with silver or gold thread women into it.

Tamilans don't have to use Red for wedding, that is only in North India.
Koora selai is mostly maroon in colour.
Nowadays, it is not always red either!
Also, for the wedding it is one colour and for the reception another colour. No red in the last few weddings I have attended

Tamil Nadu is famous for Nalli silk Saree. Lot of people don't like silk because it is not a vegan material. 14000 silkworms die to make way for one silk saree.

Dear sister , according to Indian system we should not touch hair frequently just like that. Each time we touch hair we have to clean hands. See eastern culture indians developed this bad habit of adjusting now and then. Without cleaning touching all.

There is no common culture for Tamilians.

There are also millions of nicer people in our country, India and around the world, who are from well off class, knowing how to speak with others, especially when two hearts are bonding together in wedlock. Speaking is not only an art, but it also REAPS OUR KARMA.
Everyone should strive to make good karma through thoughts, words, and deeds/actions. Our Indian philosophy is well known for the LAW OF KARMA, which says REAP WHAT YOU SOW. OUR WORDS HAVE GREAT POWER OTHERS AND AS WELL AS ON OUR OWN KARMA. WHATEVER WE UTTER, WOULD MAKE IMPRESSIONS/IMPACT ON OUR SOULS TOO. THEREFORE WE HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL IN WHAT WE SAY.
