Gen Z is getting more politically active which I think is a VERY GOOD thing for democracy. Old baby boomers like myself need to support them and their interests. However, I think it would take a couple generations or so to strengthen democracy if Trump and all the MAGA/authoritarian poison was suddenly removed from the system. There is actually opportunity in what's been happening. Opportunity to put safeguards in so that authoritarians like Trump cannot run for POTUS should he be convicted.
