This was one of the greatest games of hurling ever played in the first 30 minutes then out of nowhere Kilkenny had the game won by half time. These games arent really what they used to be tbh, Kilkennys dominance for so long in this period killed alot of interest from the public,and they havent really revived since.
Alot of ppl looked up to those kilkenny hurlers, they were inspirational players and what ever hurler strive to be. Thats why they were the greatest team
He was named Hurler of the Year across the board in 2008 but only won two All Stars, so yeah, I think the case can be made he was a little underrated. Certainly he held his place on that great Kilkenny team and was hugely influential in several of the 8 All Irelands he won.
