Hi Nick, after you drained the radiators why not use brackets that allow the radiator to tilt forward to the floor with the radiator full for future decorating. Mine work great.
Wow!. you made that look easy. I have a question. I have a tiny 2 x 2 ft (approx) radiator positioned under a bay window off the floor, with the pipes coming out of the plasterboard (and not out of the floor). I want to completely remove not just the radiator but also the pipes that come proud of the plasterboard wall into the room. Is this possible?
Hi Ashvan bro, thanks for your kind words and taking the time to write a nice comment. If you haven't already please like and subscribe to my page as it really helps.
Is there another way to stop the water coming out if you dont have any push fit or copper pipes like a stopper? The old radiator is getting replaced by a towel radiator and will be off for a while. Any help would be great as the wall is being plastered.
Hi Atillla the Hun, great news hope it all works out, thanks for taking the time to comment and if you haven't already don't forget to like and subscribe!
Hi Nick, Thanks for the useful video. I am planning to replaster and paint behind the radiator. Can I still turn on the central heating while one radiator is taken off to warm other rooms.
What if you cant bleed the rad as the valve has been rounded off can i still take the rad off? Its going to be replaced by a towel radiator any advice would be great
You mean a thermostatic radiator valve.. it's done the same, but use a Female Blanking Cap WASHING/ MACHINE RADIATOR Valve Brass Cap with Washer or the valve may open and cause a flood. But, you've probably done all this by now and sorted it..😂

Thanks that’s saved me having to spend money on a plumber and was easy to do..👍
I love it! Thank you! Also thanks for taking the time to write a positive comment
This makes it seem so easy. Fingers crossed it is as easy as it looks. Thanks for the tips.
Did you try it?? I am currently stripping wallpaper and looking for ways to get the wallpaper off from behind the radiator..
@Gabby239 did you try it? I Need to remove 2 of mine
So mine didn't work! I don't think I have the right type of radiators and we broke a pipe and had to call out a plumber to fix it.

Hi nick, you got a video on replacing a lock shield? Stupidly broke the the lock whilst tightening it to put a new blanking cap on. Thanks.

Nick if you take it off, can you flush it so it's clean. For example in the garden to get rid off black slush?
I was thinking the same thing.
Thank you. 🌹
You are so welcome
Great thank you
Perfect thanks
