Hey pedalheads!
Once is not custom, today we will try a pedal designed for vocals : The Echo Master by Death By Audio. the Echo Master is a lo-fi, analog tape-style delay unit that can transform the delay sound into a chaotic realm of noise and feedback. It's a nice preamp too, As it's a test, I'm not always in time in the second part of the video, I'm not in a recording nore writing session, I mostly say "Echo Master / Death By Audio and not always on the beat so please be indulgent! But tho' you're free to dislike, of course, and also like, share and get notified or suscribe to the channel.

thanks! it was done in 2 minutes for the need of the video, it's the little Arturia drumbrute impact with tube preamp in the end..

i just got mine repaired so id assume it would leave the shop a ok but mine is making a lot of noise - how is yours so clean ?
Dunno mate, a few other users said that too... DBA usually did tank build devices..

Great demo! Did you have any noise issues with this pedal? I've seen some demos where there appears to be white noise / hiss, but it seems silent here!
Hello, thank you, it was not seriously music but fun to do :). Well actually not at all, a few other asked that too. The one I get was super clean!

@@Firesites Yup, I did a few other takes on vocals using different pedals to achieve a close result (the EM was lended), it's possible to achieve that for a bit less money i guess :)
Hello! I got this pedal and it's much more noisy than yours is in the video, like white noise, how did you get yours to be so quiet?
Hi Julia and thanks for your input, My microphone was simply connected to the EM's xlr input. I did not much! How is the general power installation at your place (grounded) ? What's the chain made of between your voice and the recorder ?
@@Audiorial Yep grounded - i'm running it straight through my SM7B into my audio interface and the noise super loud. I tried a different power supply as well.
@@juliafj I would need to be here to understand where it comes from (if it's not a faulty unit), any USB involved in the chain ?
What I would do is to test the samo but instead of the interface I would try on a mixer or external recorder (zoom/tascam stuff), to "isolate" the problem, if it occurs on both set up, the unit is prob. faulty, if not, the noise has to do with the rest of the chain. What the interface ?

@@onkelberra3166 I don'tknow of an equivalent, but I use to do mic->booster (or drive like the Ego Driver) and then Echo like the Echoes by Keeley..

Cool advertising. 1 Cool looking. 1 Quite expensive. -1 designed for vocals, (""but suprise"") it wont take phanton thru...so half of the use which is recording, gone.
As a effects loop works very well. As a delay it is nothing to highlight on it. If the price was 100 quid..would be acceptable but the price for what is it in my opinion is better off to look somewhere else.
I love it but me too I think it's largely overpriced, esp. in Eu! I don't have it anymore, if needed I now use a preamp that can be overdriven and some cool delay
