The Penguin is the secondary antagonist in Batman: The Telltale Series. A powerful criminal in the United Kingdom, his true identity was Oswald Cobblepot, a member of one of Gotham's most influential families. Forced into a life of crime due to the manipulations of Thomas Wayne and his allies, Penguin sought revenge against the Wayne family and the current generation for this. To achieve this, Cobblepot joined the terrorist organization Children of Arkham and would become a key player in their schemes against Gotham's elite.
To be honest and I know some will hate me, but I like this penguin, one because he was friends with Bruce.
The idea was sound, but the execution was weak. Not helped by his arrogant and lousy attitude.

What I like about the Telltale Series when they're talking about the villains' backstories, they had justified reasons for why they became what they are and killed others
Eh, I'm not quite convinced on Two-Face because he's lacking key elements like the acid and the abusive childhood. Plus, Harley Quinn would make more sense if she had feelings for John Doe back at Arkham, but waited for him to make the first move.
Because usually villains have reasons to be like that.
The only way you could justify murder is if it was self-defense. These villains killed innocent people. Penguin, Two-Face, Lady Arkham
Yes and no, they still did some pretty horrible things. Penguin and Lady Arkham drugged innocent people (excluding Hill) into insanity and threatened to kill even more, and Two-Face blew up a whole city block full of people to get rid of their drugs and turned Gotham into a police state. At least with him you can use the excuse that it was his split personality taking the wheel.

Are you referring to the DCEU? They were trying to play catch up to the MCU and the only good pre-Aquaman film was Wonder Woman.

Yeah, this one makes the most sense for Colin's casting. Kinda deviating from how Penguin is traditionally portrayed, but it's interesting to say the least.
I always saw Penguin as being the shift in the city being ruled by the mob to freaks. Maybe the planned trilogy will show this.

Plus Bruce's father and his partners were responsible for Oswald's family's downfall. The dr*g death of his mother, his fortune and land being taken from him. Everything. Oswald shouldn't have taken it out his own best friend, no, but at the same time, he lost the opportunity to get back at the person directly responsible, Thomas Wayne. So he went for the next best things. Hill and Bruce. So I understand Oswald's reasoning as well as Bruce's

It's Cobblepot's fault, he destroyed Harvey's mind, he attacked Bruce and take control over his company, Bruce did nothing wrong.
Jason Spisak did a wonderful job on Oswald’s voice. This version of The Penguin is my favorite. He’s tall skinny and people were actually threatened by him. I do very much enjoy the actors in the Arkham franchise as well as the animated series. But Jason I feel just added seriousness to the character and his design made it easier to take The Penguin serious as a credible threat.

I love how the characters in this series have REAL incentive to be like how they are. As much as i like the tim Burton films, the character motivation for the antagonists was weak at best

Sins of the Father trope. Bruce is a Wayne, and is a symbol of his father’s legacy. Destroying him means destroying everything Thomas Wayne worked for.

Seems like Telltale's Penguin is meant to be a foil to be Bruce, an answer to "what are you without all your money?" Hey wait, what made them choose Penguin instead of Anarky? Hell, if Hush and Black Mask had been made Children of Arkham then they could have prepped fans for one hell of a Season 3.

Your comment reminds me of how I figured out Silco is also Vulpes Inculta from Fallout New Vegas.
I recognized his voice immediately when watching Arcane. through the entire series I was like "wow, he sounds just like Oz!" waited until I finished the show before looking up his voice actor and realizing, "oh, shoot it is!" love both characters.
Honestly I feel for this Penguin more than the Arkham version he’s more of a tragic character and his friendship with Bruce definitely added more chemistry

Gotham’s Penguin is easily the best
I disagree. The worst Penguin I have seen is still Batman the animated series. He was the least interesting of the regular rogues in that series and had maybe one good episode to his name. This I would label one of the top 3.

Maybe he thought he had some kind of deal with Batman? It wouldn't be the first time on this series that people suspect Bruce is paying Batman in some way, to protect him or otherwise. One of the major reasons people are so blind to the possibility is they just can't fathom Bruce being that way due to his social standing and overall demeanor. To be fair, it seems far more likely that the billionaire would be handing out fancy tech in exchange for protection, for instance, than going out dressed up as a bat protecting the streets with incredible and unprecedented physical and mental prowess, risking his life for no tangible benefit.
He respects Batman somewhat and is too prideful to even think Bruce would be the one screwing his plans

Characters get their design changed a lot. Plus Penguin in this version is young/pro boxer especially matching up with the comics

Batman is a fool. Killing the villains is the only way to stop them but he don't understand that. When The Penguin goes out of jail, he will start killing and stealing again and that's all Batman's fault. This madman don't protect people. His methods kills innocent people. Of course, I'm the bad guy because I think killing the villains is good. At least Batman think that I am bad but the truth is Batman is a bad guy.
Truth is you're a man advocating murder. Specifically vigilantism and serial killing. That's what you're supporting. It's not just foolish, it's psychotic. Especially when it comes to blaming a vigilante for not enforcing the death penalty when he has no authority to do so.
