Bells Beach on Victoria’s South Coast is the longest-running surfing competition and will host the 61st edition this year. With the hope of scoring long-period, groomed walls, the surfers will need to display the perfect combination of power, precision, and timing. The biggest surfing legends have had the honor of winning and ringing ‘The Bell’ and 2024 will see a new generation vying for the opportunity to cement their names in one of surfing’s most prestigious events.

The two waves of G Medina was incredible, another Level in what surf is about!!!!!
There are some surfers who cunningly avoid combat in the junctions, so as not to take risks. They arrive there a little earlier. A big maneuver but not in the eye of the junction. Medina, on the contrary, never runs away from it. I also love how he connects the maneuvers, without hitting the board or anything. It just flows from one to the other if the wave allows it.

And yes have judged at a high level. So not a 9 for, the best turn was the last which was good but hardly worthy of a 9

Really? Where cockroaches cry? Maybe in Australia? Because in Brasil they don't, actually they don't make any noise under the risk of coming smashed under our shoes. Maybe where you come from they do and you listen to them. What I saw is a surfer (Medina) that I like him or not was (and often is) superior to his opposition. Maybe who is crying where those who are bad losers.

That 9.33 wasn't surfed well. Bog rail to dump rail. And the end looked perfunctory. I don't think you should be giving high scores just for wave selection. This debate has been going on for decades. For me, it simply looks like the judges should check their energy bills for the amount of gas they're putting up Gabe.
