I lived 5 years in Uganda and visited Rwanda in 2023. U think U are in two different worlds..Rwanda no potholes, very clean and organized, good infrastructure, no corruption, the taxes go into the country.not in the pockets of the leaders. Because most of the people are politically illiterate and tribalistic and the result we have in Kenya and Uganda, smooth talking thieves and criminals in government. These countries are so indebted, there is no money for development . They take loans from China, Russia, IMF, World bank and embezzle them, instead of investing in money generating industry
For once Mr Mwenda for once you’re making sense. It took you 30 years to see the real Uganda as we all see it We have Leaders who are so insensitive to the daily needs of their own people. Things like Education, Healthcare, the Environment,Infrastructure,Human Rights, even simple things like clean drinking water. They simply don’t care if we live or die. What makes me sick to my stomach is citizens are being brutalized,tortured and killed by the very people that are supposed to protect them! What a shame of Leadership!
KCCA is an Authority like URA, NFA, NEMA, etc. It is not headed by the Lord Mayor. It is headed by two cabinet ministers, the KCCA Executive Director and his Deputy, It has over 10 RCCs, it has a host of other Directors for planning, Engineering, etc, and many other technical staff including an independent enforcement. Stop thinking that it is overseen by Lukwago. Kampala is decades older than NUP and opposition. Museveni is the biggest problem of Kampala. If he can manipulate the constitution and extent his terms and age by force, he can aso change Kampala if he likes. But he also survives in that chaos, grabbing Kampala land and building malls, arcades and hotels, etc

After seeing that in the Uk I stoped complaining I want to be honnest every single day there is road works on every road in the Uk. I have travelled and I have seen no country is ok. 👌 but regardless we need to do better..

Who says they are repairing roads constructed in 1890? Even after repairing the next day u will find same issue. After traveling and seeing all these things I stoped complaining at least not roads.

I have travelled extensively but honestly Kampala is the ugliest city. Zero urban planning, dirty roads, street vendors everywhere etc its a shame
