I guess the biggest chance to get covid is everyone going down do PCR everyday.. Dont really understand the purpose to do this for everyday?!! I am shanghainess, currently stay in Singapore. My parents also been locked down in SH now. Hope you and your family could get well soon!!!! I am really disappointed with the current situation in SH.

麦老师 我也经历了上海的封锁 从三月初到四月底 后来成功在4月30号回到国外 这次疫情对我造成的影响和伤害远远不只是封锁本身 看到的很多黑暗的东西 我甚至觉得自己患上了PTSD 我曾经有多爱中国现在就有多失望 我深深的热爱这块土地 但是感觉那早已不再是家 那种信仰坍塌的感受只有自己知道 感谢你曾经热爱我的家乡 抱歉让你失望了 希望你们全家早日康复
祝老師全家人早日康復，我和我的老婆孩子二月底的時候在香港感染了，當時是香港最混亂最無助的時期，我們上報政府，但沒有人管我們（我們都轉陰性了才收到消息），我們在家隔離，不敢岀門，幸亏有親人朋友幫我們買药品和物資。幸運的是我的小孩（十四個月大)發了兩天高燒就精神好了，當然之後兩三天內是很容易累，我和我老婆沒有發高燒，只有喉咙痛，還有像重感冒的症狀，感染其間我們有吃西药和中药(蓮花清蘊也有），第9天就轉陰了，之後只有我岀現了後遺症(很容易累，每天突然暈眩，乏力，很容易咳嗽）情況維持了兩個星期才好轉，我老婆就咳嗽，轉陰後我們也堅持吃了一星期中葯，我意思是不要抗拒中葯，因為它是調理為主。三月底我自己回內地飛到上海隔離，沒想到酒店隔離第四天做檢測說我陽性，我想應該是复陽，更沒想到上海大爆發，封城了，我在酒店再住了五天(中間轉到了另一個酒店，全部是確診者）才轉移了到了方倉醫院，我當時是青浦區的體育館改建的，一開始也害怕，可是去到了就感覺無所謂了，環境也沒人說的可怕（希望你們去的也是好的環境），飯菜也可以接受，住了五天，做了三次核酸，連續兩次陰就批准岀院了！和附近的人都開起玩笑，不想走了，因為當時封城外面物資都短缺，回到家飯菜都沒方倉的好，我也和幾個積極的病人經常走動做簡單運動，我們也是同一批早走的人（有一些是本身在酒店隔離時症状就好很多)，方倉有很多小孩，都是父母陪伴的，你們心態要保持樂觀，要多喝水，做運動，有保持衛生清潔，有條件洗澡一定要洗，不要怕麻煩和髒，給的药要吃，希望你們有带眼罩和耳塞🤣，另外重點要留意小麦狀況，岀現後遺症要跟醫生說！祝福你們，加油！

@@ShangtownEazy during whole lockdown? Everyone got the compensation? How many? Like USA, their people got at least twice compensation from the government. But look what happened now? At the beginning, the people didn't want to work because they have compensation. That caused lot of problems. High inflation is one of the consequence! China government will figure out a way to help those people in need. Don't worry! You are in Australia!

Hi Teacher Mike! So sorry for what you are going through right now. I just recovered from Covid. Pretty much same symptoms like yours. It took me 2 days to break the fever, a few more days to clear up my stuffy nose and coughs. I only took some Tylenol to reduce the fever and a few cold medicines( I don't think it worked but just took it to make myself feel better) when coughing too much. To me it's like a bad cold, or maybe flu. Good thing is that I got to quarantine at home (I live in the U.S.) and didn't feel the stress that all the people in China are feeling right now. Glad that you and your son are feeling better. Hope your wife feel better soon. Stay strong! It will be over soon! 加油！

麥克老師，你不必過度擔心你老婆，頭兩三天是比較辛苦，大概過4天左右，她的症狀跟你兒子一樣會輕很多的，你們都打過疫苗多數不會有重症出現，我來自香港，我的同事、鄰居、親戚、朋友七到八成有都中招，休息一個星期(醫務工作人員)就得去上班了。
問題是香港打的疫苗是復必泰 而內地打的是科興啊😂

Man... i feel for you. The last thing you want when being sick is having to get up. Cant imagine having to deal with all this. Stay strong and positive will be your best option in all this. Same situation here. Quarantined for several weeks and just recovered from Covid. Probably got it during a test, cross-infection. Your son Xiao Mai is so positive, he made my day. I hope you guys will recover soon, I remember I drank a lot of water and some Lianhuaqingwen, this traditional Chinese medicine has worked well for me, you may want to try it a little bit, and see how your immune system reacts to it, despite many people criticize it. This traditional Chinese medicine didn't go through a double-blind test, but most people find it can mitigate the symptoms.

The speed of recovery by Mike son shows its only a serious flu. For those who are tested positive and have lungs congestion are the ones who need to be careful, take Lianhua medication for fever, take vit c, vit d3, zinc and ivermectin for recovery

Me, my wife and my son also got Covid tutor weeks ago in Shanghai, my personal thought is there are three reasons for that: 1 we have high risks of get infection when we were doing volunteers, although there are lots of guidelines teaching you how to put on and off the personal protection equipments, but it still has high chances of getting infected. 2. The delivery supplies, even though you disinfected the packages already, the food itself has already been infected, and this is my biggest guess of getting the covid this time. 3. Although your community neighborhood is under lock down area, you are still required to go downstairs to take covid test, sometimes you have to meet with other peoples, line up, which is completely against the rule of avoiding group gathering, it does not make any sense, however, we have to do the test anyhow.
I got covid and brought the virus to my son, we both had high fever lasting 3-4 days, and my wife ended up got infected because she has to accompany my son at the hospital.
Wish you all the best, the virus itself is not scary, it is what happened got us fearful.

You’re not getting an airborne infection by deliveries, sorry unless it’s because you are in contact with an infected driver. The amount of food and product China has wasted only to have the virus spread more than ever is ridiculous.
The reason why it’s spreading is the testing plus ventilation vents. If someone In your building has covid, you will get it too eventually. It’s just so virulent.
I feel like the Chinese gov after almost 3 yrs still had no idea how the virus is spread and will blame everything else but it’s own practices.
How's your quarantine centre condition? How were you guys discharged? Did you get your green pass back?
Yes instead of going downstairs to do PCR tests on EVERYONE, why not just give them rapid tests to test themselves at home everyday? The accuracy is like 72%-97% but consecutive tests can still work. Once rapid tests show positive, or one has symptoms, then do the more accurate PCR test.
As long as people don’t fly off the handlebars and start slagging off the party, you’ll be alright!

My wife and I infected with covid early April, sent to hospital. Not afraid of the virus at all, my family and friends all got covid back home. But the policy is what everyone is afraid of
That's the problem, many said they didn't have bed or blanket at quarantine, but he is a foreigner so probably get better treatment.
Now not sure how they will do when they come back and see theirs house get ransack like many videos of people crying theirs heart out after.
Same for us back in 2020. Back then there was no vaccine. I didn't have to go to the hospital while my wife stay in the hospital for a few days.

I got covid in Jan and recovered in 2 weeks.Cause I am in Australia， the symptom was mild so I self-isolated at home.I did nothing but drank a lot of water everyday.So please drink more water and take good rest. Hope you and family get well soon.Hang in there！
stay safe. The condition in the quarantine hospital is not that bad especially food. My mom was there for 5 days and she was happy with almost everything except the sleep. With light always on, it will be difficult for some people in the beginning to sleep though.
我是香港人，3月我們全家人都感染，包括我，3月分香港每天最高5萬7千個案，我們輕症在家隔離，我們一家四口只是發燒了一晚就好了，沒有什麼重症，不需要擔心病毒，這場是人禍！

No worries, I locked myself 2 months still positive and then another two months already negative but symptoms remain (exhaustion, anosmia, phlegm problems). Life is hard but we can go through it. 🙏💪
Not in China, they will be force to quarantine centers. Since they are foreigners, they will probably get better treatment than local, probably a nice decent facility, but don't think they can have decent toilet with so many people there.
Now theirs home, probably get entire, disinfected with all food and other stuffs get thrown out and probably look like theirs home get ransack when they got home.

We completely agree when you said “there’s a lot of false hope.” Unfortunately this has been such a difficult situation and is not easy. The biggest fear is testing positive, not to be sick, but to what will happen. Hopefully you are back in your apartment and feeling better.
The people must realize covid is treatable during early stage. There are also cases of flu when heavily loaded with virus will give you a false positive.

2）讓上海的人知道，他們別想比東北有特例。
